Oh, Dawn! You just gave me the biggest chuckle! You picked up that toilet seat riser just as you were saying "broken neck" and my immediate thought was, "That's the strangest neck brace I've ever seen!" Sorry, I'm not making light of your broken neck. I'm so glad you recovered!
he he
I thought that too when Dawn picked up that toilet seat before she explained about it! 😂😂
I won't have Alexa or any such device in my house. It is listening to you. Don't want one. Love you, money mom. Have a blessed day 🌞
Me neither. 😮
If you commented on this with your cell phone, you are already being listened to. If you used a laptop, make sure the camera is blocked off, for the same reason. My elderly dad had someone spying on him thru his laptop camera. I have had mine covered ever since.
It must think I am a littte silly
@@karendjohn8803 I keep a mini bandaid over the camera
My husband never wanted Alexa or any similar device in our house for that same reason.
great content, I need my Mr Coffee pot, no whistles bells just brews great coffee and my dollar tree calendar/planners, keeps my organized and sane:)
Toilet paper. My mom shopped every 2weeks and if we ran out of anything, we made do until next payday. I grew up with newsprint on my bottom. Once I was on my own, I’ve NEVER run out of toilet paper. 😊
We would run out of things when I was a kid. And we made due till dad got paid (once a month) but mom had about a 6 month supply of TP. 😀
😄😄😄 My grandfather's house didn't have running water. We used an outhouse.
I’m laughing about newspaper print. In 2020 I had toilet paper backup for a year and I supplied it to 4 neighbors. Then later months down the road brought me new rolls to replenish my stockpile. It was a learning experience.
Transporting in supplies was hard on each state. People used catalog pages or phone book pages also as toilet paper during WWI and WWII.
We use 2 bathrooms, about a roll each 5 weeks. 52 weeks a year is over 100 rolls I need as backup.
And oddly I sensed in summer 2019 to buy it. Good thing I did.
Because in today’s world, we don’t buy newspapers anymore!
For gardening, I have a teeny tiny plastic stool from the dollar store. I sit on it for pulling weeds or picking beans, etc. It is so helpful!
Old yoga mats make great kneeling pads. I am a tub woman, and with the new knees, a 10" strip of yoga mat is waterproof and allows me to get in and out of the tub without any knee pain. * I bought a box (120 count) of 1 cup microwaveable (I never microwave in them) deli containers with lids, that I use to freeze my cooked food. The deli containers paid for themselves very quickly. They are durable, I can reuse them many, many times, they fit into the fridge freezer well, and have built-in portion control! * Two last items I use with pleasure, every single day, a Japanese fish knife as a paring/food prep knife (3 for $8 on Amazon), and a very small ceramic knife sharpener. For very little money, those two items made prepping veggies and meat a real pleasure. I have German Wusthoff knives that do not cut as well as my little Japanese fish knives. True!
Super tip! I did projects in the garage on the floor and used a cut up piece of yoga mat. Removed the middle console in my minivan and put a piece of yoga mat down to protect the carpet against spills/debris.
Thank you for telling me
What brand are the fish knives? I've looked and can't find them.
I use old yoga mats under the removable seats of my sectional. Before that, they kept sliding out of place both because the fabric is velvet-y and because.... 3 boys. I even bought a special mat from ikea for that pupose and it didnt work. Yoga mats saved my sanity.
Great list. I keep a back scratcher at work in my cubby. I guess my list would be: good food options in my house, coffee, perfume, lotion, make up, crafting supplies, cozy throw blankets. Things like that.
I’m not bothered about Alexa if she is listening in my house. She would probably go to sleep from boredom at the peaceful quiet life I lead. Sending best wishes from UK.
I use the kneeling thing by my bed for praying really helps on my knees
Dawn, if that toilet riser is helping you, consider getting a taller toilet. We did awhile back. My only regret is that we didn’t do it sooner.
If and when your toilet needs replacing, get the taller toilet. I have one in my downstairs powder room. They are great!
They are called "Comfort Height Toilets," they are worth having indeed.
Mes you wonder how those people in other countries use those toilets on the floor.
I will never part with my crockpot. I use it a lot, especially in the summer. have a reach-and-grab tool I use to pick up some items that have fallen on the floor or behind furniture. I also splurged on a Luxury pillow and my neck no longer hurts in the morning.
Sounds great! I love the pillow idea
I have 4 dogs. As they go over the rainbow bridge, I will not get any more (we had 8, 6 in the house) but I will most likely always have at least 1 doggo. Love my doggies. So I can’t live without at least one !
Can’t live without all my good garden tools that have made gardening easier ! And I won’t give up my makeup. I don’t wear a lot, but I feel more confident in public with a little something on. Lol. I think I look tired without it.
I love animals
I leave my backscratcher on my night stand. Thanks Dawn Enjoy Your Day Everyone ❤
love you
Mine is beside my night stand, too!
I use the wall to scratch my back 😂
My husband does that. Along the corners. 😅
Or doorways 🤣😄 that's my hubs 😄
When we were kids, my sister and I kept asking my mom to scratch our backs one afternoon. After a couple of times, my mom said she would show us how to be like bears in the woods and showed us how to use the corner of a wall. We had fun being bears, and my mom went back to her housework.
Love the contact list! I have this on my cell phone. But do like the paper idea also. I need to update the family friends list to add to my Will information.
1. Crockpot. I have three. Batch cook in them monthly
2. Lock n’ Lock storage containers in various sizes and colors. Stores food and dog treats.
3. Sewing machine: do clothing repairs and make curtains and pillow shams/quilts other household items. I buy used throw pillows at Thrift stores for $1. Take off old covers. Recover the inner pillow to freshen it up. Then add a home-sewn pillow cover for my decor or to make holiday gifts. Make cloth napkins and table top covers, many things. It’s a fun hobby!
Stalwart
Love it!
There are so many things you can do if you can use a sewing machine!
@@3TXSisters Yes! I quilt and love to do hand embroidery during the winter months. And I go to thrift stores, yard sales in Warmer months to search for fabrics, button collections, old lace yardage.
Old tablecloths can be used to make unique jackets! Similar to denim jackets or longer styles.
High schools don’t teach these skills too often now. I learned from my grandmother, born in 1886 Oklahoma territory. She could make things without a pattern! But I started with a pattern. Then took sewing classes. I am age 75 and still enjoy taking a quilting class. Can teach it. But prefer to learn from others and it is a refreshing community activity!
@Stalwart-zy3oo My mother made a lot of our clothes. She never used a pattern. I'd show her something in a magazine and say like this but with these sleeves. I was spoiled by her being able to tailor everything, too. She's 92 and unable to sew now. It irritates her to take things to be altered. I took sewing in high school because I needed another elective. It was incredibly frustrating to me. I loved my teacher, but she said maybe I could use another study hall, lol. I learned smocking and embroidery from my mother, but I never could use a machine.
I dont want to live without my glasses that I can adjust as my vision changes
The thick toilet seat does work. But if it's long-term, explore buying a "tall height" toilet. My wife's health made our low 14.5" toilets from 1968 hard to use. So we replaced those with 19" toilets from American Standard. There's an in-between, too, called "comfort height".
I agree! I have hip and knee issues and these higher toilet seats help SO much! When I have to use a public restroom, I feel as though I might fall in. Ugh.
My list:
^ high quality shoes and a lot of flip flops
^ coated cast iron pots for cooking soups + lots of cutting boards and measuring cups/nesting cups. + a good knife or two
^ an adjustable bed + buckwheat pillow
^ chapsticks
^ my favorite pens and lots of notebooks
^ Turkish bath towels. I was leery since they are so thin but they are 1000x better. I will never go back. And they take less space
^ an extra freezer
🔹We live out of our Instant Pot. Whole grain barley done in 23 minutes. Dry beans are done in 35 minutes. We eat a ton of beans and barley.
🔹Love a back scratcher; so do the cats.
🔹Grabbers are in every room, we're disabled.
🔹We use the slow cooker only for baked potatoes and sweet potatoes; put washed potatoes in and cook on high 2-5 hours depending on size.
🔹Generic sensitive wipes, add white cleaning vinegar to wet them, use them to wipe down greasy kitchen areas: stove after cooking, fridge handles, wipe out sink.
🔹Swiffer dust pads and wet mop pads makes floor cleaning fast... we'll also use a microfiber 12 inch cloth to put on the Swiffer and spray the cloth with a spray bottle of water and an ounce or two of vinegar most of the time.
I adore your list
Thanks for the shout-out Money Mom! Love the items *you* can't live without!
You are so welcome! I love your channel
I'm going to keep a little measuring tape in my pocketbook. So helpful! I have the same backscratcher as you - one upstairs & one down. Use them daily!! I also keep my "service" list hanging on the fridge. A necessity! Friends are listed on a paper in a drawer. Also helpful when putting contacts in new phone. I have a Dirt Devil electric broom. Love it :)
Wouldn't want to live without my computer! I'm going to make a list like yours of important phone numbers.
I don't think I could live without my garlic press. I have arthritis and it's so much easier to press the garlic vs chop it fine. Also, pressing it causes more cell damage vs chopping so you wind up using a bit less.
I think living without my patio herb garden would be rough. I've got 10 large pots right outside the door that help keep meals interesting.
And honestly, I'd be lost without my earbuds. Audio books, videos, podcasts, music. I'm always listening to something as I go about my day. I keep my phone in a little cooler in the shade which prevents overheating
Shark vacs are the best! I use mine in every part of the house and am amazed at how much dust/dirt it picks up. No bags to change, either.
Oh yeah I forgot my cordless Shark. It is so nice to not have to deal with the cords and the weight of the larger regular vacuums. We have the regular Shark that is heavy and my husband uses that one, it's just too heavy for me.
Hi Dawn ! Please do a part two. I love my self-draining spaghetti pot. Grabbers are great. Did you know the tip is a magnet, so if you need to retrieve a paperclip or earring it easily does that job. Have a lovely day !! ❤
Oh wow
The style of grabber that Dawn shows does come with a magnet in the tip.
Gotta go check mine to see if a magnet?
@@misst1586 All of the ones that have that type of metal shaft do. Great for picking up all my dropped paperclips and sewing pins. 😁
Great video! PS ... I love Silver and Solo too!
She is so lovely
Haha..we are so much alike in some respects😊. I totally agree on backscratcher, grabber, Shark, and tall toilet seat! The only thing I will add to that is in place of the Crock-Pot I absolutely cannot do without my ninja! It is Crock-Pot / air fryer / oven / frying pan and so much more! Plus I don't have to turn on the oven during the summer in the humid south!!
Right?! I so agree
I love the grabbers. I have several. Dollar Tree 1.25. I also have the insulated tote. It's great for quick trips to Aldi. No need to mess around with the carts. Just put everything in the tote.
My must haves: Kitchen shears/scissors. You need several cuz one or two is always in the dishwasher. Ditto for the ground beef masher tool. Both at DT for 1.25. Cast iron skillet with the short double handles on each side. I use that daily. You only need to buy the skillet. Lids from other pans will fit it.
There are so many useful items
just a funny for you. my hubby had hip replacement surgery last fall. he is 6'2. we needed to get him a toilet seat riser. lol my mom and i are really short.. we couldn't get up on the toilet seat riser.. hahaha hahaha so we had to take it off and my hubby puts it on if he needs it. hahaha hahaha we still laugh about it. my mom is 4"8 . my goodness what a funny thing to find out.
We’re all between 5’5” and 6 ‘
So thankfully, no toilet adjustments. Hey, maybe somebody should come up with a toilet adjuster. Like the seats in our cars. 😳😀👍🏻😂
Oh wow. I hope hubby is doing well
I could not live without my Dutch oven. I use it all the time . 😀
I recently found the silver and solo channel, too!
I can not live without my clothesline during the warm months in upstate New York. Free drying and fabulous fresh smell.
Ditto
I think these are great great things...especially the measuring tape and the knee protector s!! Love your hair!
I love Jen’s channel. I clicked on her video because of the channel name too.
I have the same insulated bag as you do and it works so well. I use it when I do food deliveries. At last 50 people have asked me where I got that bag. Costco should pay me commissions 😂
That is awesome!
When we built our home, we put in taller toilets. No kids in our family that live here so that was an easy decision. Hate those little squatty potties. Lol.
Yep Dawn, we have 4 of those head strap lamps. Hands free. And we lost power when we had friends over with their 18 month old daughter. We put one of those light bands around her waist and we could see where she was and she could see where she was going. Lol.
I have 4 dogs. I cannot live without a pooper scooper. No bending over to pick up doggie doo. Lol.
... Smart idea of using a light band around the waist of a little one.. ha
When power goes out, fill a gallon plastic jug with water, strap the headlight on and turn the light inward to the water. The whole jug lights up and provides enough light for a small room such as a bathroom. Or as a night light if the 18 month old is afraid of the dark.
Yes I found silver & solo a few weeks ago! I ❤️ her also! Refreshing’
It really is! I adore her
I love that you update your list , that's one thing I need to work on. I love my big tumbler , it reminds me to drink my water.
wonderful
Me, too! ❤
My air fryetr was lifechanging ..ive just discovered single and solo by chance and love it too !
Great share, Dawn. I don't have most of those things, except you know I have a slow cooker. I use that often.
I do too
Living in Texas I also LOVE those big thermal bags! I use them all the time in the summer when I grocery shop keep my eggs, cheese, ect. cold till I get home. Glad I'm not only one with important numbers on the fridge! (Guess showing our age before 911 days 😂). I'm in an apartment but have office number and NON emergency number for fire, police, as well as doctor pharmacy, and vet.😊
👏Applause for the non emergency police, fire and pharmacy.
I can't do without my fuzzy throws. I use them constantly, and one thing I do with them is stuff a pillowcase with one. Then I take another pillowcase and put it on to cover the opening so the throw won't slide out. I have a short neck, and also what they call a "military neck." At a young age I got thrown into the windshield of a car that braked hard, and I was in the front seat. The result is a neck bone that leans forward without a bend in it. This become an issue later in life, and pillows are the worst for being able to mold them to support my neck. So the throw-filled pillowcase makes a totally shapeable, squishy pillow that I can mold to my head/neck. This method can also work for anyone who is bedbound and needs soft support around bed sores, broken bones or burns. They also work well if you have sensitive ears, (I do) because you can make indentations in the pillow for your ear to rest in without pressure. Different throws give different results, so experiment. I have had the best sleep ever since doing this.
Another thing I cannot do without is my pillow toppers for my bed. Not the pillow toppers you can buy, but REAL pillows. I lay down a thin foam pad, then cover it with a layer of pillows, as the pad keeps them from sliding too badly. Then I use a fitted sheet over them, which also helps keep them in place. I have painful muscles, and my mattress is too firm. I could buy another mattress, for sure, but this works very well. It provides deep, soft contact on my body, so the pressure is very much lessened. About every year or two the pillows might need replacing, depending on how flat they get. There is NOTHING that feels better than lying on real pillows!
That sounds like a great list
What exactly is a fuzzy throw?
@@sjbutler2330 You know what a throw is, right? It's a small blanket that will just about cover one person, for the small size. Well, they make them out of a variety of fabrics and textures, including a fake fur fabric that are very fuzzy and soft, often with a wonderful soft fake fur on one side or both, or sometimes another fabric on the other side. I love them for naps, for chair throws, for throws for couches, etc.
We have tons of fuzzy blankets. I love them and my dog REALLY loves them. Often times he's using several at a time for maximum fluff! Our favorite is the Cuddle Duds brand. I've gotten other blankets but he reallllly loves these particular ones.. They are my favorite too, if I can get one after he's laid claim. :)
You and I agree on that backscratcher, Dawn. In fact, I have 2 of them...one in my living room and I keep one in my suitcase for when I travel. I could give up a lot of things, but never that backscratcher!
Shark Vacuum.. ✔
Crock Pot... ✔
Grabber... ✔
Head Lamp... ✔.
Grocery cooler bag... ✔
Kneeling pad... ✔
Phone list and contacts... ✔ (son has a copy also)
All must haves, making life a little easier. ❤
ah yes
Love your list-mentality. Can't live without lists, can we?
I will have to get one of those back scratchers. Never had one but have an itchy back lately and used a dinner fork as I couldn't reach it (yes, washed it after...)
I've done the same thing when I was cooking and couldn't get the back scratcher.
I don’t have a backscratcher but what I do have is a long body brush. The kind you would use in the shower. I dry rub my back with it before I get in the shower. I imagine it is doing a better job of exfoliating and my back is less itchy. I’m ever giving that up❤. Fans. I’m never living without fans. For the noise and the air movement. Summer, winter, fall, spring. ☮️
Yes fans for white noise and air flow. Sooo nice! I use them even in winter.
I feel like it's awful to say, but my cell phone, it replaced my landline, computer and tv
I have an egg steamer i just can't live without. It is so simple to steam the eggs with no pan on the stove and a timer. They turn out perfect every time.
thanks for sharing, we had a shark, I use a thick towel for gardening, I also like to make popcorn from scratch, I just put oil in a pan and that's a healthy snack.
Hi thank you 😊
You’re welcome 😊
I have afew of those items, thank you for sharing ❤
You are so welcome!
Thank you. I have a shark and love mine too. Take care
Thanks, you too!
❤
I recently subscribed to Silver and Solo too. UA-cam probably suggested it when I was watching you. LOL.
Wonderful
I purchased a $500 Vitamix for $250 brand new on Amazon in December 2023. I drink a 60 ounce healthy smoothie 6 days a week made with 14 fresh fruits and vegetables made from scratch. No powdered mixes. I plan to live forever -:)
wonderful
WOW. Please start a channel! You sound awesome! And I'd love to hear more from you. P.S. I subscribed just in case you do start making videos, I seriously do want to see your smoothie recipes. And you have the right attitude in re: live forever. 💪
At that rate you just might. That sounds amazing!
We have the same vacuum. Love it!!
Same here
Practical advice! Thanks for sharing :-)
Glad it was helpful!
I have several things I can’t live without! I have an instant pot and am totally intimidated by it!
I have never had one
Dawn, I love this! ❤ I had to chuckle throughout your video because I use so many of these things every day. I have a Kohler elevated toilet seat that is permanently installed just like a regular seat, only thicker. We also have Alexa. I can't live without my grabbers and also my wooden backscratcher. Lol!!! I also can't live without my cordless Dyson vacuum. It's lightweight and I can carry it anywhere in the house or even to sweep the mat on my front porch.
Love it!!
I love my back scratcher. Can't live without crockpot, electric skillet and coffee pot! 😊
I’ve seen people take those grabbers to the grocery store to reach items off the top shelves. I treat myself to pedicures during the summer months.
That's a great idea!
At the dollar store there's a section where they have the back scratchers and I just went last week and grabbed the last back scratcher and used it to get the paper towels off the top shelf. Near the back.
I have the knee pads, a grabber and back scratchers especially in my car.
😂 we fight over the back scratcher in our house.
Have you done a video on making yogurt in your crock pot ? I have heard alot about crock pot yogurt.
Dollar tree has some back scratches that are so cool.
Yes, I made a video on that a long time ago
On your vacuum there is more filters than you think I didn’t know till my daughter showed me
wow
I go for a pedicure regularly as l can’t cut my nails anymore myself it is half the price of a podiatrist ❤❤❤
I love pedicures
I have many Similiar items but would add my microwave and my bidet.
The bidet sounds great
Great list. I still don't use my crockpot that much, but love it when I need it. I don't have a grabber but could use one. The biggest thing I can't do without is my tablet. I watch UA-cam on it, read books with my libby app and the Barnes and Nobel app, read my email, and watch some mysteries on it. Thank you for sharing your list! Love to all, Linda 💕
The tablet sounds great
@@CentsibleLivingWithMoneyMom I love it!
No Alexa for me.
Add in my toaster oven.
My smart phone which i use for casting to tv
Clothesline
Also my electric kettle!
Thankyou for this video, Interesting, I just redid my list of plummet ect… I had such a mess bits of papers with so many numbers, so decided to put them all on one sheet. One thing I can’t do without is my battery operated lawn mower, I used to struggle with a gas one .. this is so much easier. I also follow Silver and Solo, she is great and very practical. Take care.😊
Glad it was helpful!
I can’t live without my iPad.
@@silentnot4812 I am disabled now, I don’t drive any longer, I had retired from a school bus driver about a year before my heart attack. I’m on oxygen 24/7, can’t cook, clean, craft read bills. So if not for the iPad I would go nuts. I don’t talk on the phone anymore as I don’t think fast enough to ask questions. It makes me wonder what the Lord wants me to do. I died on the operating table. So he wants me does want me to something.
Me, too!
Greetings from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I really enjoy your vlogs.
I,as well have started to follow Jen.
Has been several months now, you are both inspiring.
Thank you
That is awesome! Greetings to you too.
I absolutely love your videos. You are so real
Glad you like them!
Love the backscratcher
Great list ,your hair looks lovely❤xx
Thanks much
Money mom dawn I luv certain items such as Skechers Scotts toilet paper Dunkin coffee dove soap luv your video. Pa 🌼🌹🌷🌸🌻💫🌟✨
Thank you much
I'd like a foot spa but they aren't recommended for diabetics (which I am)
I did not know that
That's interesting. I wonder why.
I'm the same. I use a collapsible dish pan in the bathtub with a rough washcloth. There's a tub bench in there. I sit and use my feet to rub against the washcloth in comfortable hot water. As the water cools I'll refill it with hot water. My feet feel invigorated and clean. You can also use a long handle body scrub brush.
Oh my goodness!! I broke my neck in October of 2016!
oh no
I bought a multipack of those head flashlights at Costco, so I could read better, but I don’t know where they are anymore. I have that back s ratchet. Hey they have those grabbers on sale at $tree right now for 2.25. I bought several in case they stop selling them.
You should have picked up the bag with the grabber, lol. Already a member of silver and solo because I am silver and solo.
I adore you
@@CentsibleLivingWithMoneyMom I am not the not the content creator, I am just silver haired and solo, lol.
My list would include my Ipad, air fryer, my cell phone, I love to paint (acrylic) so my paint supplies, and Alexa to name a few. I use these things every day.
I love my instant pot, toaster oven(hardly use the oven)!
I was just telling my sister that I need to get one of those grabbers for her and myself bc I'm short and my sister has problems with her hands sometimes
You will love it
I like the contact list. I am going to make a paper one to include all repair people, service people, friends and doctors for myself and my spouse.
Good idea
I love to listen to you. You make my day better.🎉
I am so glad
I love my heating pad for my back, my keurig coffee machine. My large air fryer, my I pad, I also have 3 reachers, two back scratchers. I also love watching favorite movies and shows, so I guess my tv!
That sounds wonderful
good list. I forgot to add heated rice packs to my list.
get a tall toilet and skip the middleman...lol
Have you done this yet? Everyone should have at least one person in their phone listed under the last name emergency contact. I have my daughter listed that way because she has the medical power of attorney on me. If I am taken in the hospital unconscious, they only need to press siri and say call emergency contact when the phone is locked and it will call her. There is a way to set up multiple people if you follow the directions in your settings section under SOS emergency which gives you the option of sharing medical information as well. I might give it allergies and blood type but I am unsure of my comfort in the rest of the information being available with just 5 clicks. The advantage of the SOS emergency is it does not require you to speak
Great idea
That is such a good idea!
I did this directly upon reading your comment. Added my allergies in the notes section. You say they can they get into this info if you have password protection on your phone by pressing Siri? Thank you.
@@mysticmeadowshomestead6209 Upon my doing some further reading I found that you will press the top button 5 times fast in succession. I just tried it and it starts a countdown plus a beeping sound if you don't cancel it. I don't have my SOS set up but it says that your iphone will call emergency services at the end of the countdown and forward all your medical information to responders. I guess that would be 911. From further reading, it looks like only the emergency responders will have access to your information as it forwards it to them when you when you don't cancel the alarm from what I understand. Emergency SOS will also contact anyone you have listed in the SOS with a message notifying them that you have set off your SOS alert and it will include your current location. That is according to iphone itself. I don't know how many people know about the SOS portion or even use it. Now that I have read more about it, I may go ahead and set it up given that the only person getting access to the information is emergency responders, and whomever steals my iphone and breaks the passwrod.
I have my daughter's last name listed as "emergency contact" (instead of her proper last name) in my contacts list. I have her first and last name set up as her first name. So when I press Siri I can just say "call emergency contact" and it will call her. That feature does not require anyone to have your password. Anyone can press siri and tell it to call mom and it will call mom without you being logged in if you have her listed as "mom" anywhere in her name on contact list.
@@mysticmeadowshomestead6209 I replied to this message but it all went away. I will do a shorter answer now. The SOS allergy and contacts goes straight to emergency responders when you press your on button on the top (or side depending on model) 5 times in quick succession. Do know that an alarm will go off on your phone with a countdown should you want to test it. At the end of the countdown, your information including locations is sent directly to the emergency responders (911?) and at the same time, whomever you have listed as a contact in the SOS section will be alerted that you have sent off an SOS alarm for help and it will give your location to that contact as well.
In regular old contacts list I have my daughter first and last name listed under the heading of "first name" and then where I should type her last name, I have the phrase "emergency contact." If I press siri and say emergency contact (or if anyone else does) it will call her without using my passcode. The same way it will call your mom if you have "mom" listed as part of her name in contacts. You do not need a passcode to access siri or to call someone if you know the way they are listed. Does all that make sense? I did not know fully how the SOS worked until I checked it out for you. I hope that helps. Your info in SOS is not available without a call to emergency responders- only they will see it.
Hi Money Mom! Love this topic and I would love if you would do a part II on this topic. Thanks for sharing about the Shark vacuum. I am in need of a vacuum sweeper and will look into this brand. Great idea about having a contact list in case of an emergency. Insulated bag what a great idea to gift someone. GREAT VIDEO! Thanks for sharing and take good care!
You got it! Thanks much
Whatever brand you decide on - Go Cordless! It would be hard to overstate how handy, useful, lightweight, convenient, and wonderful Cordless vacuums really are. No wonder that corded vacuums can now be bought brand new for about $15 now, no one wants one ever again.
