    Let's have an understanding...........
I will work on speaking more clearly from now own and I may have to get a new Mic.
I know that it's hard to understand me sometimes, but the only times people post comments about the way I talk are in my POPULAR videos. You can hate on the video and dislike it all you want, I don't give a fuck. However,I will not tolerate people insulting me on my talking. I don't mind advice or a little contructive critizism, but posting insulting comments is something I'm not going to put up with.
And I DEFINITY will not tolerate racial comments. Yes, I'm black...and if you have a problem with my skin color, you need to unsubscribe to me right now. Saying things like " Black people can't talk" only proves your stupidity and ignorance.

Excalibur 2 is even harder to get in international versions because the frames run at 50hz instead of 60, but the timer still runs the same. Basically the game runs about 15% slower, so you need to get to the end of the game in 10 hours instead of 12.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Paladin Shield from FFVI. In order to acquire this item you have to:
    - Recruit Locke by completing the Phoenix Cave in the WoR. This is one of the most difficult and time-consuming dungeons in the entire game.
    - Use Locke to find the Cursed Shield in Narshe.
    - The Cursed Shield gives stat penalties; -7 to Strength, Speed, Stamina, and Magic and no boosts to Defense, Evasion, Magic Defense, and Magic Evasion. It inflicts Doom, Silence, Berserk, Confusion, and Sap on the wearer. It also makes the user weak to Fire, Ice, Lightning, Poison, Earth, and Water.
Only after winning 256 battles with this item can you get the Paladin Shield. There are ways you can make it easier but it is still extremely time consuming to win those battles. Let's not forget that even if you equip a Ribbon on the wearer, they STILL have doom at the start of the fight, for 256 battles. Have fun with that.

These people that have said that they got the *Pink Tail* after a few tries...
Guys, the drop rate is in percentage. It means that if you got it after a few fight with the Flan Princess, you're lucky, and that's it. I'm assuming you also got the patience to have 99+ Siren (and I'm talking about stealing 1 item from 1 enemy). If you didn't get the *Pink Tail* and used all of your Siren, then you have to go back to Lunar Dungeon and get another 99 Siren. Unless you've done it before, you don't know how tedious it is (you can buy them in the DS version, making it somewhat easier, and not to mention that Treasure Hunter doubles the chance of item drop).
Please don't make it as if the *Pink Tail* is easy to get, because it is not, and I have a legit proof.

  • @izovire
    @izovire 10 років тому +5

Triple Triad in FF8 is very important if you want to absolutely max out your stats quickly. You can exchange your gilgamesh card for 10 hero's (I think that's what it is). and if you do the one side quest before disc 4 you can have your cards regenerate on the Ragnorok. You sell your hero's for a ton of gil and you buy things like permanent status upgrades which are expensive... but through the card game you can max very quickly.
Once you play it enough you kinda like it :P

    • @Mannetasi
      @Mannetasi 8 років тому +5

After multiple playthroughs i have trouble just getting to 50 strikes in a row i don't even wanna think about doing 200.
The way to get the Venus Sigil has to be one of the most stupid things they have ever done in any Final Fantasy game, seriously EVER, whoever came up with this idea should be fired.
Tournesol and Knights of the Round for example might take you forever but at least one mistake won't undo all the work you have done to get it.

    • @ryannbaws2711
      @ryannbaws2711 8 років тому

Shadowpatrick_1007 Dude, listen to me. There is a spot on the map, where you can PROC the lightning strike simply by stepping on a single spot. It's INCREDIBLY easy, takes only about 15 minutes, and you might have sore fingers after.
But what I'm trying to tell you is, if you try to tackle this challenge simply by running around and waiting for lightning to strike at random: then YES. I agree with you. That would be retarded, and literally, physically, almost impossible. But if you look up the video that shows you how to do it the RIGHT way, it's not even hard.
Basically, there's a pillar next to a crater. You simply have to run back and fourth from the pillar to the crater. The moment you touch the crater, you will see the flash and lightning will strike. Doing it this way means you will know the EXACT moment lightning will strike, and you can do it in a way that makes it so that the lightning strikes like every 3 seconds.
At that point, it just comes down to focus & mental timing, and it's really not as hard as you're making it out to be. You can even pause when you get to 100 strikes, give your fingers a rest, and then continue. I agree that it's a menial task & annoying, but not impossible or that difficult by any means.

I know i'v heard about that but only years later when i started to watch Darkkefkas Top 10s.
What i was doing in the past was standing in once place waiting for the next strike, which yeah that didn't work out very well.
Even still this "Minigame" or whatever you wanna call it is still really stupid.
Oh well i don't use Lulu much anyways late game so it's not that big of a deal if i don't get it.

Doing that chocobo minigame for the Sun Sigil is probably the closest thing to impossible in the Final Fantasy series. I beat it in a relatively short amount of time, but it's completely dumb luck. You could spend days trying to do it without ever getting close.
I hated blitzball too but when I started playing to get Wakka's stuff, I found out how incredibly easy it is. Just recruit the right players and you'll barely be playing. I would score goals in the first few seconds with Jecht Shot or anything else, and just do that trick where you hide behind the goalie and wait it out. Playing 30 games of blitzball is incredibly tedious, but that's all it is. It's just boring, and incredibly easy.

I have no idea why the 'Master' materia from FFVII wasn't on this list. The place I choose was on the north part of the map right after you leave the resting area. Turn right where there is a split going south. After you dodge the first bolt, the second one delays...then after that its quick. then delays..then quick, and repeats so on. Once you get the pattern down its quite easy.

I personally think Excalibur 2 from FF IX is probably the hardest, I mean, you have to get to the final dungeon in 12 hours (Especially when you consider that the average playthrough, even ignoring the side-quests, is about 60+ hours)... That's ridiculously fucking hard. And you may say "It's not useful!" but I counter by saying "It's the weapon with the highest base attack in Final Fantasy as a series." Seriously, It's one of the only weapons that exceeds the base attack of 100

To make things worse, when I did it as a kid I was running the PAL version of the game. Due to the frame rate you lose about 2 hours while trying to get the Excalibur II. It took me hours a day, for almost my entire Christmas holidays to actually hit my time benchmarks so I could get to Hades in time because using PAL you almost need perfect encounter luck. In the end I threw Excalibur II at Necron out of spite.
It is possible, on the NTSC version to actually get 100% of items in FFIX though, I'm going to be working on routing for a 100% speedrun and doing exactly that soon ^_^

    • @TranceCore3
      @TranceCore3 10 років тому

actually average play through (not counting first time play throughs) is gonna be anywhere from 16-24 hours, and that's if you're ignoring sidequests. you don't need to level so much in FF9 so there's no point in wasting time on grinding. but a lot of time is spent finding missables and gearing up. so the excalibur 2 can be a bit hard for those who like to gear up their squad,

I actually got the Tournesol when I first played this game when I was 15 lol. I spent insane amount of time reading guides on forums. I loved those days when I had all the time in the world to spend on video game. Nowadays I can barely finish games nevermind completing them.

Agree with the FF12, out of all the games, that one took the most dedication and I am still missing a Pirate Den statue. The general game play of that game is great. There is just so much to do. The fact I was determined to get the Tournesol as early in the game as possible, Feywood [snake eyes] , was a great alternative to grinding. It was a mission to me, so less pointless.

Yiazmat WILL start recovering his health if you stay away long enough. I've left him with 13m hp left and went to run a few other side quests out of sheer monotony--by that point it was lather-rinse-repeat in the fight--and when I came back after a couple of hours, he was back up to 37m hp. =P

The most frustrating item to get in my opinion (though I'll settle for a tie with #1) is the Onion Knight Equipment in the NES version of Final Fantasy III. With a 4/256 (1/64) chance to just ENCOUNTER one of the color dragons (Green, Red, Yellow) on specific floors in the Crystal/Sylx Tower (dungeon before the last) and is said/rumored that they drop one of the pieces if killed in a special way (good luck determining what that is) and even then, there it is an extremely rare chance. Considering that you need 4 pieces of Onion Equipment to make it useful on one of your four characters... I tried for hours and only got 1 Onion Helmet before I gave up.

Hey DK, not sure if you know this but to get Excalibur 2 you don't need to get to Memoria in less than 12 hours, it just needs to show less than 12 hours on the in game clock. When you hit 99:59:59 the clock will reset to 00:00:00 and Excalibur 2 should be on the platform for another 12 hours. I have never tried this but if you or anyone else does please let me know if it works. Love your vids DK.

    • @ashkenyon3020
      @ashkenyon3020 9 років тому

+Kryptic Badger This is true. You can wait until the clock ticks over back to 00:00:00. Unfortunately, the first time it ticks over, the clock changes colour. The second time it ticks over, the clock changes colour again, and so on... IIRC, it would take approximately two years for the clock to actually tick back over to the first 00:00:00, and then you can pick up the sword.

Dude, your videos are interesting but you spend WAAAAY to much time in them saying absolutely NOTHING.... And a lot of the time you never even explain what it is you are suppose to be talking about, like a swear for the Crisis Core item you never even said what it was, what it did, or anything about anything. Im pretty sure all I seen was just Zack and heard some random word then it was on to the next thing! You know you should at least say the name of the item, say what the item is and what it does and then explain how to obtain the item! I was lost for almost the entire video ( at least the half of it that I did watch, I had to stop at about 14.20 because you take waaay to long with your pauses. Like you will just completely quit talking and it makes this video feel like it drags on, 24 minutes for a top 10 video that doesn't even present you with that much knowledge about the items that are included is entirely to long bro) But hey your videos are interesting, and you are going in the right direction of where they need to go, just try to stay on topic a little better and if you are going to keep pausing and not saying anything then cut it from the video so it doesn't last 24 minutes!

Sadly, it's impossible to do the Catnip & Gunner spam in the International/HD version of X-2. That's because SE nerfed Catnip so that it also puts your character in Berserk and Slow status, effectively destroying the combo. So if you're playing those particular versions, you're basically screwed cuz no more Catnip combo.

I LOVED Triple Triad!!! I spent countless hours playing that on every playthrough of the game I did just because of the insanely good Magic you could get super early on to make you OP as all Hell. Plus helping Quistis learn some Blue Magic skills as well. Anyway, I NEVER did the QoC Sidequest...I just wanted until Disc 4 & played her when she was by that crashed ship near Esthar on the World Map. It's not visible, so you just have to wander around to find it, but it's easy enough to look up a guide or video to find her. She has all the Cards from that quest with her, but she also uses like every rule in the game too. So you just need to sell off every Card you can below like Level 8 to make sure you'll always at least stand a chance, then just keep trying. Save outside of her location, then reset if you lose or she doesn't use 1 of the Cards you're missing from her. Super simple.

I love Triple Triad. And honestly as long as you have the "Open" rule (which you can manipulate to get Queen has the rule), the game become very manageable.
I'd say the hardest card game for me was against Ellone for Laguna's card. That was one hell of a game as I wasn't prepared that Lunar uses it a mix of all regions rules.
Other than that, the V2 suit from Max Angelus 0 from XV also has an insane drop rate, especially him being a super boss, you actually have to make effort (wait for his arm to open to vulnerability etc) to kill him, which is annoying as hell. As a matter of fact, I've never got the goddamn suit after 30 kills.

I tend to always get The End Garment Grid. It's actually quite worth building up the Oversouls for the Via Infinito bosses because they're actually easier to defeat Oversouled anyways. Well, maybe not the first guy, but he's also the easiest of the Via Infinito bosses anyways.
The Black Elemental only ever uses spells. However, as fast as he is, enemies always enter Oversoul status before delivering their attacks. So just spam Darkness on him, and he'll die. Concherer will pretty much die to Cat-Nipped Gunner even while Oversouled, while its attacks are far less lethal. And Chac? Shockingly enough, gets debuffed pretty badly while Oversouled. Other than her broken AF Stony Glare attack, she will never use her strongest area-based attack and will instead use Break Remedy, which does far less damage by comparison.
The only tough exception might be Paragon oversouled, and even then, one or two rounds of Cat-Nipped Gunner, and perhaps a little bit of luck, and you are done.
In fact, a lot of boss monsters are surprisingly easier Oversouled. Jumbo Cactuar will literally case Hastega and then do nothing the rest of the battle.

You get the story of a single-player experience, the ability to go on sidequests, elite monster hunts, craft gear, amazing character customization, and many of the FUN elements of an MMO without the need for internet lag, party grouping and communication, complex macro'ing, etc. I love the game, like seriously. +Miu Bunny Gotta agree with completing the espers being so f-ing hard, especially since it's not so easy to kill Zodiark w/o guides. Obtaining the Yagyu Darkblade + Masamune + Genji Equipment + Zodiac Spear/Tournesol anti-Yiazmat wombo-combo is still a lot more painful, though.
Oh, and after 5 years of play I still haven't reached Order of Ambrosia.

I used to hate the Card Queen's exclusives too: you had to either do the annoying sidequest or try to get them from her in Disc 4, which is damn near impossible with the rules she imposes.
Then I found out about Left Diamond: you can find her in the Ragnarok in Disc 4 if you completed the CC Group sidequest in the previous discs, and she will have whatever rare cards you don't have - including the Card Queen's exclusive cards and cards you've used up. She uses Trabia's rules, which include Random and Plus, but you can manipulate the RNG to abolish those rules as early as Disc 1, leaving Trabia with only the Open rule, which allows you to win easily. You can use her to obtain infinite copies of all your cards (except PuPu; this is the only card she won't have).
Thank you, Left Diamond; you're my favorite Final Fantasy VIII girl now.

FYI, you can estimate the time until you win an item with the negative binomial distribution.
    1) estimate the time for a battle/event
    2) use the negative binomial distribution to calculate the percentiles for the completion time.
monte carlo simulations in excel can be used to do a better job since 1 can vary.

Hope this helps whoever attempts 100% acquisition runs on Final Fantasy 2
(snes). I completed a legit playthrough on my SNES where I got
minimally 1 of every single rare (1/64) drop, including the pink tail
from the pink puffs. Below I detail both the strategy to get the pink tail
relatively painlessly, as well as the general strategy to obtain every
single 1/64 drop to have a complete inventory. Note that the strategy
applies only for Super Nintendo FF2, NOT any of the remakes --- the
actual true original cart with the red label).
Before attempting, to speed things up, bring about 300 ether1s. (It's
expensive, but you make your money back fighting the puffs anyway.) The
minimum you need to do things right is 99, but for each 99 you bring,
you save yourself a trip out of the dungeon and off the moon to go buy
    more.)
For pink puffs, there's no need to kill your party members first. In
fact, because the puffs hit hard and many times they berserk you before
Rydia can cast toad on the group, having just Rydia and Rosa (especially
at lower levels) can be dangerous (as they have the lowest HP).
Instead, be SURE to equip Cecil with his CRYSTAL body armor. For some
reason it makes him immune to berserk. (Ribbon helmets do NOT protect
you from being berserked, so forget about them.) Have Cecil and Rydia
alive and normal, whereas simply cast piggy on all other party members
before your puff battle from the menu screen. Piggy status makes you
immune to berserk, so by piggying Edge, Rosa, and Kain, you have tanks
that can take damage from puffs while you set up the toad strategy.
The idea is then obviously encounter enemies and run from all those that
aren't pink puff until you finally get pink puffs (you do NOT need to
be on a certain tile in the room, that's a false BS rumor. Run around
anywhere in the room, it's just luck finding a pink puff group. I found 2
    in a row once!).
Now, once in a fight - as fast as you can, cast toad on all of them with
Rydia. If it works, you're set (skip to next paragraph). However, if
they do their dance and berserk Rydia, then you need to kill Rydia by
attacking her with the rest of your party. Once she dies, revive her
(and heal her quick!) and have her cast toad, since after being killed
and revived berserk will be gone. (You cannot remove berserk with Heal
    or anything.)
--- Ok --- so now you have a bunch of stupid toads to look at. What
do you do? Attack and kill 2 of them, leaving 3 left. Heal Rosa to get
rid of her Piggy status. She should not be berserked (though if for some
reason she is, just kill her with attacks and then revive her). Then,
depending on your level, you just need to see how many attacks it takes
to kill a puff. For me, at level 99, it took only 1 attack from Cecil
(doing anywhere from 8,000 to 9,999), and then one attack from Rydia.
Regardless, the idea is to lower a Puff's health until you can kill it
in one more attack. You want to select attack to kill it, such that the
next character whose turn it is is Rosa. As your killing attack takes
place, QUICKLY select white magic with Rosa, select Life2, and cast it
on the dying puff as the puff is in the disappearing animation of dying.
Then you wait, life2 is cast, and the puff is revived at full health
and still is a toad, allowing you to just keep repeating. The reason for
keeping 3 puffs alive is that if you screw up and accidentally kill a
puff and Rosa doesn't get her turn quickly enough for Life2, you still
have 2 puffs left to keeping trying. Keep killing and reviving a puff
(as in the video above) for about 45-minutes. I wouldn't suggest any
longer, because if you get more than 8 drops, they overwrite each other
and then you're just wasting time (i.e., you might've gotten a pink
tail, and then lose it because you keep killing and get an elixir that
takes the pink tail's spot!). To give a reference, 45 minutes is the
time it takes to go through 99 ethers on Rosa. Since life2 costs 52MP,
you have to stop the kill-revive grind every so often to just use ethers
from every party member to get Rosa back to full MP before you start
again. Anyway, use 99 ethers, which assuming normal luck should get you
about 8 items to drop. Kill the puffs completely once you're ready and
then keep your fingers crossed for a pink tail!
On my third 45-minute grind with puffs, I got 2 pink tails to drop
(!!!!). (If you ever get lucky enough to get more than one pink tail,
do NOT sort your inventory. If you sort it and they combine into a
single slot (like Pink Tail: 2), you will only get 1 armor for the
group of them. Instead, leave your inventory alone and quickly go to the
adamant armor merchant and select each tail separately to get 1 armor
    for each tail.)
The Life-2 trick I believe is only Super Nintendo FF2 only, so that's
REALLY nice. (Alternatively, for people with FF4 for Playstation or GBA
or whatever, I guess there's an item called 'alarm' that automatically
spawns pink puffs for you.... but since you can't Life2 them, you just
kill 5, see what item drops, and repeat. I almost feel like that takes
LONGER, because while pink puffs don't naturally spawn often, once they
do, you can almost guarantee 8 drops using the Life-2 trick over 45
minutes. I much prefer at least getting 8 drops of something to usually
just not getting any single drop at all.)
As for all other rare (1/64) drops in the game that can ONLY be gotten
via drops (here's the list --- Imp, Bomb, Mage [these are calls for
Rydia], Glass Helmet, Artemis Bow, Dragoon Lance, Dragon Whip, Silence
Staff, Cursed Ring, Crystal Ring, Lilith Rod, Rune Axe, Medusa Sword,
then also at a thankfully easier-to-get 5/16 rate: zeus gloves,
artemis arrows), you obviously have to just grind and grind.... but
it helps to use an FAQ online to see what rooms in the game spawn the
enemy you're looking for with the highest frequency. (As for ribbon
helmet --- this is a rare 1/64 drop as well, but the game gives you 2 in
a chest.... Same applies for the Power Robe, the Heroine Robe, the
Avenger Sword... so I'm not counting them because trying to get 5 of
every rare item for the 'ultimate party' is insanity. It's just
pointless, since many of these you only can even start to grind for
right before the final boss of the game, so why spend 50 hours getting 5
pink tails that you can literally use in 1 fight before you get the
"THE END" screen. Getting 1 is enough to prove you did the grind. (Also
remember that any weapon you can just duplicate 99 of in the SNES cart
using the duplication trick, so getting 5 of an item for your whole
party only even applies to robes, rings, body armors, gloves, and
helmets. Anyway - You can check it all using these 2 FAQs:
Complete item list (to see what enemies drop what items with what
    frequency): www.gamefaqs.com/snes/522596-final-fantasy-ii/faqs/11842
Spawn locations and rates for all enemies (find the one you want on the
FAQ above, then use this one to search for where it is --- for each
room, the spawn rates are HIGHEST for the battle at the top, and are
very rare as you go down (that's why for example pink puff is the 8th in
it's room, meaning the lowest spawn rate): www.gamefaqs.com/snes/522596-final-fantasy-ii/faqs/53579
As for final tips, here's some things to note:
The following items can be gotten most quickly with the Life2 trick (at
the end of the game, so not missable):
Mage, Bomb, Medusa Sword, Artemis Arrows, Artemis Bow, Zeus Gloves,
Silence Staff, Cursed Ring [Ghost in Slyph cave], Pink Tail [duh],
    Lilith Rod, Ribbon Helmet.
The following items can be gotten most quickly by exploiting the 'call'
function of certain enemies. Each time they are attacked, they call the
enemy that drops the item into battle. You can keep killing said enemy,
attacking the caller once, and spawning a new one to fight infinitely,
speeding up the drop process a ton. Just be sure to cast cure on the
caller every so often so that you don't accidentally kill him off!
Rune Axe (fight the searcher enemy that appears alone in the Giant of
Babil sequence. This is MISSABLE because you only come here one time! If
you miss it, you need to use Life2 on the RedGiant enemy on the moon,
which is much slower of a process.)
Imp (fight the conjurer enemy in the Land of Summoned Monsters. Not
    missable like the RuneAxe caller.)
Lastly, the following items are the most pain in the a** items to get,
because the enemies that spawn them either appear alone, so you can't
use the Life2 trick on them (because once they die, the fight ends ---
you obviously need 2 or more enemies on the screen to kill one off and
then use Life2 on it), or they are undead enemies and thus Life2 fails
    on them:
Crystal Ring, Glass Helmet, Dragoon Spear, Dragon Whip, Protect Ring.
That is, for this list of 5 items above, there's no way around it. Just gotta grind and hope to get lucky! Everything drops eventually!

As a FFIV obsessive completionist for both GBA AND DS, I can really say that YES, Adamant Armour is bloody insane to try to obtain - especially when you need 4-5 pink tails.
However while it may be RNG against me, it was in fact the fairy bow (possibly light bow? Been so many years) that took me longest to get. I seem to remember pink tails being 30-40 minutes of grinding (in that room where there's only 5 but it's always them who fight), whilst it took over 20 hours of straight farming to get one of those bows. I remember thus very strongly as it was the last item I needed and I was essentially brain dead farming the mobs (some sort of female mob) days on end.
That feel of obtaining full sets of 'optimum' equipment for your whole team though...incredible.

You talk very fast, it makes it harder to understood you, slow down a bit. First of all, thanks for including Crisis Core, it's easily the most beautiful PSP game I've ever seen. Secondly, I'm not sure I understand what makes the item you mentioned from it hard to get? You have to use a specific move on a specific monster, right? And of course, you have to rely on luck to get that move, right? Doesn't seem nearly as difficult as some low drop rate items I've chased in the past, whether in FF games or any others. Thirdly, I think you contradicted yourself a bit. You mentioned that the Onion Sword was harder to get than the Adamant Armor, then you put an item necessary to get the Adamant Armor as number one. It would seem to mean that the Adamant Armor is therefore the hardest item to get.

Linna Shaami and Miyu were all I needed for Blitzball. I had Tidus learn Jecht Shot and while yes it is time consuming the best way to use it is when there’s 30 seconds left and you need one goal to win. It takes enough time off the clock to where your opponent has only 5 seconds to equalize before the game is over.
