My neighbor across the street loves to bake , but her kids are grown and gone. So she always brings us bread or whatever she bakes. 🍞
Well my neighbors don't cut their grass and they had bronchitus and I went over there and gave them a bottle of honey and they stuck their hand out of the door and grabbed the honey and slammed the door in my face. SO you must live in HEAVEN!!!!!!!!

I was tempted to go pass KFC to get some chicken but I stopped my self from that saying to myself that I have food back home. No!!! Don't go and so I didn't...I have food to last me all month and i don't need to order fast food. Like u said Dawn. I have food at home....!! 😊😊😊
My local grocery store has fantastic fried chicken. 8 pcs for $9.99. I have never been to a grocery store that had bad fried chicken. And its usually one third the price of KFC.
Me too! I may buy inexpensive fast food once every2-3 months.only. but being mothers day coming up, I refuse to cook and will order in something that I crave!!! 🤷😏💙

Because gasoline has gone up (OH, SURPRISE!), I did not mow my 3 acres today. I decided I would only mow the acreage every two weeks. I live out in the country with neighboring farmers so I don't have to deal with HOA about my lawn. Yes, the lawn looks great mowed but it is not a necessity to have it trimmed as if I lived in town. I think you did very well, Dawn, holding out on your desires. Way to go!
Better for bees and butterflies looking for flowers from the weeds. Better for the environment.❤

We’ve cut back on the mowing too. We have 5 acres… 2 1/2 of which needs mowing. But we don’t do it as often. Saving that gas

We have a 1/2 acre of weeds and wild flowers. The bees and butterflies love it. We need them for our food to pollinate. I wish people would stop spraying their lawns with toxic chemicals bad for ALL of us

I think it is fun to use things up! I have a notebook that was laying around and took inventory and like to cross off products used. My daughter went to the military. I have no idea when she will be home again. She left boxes of makeup and beauty things. If I use my stuff up then I will use hers next. Just keep track of anything I used so I can buy it back for her when she does come home. She could be gone 3.5 yrs.

I'm a lemon person and yellow person too..💛💛💛. I said no to buying up a lot of food that we will not eat on our short vacation and yes to snacks that will get ate. We got free meat from my man's sister and that was a big blessing.

I used to manage a bath and body works. We employees would buy things after the different holidays. And I got an additional 40% off of the sale price too. I had shelves of lotions and shower gels etc. lol

You'd be proud of me Dawn! Went to Walmart for groceries and left the "summer tops" on sale behind. Like..I really need more when I don't wear all that I have now. As for a free item...I wrote to a seller on Amazon that didn't send me my free gift with purchase, so they refunded my total order. That was a really unexpected and welcomed! Loving your videos and have a wonderful Mother's Day!

I wanted chick fil for lunch with fries + a drink today.....I thought... "I'm not that hungry" so I got one taco + cup of water at Taco Bell + that was just enough.
So I saved money + calories!
Also...there were 2 books at Target I was very interested in buying...but I didn't. Instead I took a picture of the covers + I'm going to check out local library. (I was running lots of errands b4 + after lunch today.)

I enjoy going out to eat once a week. For me part of that is for emotional support, It helps when I am lonely.
Alexa is wonderful, I love the grocery list function. Alexa plays music, get weather etc. I am so glad to have mine, it will even call someone, let’s say if I fall and don’t have my phone. Honestly amazing purchase.

I agree about Alexa. Instead of eating out to deter loneliness my friends goes to the Dollartree often.She has established a relationship with those clerks.
We were richly blessed this month. We were given a metal carport to keep my car under, from a neighbor who didn't want it anymore. It will definetly help protect our black leather seats from the Summer heat!! Next my husband has been looking for an older vice with no luck. A local auction had one that didn't work and no one bid on it. After the sale a friend told the auctioneer that we were looking for one. He said we could have it. My husband took 5 minutes to fix it and now he has a heavy duty vice free. So thankful for these blessings.🙏

We have the Echo dot. I don’t think that the dot costs that much but you are right. You can absolutely use your phone for reminders so an Alexa isn’t a necessity. 👏👏👏
No they don’t cost that much I just looked them up. I love having one close to the kitchen and as I am cooking and find I need to replace something, I just tell her to add it to my shopping list.
Yesterday I wanted to buy Whataburger but I know I have patties at the house so i just made my own & had a popsicle instead of that shake i wanted. I started a budget in Jan & track my expenses & am more mindful of eating out, etc. Today I finally paid off my car! 😄

I just love your kitchen timer, it looks so wonderfully vintage and it will probably outlast your phone!! Today I look at some Aldi brand Nutella because the granddaughter wanted some.
But I realized homemade would taste better and be more pure so I decided to make my own instead. Have a wonderful Mother's Day and may it include some chocolate, too!!

Thought about getting lunch, but I had cheese from Trader Joe’s so had cheese, nuts and an avocado. I always think about how much food the $10 would buy instead of spending it on fast food. My food was much better too. Better quality so satisfies me more.

I saved money by not buying a Kindle, I realized I could read books on my phone, redundant to purchase a kindle, same with Alexis, can use our phone or watch, pressured to "think" we need all this stuff~

I like the frugal Friday. Good video! I didn't go to the local discount store. I'm rotating through items I have. I always seem to be picking up soaps, I have more than enough.

I have to stay out of Bath and Body Works too. Once a year is enough! But usually I just get the cheap candles at Aldi or Walmart.

Frugal Friday? I said yes to everything my heart desired consisting of $25 worth of plants (including pity plants and one dustbin plant) plus picked up a meat fest for lunch to share with the grand-kittens while I waited for my daughter to get off work early. Together, we worked on assembling a new 3ft x 6ft x 18 in raised garden bed in her yard between some overgrown confederate roses and saving over $200 by grinding up limbs to fill it 2/3rds full. Her yardman wanted to charge $120 to haul away the brush, and it would've cost us over $90 more in soil than we had on hand. It was one of those days when it felt just as good to spend money as it did to save money.

Well Money Mom I can tell you what has really been working for me is that I put a list of my expenses and I highlight the bills because those are necessary but I add up all the other purchases that were not necessary and I leave that list sitting in front of me all day and this is really helped for me!

I bartered some of my scads of Rhubarb( they were happy for my healthy rhubarb stalks) for credit at a farm stand. I will use it if I have crop failure with some of my garden.

For starters, my most recent stuff is a Dell Inspiron 3252 desktop PC. It's not the fastest, but it was free. I also got an adult and children's Waterpik for free, along with a bunch of stuff I got using sales and coupons, like toothpaste, shampoos, conditioners, and other bath items.
In regards to what I'm not buying at this time, the main thing is eating out. My wife is a great cook, and she can make anything a restaurant can make at a fraction of the cost. And since I buy everything on sale with coupons, I spend less than $3-4 a meal for the four of us.
How is everyone else doing? Leave a reply if you agree with eating out or not eating out. Let's see how many of you do and why.

Lynn here I LOVE MAGAZINES ESPECIALLY DECORATING ONES.well most are now 14.00 soooo I stopped however I miss them so much I won even walk down that aisle when I grocery shop lol.
Libraries have monthly magazines to borrow for free 😊

Alexa is a good investment (I have google play, they work the same).
When I'm heating anything I just say 'hey google, set an alarm for x amount of minutes'... it's so easy.
Also, I often ask it the weather, be it today or tomorrow, it always answers.
I use it to add numbers together (or multiple, divide or subtract), if I'm working on my tracking sheet and don't want to punch into a calculator.
I ask it the traffic to a destination I have in mind.
I ask it to play music, I can say country, pop, etc., and it does.
It is fantastic!!
You can also listen to the radio on it...
And often I ask it how to spell different words lol
This doesn't even touch on how much you can do with it, it's fantastic to have..
...and the scores to games that i'm not watching, I could go on and on an on, as i have hahaha

What in heavens name make folks think flavoring protein powder drinks are healthy? These things are heavy in calories and i guarantee no one is measuring just a small amount of flavorings. Protein powder drinks are not that healthy ....just eat food. If you want to up your protein put a tsp or two into a cup of am coffee.
