incorrect: thermal conduit starts working from 90%, adding additional 1% of damage up to 150%. From what I've been told still, no one uses thermal conduit because it's broken now just like when you attack a wing of 3 wanted ships, the wingmates 90% of the time don't fire back unless the middle ship blows up. Thermal conduit is the most common experimental for pa and the way to deal damage with pa. It has nothing close to the description you commented. Instead of "being told" to not confuse other players with invalid info - better check it yourself if you don't wanna believe a content maker who tries to share knowledge

all efficient pa produce not enough heat to reach tc proc level and Mandalay is able to dissipate the heat enough before the next shot. There is nothing broken here at it has nothing related to people who started playing it since first release cause during release there was *no tc* at all: engineers were added to the game much later
you have a good taste :] Salvation's charger shot is very fast.. even while both weps requires to shoot close. With gimballed mcs it might works but class 5 distro..
well not bad for a long-range fighter, 41LY is great if you don't want to move your FC all the time to do some bounty hunt or any combat.. actually I like it.
@@Alswulf maybe long range pa's instead of efficient (because of this ship insane heat handling) Or go absolutely nuts and go with 6 rails or 4 rails with 2 mcs (prefferably plasma slug for less heat)

Perhaps 2 rails with some MCs combination should work ok, like CG rails with double ammo cap. But if you really wanna use more rails or pas - you should try to use heatsinks during aggressive maneuvers (deploying heat sink transfering heat into weapon capacitor)

@@Alswulf Disable all modules except one hot weapon (SRB PA/rail for example) and a heatsink. Pop the heatsink to get ship's heat to 0%. Fire one round of weapon. Observe heat % increase. Heat cap then is (roughly) thermal load of weapon divided by heat % of ship after firing. HC = 100 * TL / H_p (H_p = heat in percent, TL = thermal load, HC = heat capacity) Would love to see the result. EDIT: Forgot to add factor of 100 since we need to convert percent value into absolute value.

not at all: shielded targed has bigger hitbox and keeping in mind that I have 2 CG phasing multicannons (which have bullets spread) - the hull already was at 70%. And then - corrosive ram helped more than all mcs :D
it does matter. Check the very first seconds of the mc-test - shields were fading quite fast. Mostly cause more bullets were applied on the target cause it has bigger box

those npcs were engineered (mission threat 6) and these tests were made when the ship wasn't released on public server. There was no way to test it onto "non-npc"
Agree 100% you can annihilate ANY npc ship within 1 min, and you shouldn't lose your canopy in doing so, and yet we still saw his life support kick in, no offence, but its true 😜😁
I love how this ship isn't meant for combat (according to the devs) and yet it looks like a monstrous fighter jet 😂

From what I've been told, thermal conduit, you need to be above 150% heat to effectively get more damage output. You were below 100% heat.

in that case you might negate your maneuverings much due to inability to boost often. Mandalay boost feels cheap though.
