I've said this in other videos but for shooters, this controller is only good for Aim assist games which is the minority on PC. For everything else you'll still need a Dualsense for the motion/gyro sensor to mimic mouse input.
I agree. I love playing Keyboard & Mouse across all other games. I only use controller for Call of Duty, Halo Infinite (barely play now), and I even tried it on Apex Legends. It feels more intuitive for FPS games.
Great video bro. Production quality and pacing is top notch.
Catching up on comments. Thanks bro! Trying to improve each time.
Can you please connect this controller to pc VIA "STEAM" and let your pc only users know if you can re-bind every button, stick, peddles, etc. Everything! when connected to STEAM BIG PICTURE MODE (please note you must enable steam input for "ps5 & Generic" controller in settings >controller first)..."NOT USING THE ICUE SOFTWARE ONLY THROUGH STEAM BIG PICTURE MODE"
Ok I will look into this and make an update video. 👍
My scuf envision pro controller is not connecting to the icue software, what do i do to fix it?
i am using usb c connection the software is also up to date
The buttons on the back are too close and small. I love the paddles on the SCUF impact.
I agree but eventually I got used to it.
That’s good! I badly wanted to love this controller! The way I have had the buttons on the back mapped for years… I would have had to remap too. Sometimes I need to tap one while holding the others down and there just isn’t the space for my fingers to do so.
Have you been using this controller for the last 3 months? If so you should do an update review of your experience with the controller as this video done well reviewing it, however you hadn’t used it prior to doing this review.. I’m looking at replacing my scuf reflex FPS for this Envision pro as I mainly play on PC and if I want to play my PS5 I’ll just use a standard controller
Hey! Yeah definitely have been using it since I purchased it. Actually haven’t used my Reflex FPS ever since. The review video is actually in the works! In the meantime definitely recommend it for PC
@@ayoreygaming Okay thank you for your reply! I appreciate it and think I’ll be selling my reflex FPS and buying the Envision pro
@@ayoreygaming It’s great to hear you’re making a video and will keep an eye out for it! Do you use all the paddles and bumpers?
@@HyperRaiill I’m sure you won’t regret the controller. Yeah I take full advantage of all the paddles and bumpers.
I've read some reviews that complain that the controller doesn't have "Hall Effect Sensors". Could this become a problem after prolonged use?
In addition, the D-pad is said to be too far to the left of the edge and therefore the controller doesn't fit particularly well in the hand.
Is this all nonsense or is there something to it?
This controller doesn't come with hall effect sensors. I was sort of looking forward to it but I guess they didn't decide to use them. Controllers that have the hall effect sensors "ideally" last longer than regular potentiometer gaming controllers but I still think it's too early to really tell their durability. Also, doing some research into the tech, they require proper calibration to be as accurate with the proper dead zones. This worries me in the event you end up with a defective or improperly calibrated controller. The trade-off for "no stick drift" may not be worth it. Besides a business aspect of having you buy a new controller every so often, I'm sure there's other reasons why companies haven't fully switched over to controllers with the hall effect sensors.
As for the placement of the D-pad, I have fairly average to small size hands and I haven't had an issue with the placement. I feel that this controller is actually more comfortable to hold than the Reflex Pro or Instinct Pro. I believe if the D-Pad actually becomes an issue, I would just map certain directional buttons to either the back paddles or side buttons.
@@ayoreygaming thanks for the reply. I have ordered the controller and am looking forward to it arriving in 1-2 weeks. I was lucky because shortly after I placed my order it said "out of stock" on the store page again.
I'd say claw can help with the D-pad issue. You can use your finger to click either button on the pad. If you aren't comfortable with learning claw, then I'd recommend mapping your controls to the paddles and S1 and S2 buttons instead.
Hows the 4 paddle on back idk if its to use
The four paddles on the back are extremely useful. I can jump, slide, reload, and swap weapons without having to remove my thumbs from the joysticks. This is a huge advantage unless you play “claw” style, which I personally find very uncomfortable.
The 2 on the inside are easy to hit
Good for fighting games? How is the D-pad
The D-Pad, as well as all the other buttons, are mechanical switches. They feel like “mouse clicks” which make them extremely fast and responsive. Way better than the buttons on regular controllers. 👍
Beautiful yes ,,but what you do after 6 months warranty is gone away,.,?all those money to the toulet
this has a 12 month warranty january 2023 scuf includes 12 month warranty on a few controllers including this one
@@holysmoke7887i have 4 scuf controller’s and no one of them is 12 month warranty
Unfortunately that’s the risk with controllers. I still prefer mouse and keyboard but until they tone down the aim assist I’m forced to use a controller.
so if i play steam games with this controller will it recognize it and will it work like a normal controller or do i have to go through a complicated process of binding and stuff
So yes, the envision pro controller will be recognized as a gaming controller by Steam. You’re able to use it as a normal controller but you’ll be missing out on the advantages of the paddles, S buttons (on the side), and the five bottom G buttons. Also, you can program all these buttons fairly easy with the program, but it’s not mandatory
I’m getting the standard one soon
You need to figure it out and get the pro , it’s not big price difference . The grip , the mouse clicks , etc is too good to be cheap for a couple bucks .
@@OPGrimmz is it worth the extra 50 as I hear a lot of reports they don’t last long
I would definitely go for the pro if possible. In the long run it makes more sense for the price difference.
@@ayoreygaming will the controller last a long time tho ?
@@jaymierc6807 So I'm primarily a keyboard and mouse player. I got back into controllers about 3 years ago because of the release of Halo Infinite and Call of Duty Warzone. I own two SCUF controllers and they're still holding up great. I have friends that still have been buying SCUF controllers for years so they convinced me to go with them. I can't complain and I will do a follow up review video once I have about 3 months using it. I have seen some negative reviews on them but to be quite honest I feel like that happens with everything, sometimes you end up with a bad batch of controllers.
