    Looks fun.

    Rapid fire does slightly more damage over time, same damage fall off/range, less PD draw, and less thermal load as overcharged. Might be a better alternative? Just will run out of ammo quicker.

      I like the idea. However, got another combat vid, a VERY special one and there are modifications. This special one is gonna have a spoiler Short as well as just too excited. Any future engineering will not happen for a week as the new system due.

    I wonder if a low emissions power plant would help with the heat? (it definitely would but not sure if it would make a spectacular difference) it would definitely make your thermal vent beam much better at dissipating heat. Could also try a weapon focused PD as the larger the capacity the better it is at managing heat (it really helped with Gauss when i was fighting thargoids) also the synthesis of heat sinks use really cheap materials so you could use more during battles plus they also extend the weapon capacitor so you could divert some more power to ENG or SYS to help boosting and shield strength. It will be much easier to test builds when the new update comes so looking forward to more of these videos. o7 CMDR

      @bokatan9642 thanks, yeah, there are quite a few tweaks I have planned once the Engineering rebalanced hits! Good ideas there, I'm always learning.

    I found even one incendiary MC to be too hot for the Python Mk 2. I've gone with two OC/screening shell pacifiers, one OC/AL MC, one OC/corrosive MC, and two rapid fire pulses, one with phasing sequence, the other with thermal shock. This does well in basically all situations and doesn't cause the PD to run dry or the ship to overheat.

      But thank you for trying it out. I did wonder how such a build would fare. I was constantly having to repair myself before I ran out of ammo.

    Incendiary on NPCs? I thought they were largely unaffected by heat, and that's more of a pvp thing?

    • @CMDR_CWolfxUK
      @CMDR_CWolfxUK  2 місяці тому

      It rips the shields up. Without it takes a lot, lot longer the take them down.
      What affects players also affects NPCs.

    @powerline4564 Місяць тому +3

    Sort of pointless to run that much incendiary for pve, npcs barely have shields, especially in a haz res. You're better off with something like auto loader along with one corrosive (sort of a must for most pve builds)
    I'd probably run rapid fire large if I had to run multis and then medium rails. But pacifier / medium rails is still gonna be the most effective for pretty every encounter. Plasma / Cannon or Pacifier / Plasma combos are a good option also.
    This ship isn't the best for these sustained damage builds because it has a lot of big hardpoints and only a c6 distro

    why use gimballed multi and not fixed , mk2 not nimble enough?

    • @CMDR_CWolfxUK
      @CMDR_CWolfxUK  3 місяці тому

      It's nimble enough. Using a controller at the moment instead of my Hotas - fixed and controller are a terrible combination for me!

      @Phenom3082 100%, fixed is a big boost in damage. I can with Hotas but with controller the DPS loss is greater than the gain. If you can hit consistently with fixed - do it!
