Morning Dave. When I just had my Interceptor, I was happy. Couldn’t ever see myself selling it, but then bought Clementine, my Classic 350, and found myself riding it more than the Interceptor. So much so, that I did indeed sell the Interceptor 😳. Now Clementine takes me anywhere and everywhere, up steep inclines, down nadgery lanes, even on duel carriageways. She fits perfectly in our van, and goes on holidays with us, all over the country. She might not be the fastest thing on two wheels, but that isn’t the point. Nice vid.

Yes Ian you are rightfully bonded with Clementine…..like you I always defaulted to the Classic even with the Interceptor there….addictive riding carefree simplicity 👍🏻

Last spring I rode the Interceptor and loved it, then i tried the GoldStar there was something about that big thumpers character and looks that won me over and I bought one. The 350 i never bothered to look at because i just thought it was too lacking in power. It's looks i like very much but i just thought the GoldStar had more to offer.

I only joined your channel last year and in no small part thanks to you I’ve just put down a deposit on a new Bullet 350. I decided to go for the black and chrome model and I hopefully pick it up the last weekend in March. I’d never previously considered a Royal Enfield or indeed a retro classic but you’ve opened my eyes to another side of motorcycling for which I thank you.

Apart from the lovely styling of the classic 350, which I totally appreciate, there is something strangely appealing and captivating about the perceived frugality and simplicity of a 350 single. A very nice overview; thanks mate.

Quite simply the perfect bike for me, the first bike in 56 years of riding that I am not thinking, what shall I get next. In April 2022 I purchased the Classic 350 in Halcyon Green the perfect colour, this bike is all I have ever wanted in a bike and great fun to ride. Relaxing, every ride is a pleasure, even speed restrictions on this bike do not matter. Until you have ridden this 20 hp motor you do not know what you are missing.
Only yesterday I met up with my mates riding from Basingstoke to Reading then back after our meet up, I could have gone in my car but never gave it a second thought to not use my Classic, even in the freezing conditions the bike was a pleasure. 😊

The 350s are amazing. I live in the peak district and pottering around the lanes and hill tops on this would be a dream.

Wow! I was really surprised with the way this went and for all the right reasons. I have a Super Meteor and like it alot, but I agree completely with your choice of the Classic 350. I don't have one, but have done test rides and the thing I came away with was that it just made you not want to go any faster. It sounded great and looks wonderful. If I were looking for another bike it would be the one I would go looking for.

Every now and then a bike comes along that is greater than its sum of parts and the classic 350 is one of them just to look at and listen to that thump is pleasurable in itself. It’s the kinda of bike you just want to get out on 😊

Great video - there’s no harm going back ! I was in exactly the same spot you’re in recently having sold my 350 to get an Interceptor thinking I needed more power; however after a year on the Interceptor it just wasn’t doing it for me, so much to the dismay of my wife and friends traded the Interceptor for another 350 and couldn’t be happier…I now ride it with a greater appreciation for what it is …a magical combination that gives ultimate satisfaction….go back lad ! Just watched for the first 5 mins and will continue in a sec. Just felt it necessary to say... love your style of riding. You should to ride out and give comments on road safety and you would be a winner with me. Looking that the roads you were on in the N.E I believe and at the speed that you were doing you are riding like a classic rider. Safer than most advanced riders and instructors that make videos of themselves tear arsing about our beautiful country roads and thus catching up and having to overtake just about whatever was in their way.
I must say that you are my style of rider and if ever you a come over towards the Fylde coast I for one would be pleased to ride with you. We have some great roads over here as well.
Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.

The 350 classic is the perfect bike Dave , its looks, its brilliant thump along all day climb up anything engine, and the sound of it as well!
The comfort and manageability of it on any terrain, due to it's reasonably light weight and tractability ,
I had an Interceptor for three years and 10,000 miles, I enjoyed it, but I enjoy my Classic so much more there just feels more of a connection with it ,

If only motorcycle manufacturers could actually formulate that "thing" that triggers the emotional response but sadly it is like trying to hold fog. The marketing departments spend fortunes trying to provoke us into an emotional response but just occasionally designers stumble upon the magic formula but then just as quickly they often lose it when trying to hold it in their next design. The Interceptor hit it for me and very nearly got me had it not been for Triumph that, for me, had the edge on quality and that other indefinable quality that makes it feel special.

Just before Christmas I bought a classic 350 after previously having a himalayan (which I loved) the weather hasn't been too kind so I've only done a couple of hundred miles, but already I love this bike, I agree 20bhp is poor and it isn't the quickest thing in the traffic light grand prix... but that doesn't matter, it handles superbly and will sit at 50/60 mph all day... back road speeds... I'm really looking forward to the spring and some longer runs out...

Iyov 36:5 - Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)
See, El is Kabir, and despiseth, not any; He is Kabir in ko’ach lev (strength of understanding).

In all Bible translations, the word Kabir has been translated as "Mighty" or "Great" whereas Kabir is the original name of Supreme God.
Conclusion: This verse of the Bible proves that Kabir is Complete God. The one who worships God Kabir by taking initiation from the complete saint sent by him gets complete salvation. After attaining salvation that souls rest in peace in the eternal abode Satlok forever. The throne of God is in Satlok( ETERNAL PLACE) 😊😊
God Kabir met Jesus and took his soul to Satlok. On their way, God Kabir made him see his ancestors David, Moses, Abraham, etc. in the Pitra Lokas. Then God took him to Satlok😊❤

It's a real shame the Gold Star isn't available in Germany. As far as I'm aware of - anybody please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm in Bavaria and not aware of any dealers.
I find the shotgun a bit boring, the Super Meteor more alluring. That said I've never sat on or ridden either of them.
The beauty queen for me - no doubt - is the classic 350 in the brown and chrome variant, with a rack instead of the pillion seat. It reminds me of the old 250 single BMW of my Dad, built in the 70s I think. He used to work as a cop, too by the way. Keeps nagging me to try his stripped down 1200 Gold Wing... "But Dad, I'm a mere 65 kilos, that bike is way too heavy for me!" :D
I guess I'll try it some day when I feel confident enough. Also keeps on urging me to try an old BMW GS, despite my short legs at (hits up an online calculator) five foot nine inches. Oh well.
I'm really interested in the new Himalayan 450, or 452? Whatever it's called. I like the looks, the height and weight are manageable, fuel mileage is going to be great and it's affordable and looks pretty comfy. Sure I won't have the smoothness or speed of my old 600 four-in-line... but I can very well imagine myself having fun on that.
I guess I have a lot of test rides in front of me.
So much for this stream of consciousness. Have a nice weekend, and keep the shiny side up!
Here's a short clip of me riding ye olde Bavarian Woods. Set it to 4k, there's bad artifacting (I dunno what I'm doing wrong) ua-cam.com/video/VAALOn38egI/v-deo.html

Great comparison and descriptions of the enfields which uses sensible criteria. I’d like to own one but unfortunately, none of these score as highly as my MT 03. This is almost as cheap, lighter, more powerful, lower, more economical, smoother, has better suspension, better build quality, better resale value and has an incredibly low seat height, which is an essential for me. Ok, it looks awful but I’m not into posing, just riding. BTW, my instructor would say that you resemble a duck coming into land when you come to a stop.

    Morning young man.
    Luv this Dave.
Fair comment about the Himmy and Scram.
I own a Himmy and Interceptor; both are keepers.
Like you I prefer riding the Classic 350 over the Meteor. Having a 1957 B.S.A.350 in my modest stable means it’s hard to justify the purchase of a Classic 350 despite that machines advantages. I have not yet had the pleasure of riding the Hunter; but agree it’s not quite a modern classic.
Wifey and I love Edna our Inty. We have had a couple of short trips on her and she easily rode Hardknot pass the more technically challenging west to east travertion, two up with hard panniers and top box. Sure; the Inty isn’t perfect, let down by poor OE suspension, a consequence of being built to a price.
I’ve not ridden the Super Meteor and if I’m honest the Royals Enfield Meteor’s aren’t my bag; if I was gonna buy a cruiser it would be a used 883 Sportster.
I can understand why you miss your Classic so much. There is something captivating about a low reving single cylinder motorcycle that other engine configuration’s can’t match.
It’s all about bums on seats. It doesn’t matter one jot what you ride; what matters is you are out there
enjoying the thrill of travelling by your chosen motorcycle.
Superb content Dave. Fair and balanced, excellently narrated and highly interesting; well done bud.
    Cheers and ride safe.

At present I have downsized & own two 125 machines one being a twist & rip Italian maxi styled scooter of 12 • 2 hp ,a Step thru Honda 125 cc of 9 •3 hp built in Thailand & a 250 cc Suzuki AdV styled bike of 24 •8 hp built in China . I don’t require masses of hp or speed & only ride the odd section of motorway occasionally ,which all my machines can cope with if need be . I always had a soft spot for single thumpers ,so if choosing a modern classic Brit styled bike ,it would either be an RE 350 classic or the BSA 650 gold star . If choosing a twin I would go for the RE interceptor 650 ,or try & get hold of a Kawasaki W 650 or W800 used in nice nick . I don’t like the modern fake Triumphs ,they are bulky & lack the lithe elegance of the old classic Tigers & Bonnies from the 1960 ‘s . I like bikes with just the standard controls at realistic prices , I don’t want to pay for unnecessary nerdy tech idiot proof gadgets like slipper clutches ,fly by wire blipper throttles & such flippery as modes & traction controls ,blue tooth ,& any other gamer boy induced over priced tat . A Honda CB300F puts out at least 30HP. Royal Enfield should keep selling their current line of bikes in India and for the rest of us...increase the HP by at least 15 - 35HP on all models would be a good starting point. Yes, horsepower costs money. A fact of life. Cheers

Unhurried propulsion through the sights, sounds and smells of the countryside, with no need for the hair-trigger, grim death responses of faster machines, accompanied by the steady chug chug of the single pot. It's an experience people respond to, or they don't.

Just get another one Dave. They are keepers. In part because the residuals are so low that it's hardly worth selling one, but keepers, nevertheless.

I'm sure the 350 is a excellent modern classic, but think we need to talk about the measly power output, 20 hp for a 200kg bike is not going to swing me to part with hard earned mula, I'ave ridden 125's with more power back in the day, RE need to stick that new 450 engine in a new '350' or new modern classic and same for the scram.

Enfield's 350's lovely styling , but it's 2024 not 1954 ffs 20hp coupled with 200kg's give or take just does not cut it. Heck my 1939 bmw R35 is only rated at 4 hp less. Any road can see your talking yourself into getting another one dave , get one soon because i think the price will jump back up come spring time. ps myself i would be looking at the triumph 400x as a small modern second (or third ) bike.

This video has a glaring fault! It's too short! I'm 71 , disabled and sold my heavy, fast Blackbird 2 years ago. Can't walk very well, can't live w/o a bike! Limited income. Few weeks ago bought a 2001 BMW F650 Gs. I jus luv the dern thing! Came with panniers, great pillion accommodations, lots of fuel under the seat (almost 5 US gallons), off-road capability, rotax last-forever 50hp engine, no exhaust in the way (Interceptor!!!) Light weight (Interceptor !!!), ABS, heated grips, center stand, I'm happy for $2K US !!!!!

My BSA C-15 250 singles make more hp and are 100 lbs lighter. I can keep up with traffic on the freeway if I have to. My whole collection of 250' s is cheaper than a RE 350. Re350 is unit construction with pre- unit hp.All RE should have hydraulic valve adjustment and belt drive. Chain drive is expensive in the long run if put lots of miles on the bike. A chain driven oil pump is a disaster waiting to happen.

The Classic 350 is, far and away, the most eye appealing bike that RE makes. Having said that, it is just too darned under powered for most of us who live out in the wilds of the western US. Here's a suggestion to the brain trust at Royal Enfield. (As I'm sure that they spy on your channel) 🙂 Follow Harley Davidson's lead with a special operations division (CVO) and design, build, and sell , in limited quantities, more performance orientated versions of the Classic 350, the Continental GT, and the Super Meteor. The Classic could very easily become a Super Classic/Bullet 500, and the Continental and Super Meteor could be bumped to 750cc versions. Special graphics, paint schemes, and suspension upgrades could top it off. Of course, they would need to be priced accordingly. I know that England has its silly horsepower limits for certain riders, and RE has done a good job of meeting these restrictions. There is a pretty substantial market here in the States, however, that would appreciate more GO on these bikes. I know that I would certainly be more willing to plunk down my Yankee $$ for something like that.

Quit whining. Royal Enfields are about refinement. Not speed and power. If you are all about speed and power, get a lesser machine. And yes, I live in the States... Arizona. I toured through the canyons and mountains of Arizona and Colorado...1100 miles in three days. All back roads and the best tour I've ever had in over fifty years of riding. Slow down and enjoy the refinement.
