Do you have xbox? because this doesnt work on xbox. For PC and Switch, it's kinda solid. Just make sure you bought from somewhere with good return policy.
Hey good video. Just curious since theres not much about this problem online.. but why is this controllers latency so bad compared to others? On GamepadLa it shows all the total latency even beyond just the polling rate and the VP3 has some awful results, like 10ms and up for wired/wireless 500hz results whereas the gamesir T4k for example is a true 1-2ms at 1000hz. Some controllers apparently are very deceiving! Even the Apex 4 at 1000hz is bad😭 can you help explain why? I just ordered the VP3 to "upgrade" from t4k and now im not sure lol
Vp3 is not great with wired, 2.4 GHz just outperform the wired VP3. T4K is better if you just want pure 1000Hz. During the test, I also pick the most common sample out of 20 to 30 sample and measurement is done after the movement has started. It also the result I have most confident on its reliability to be presented. Just to add, different system can have different response time. The important is to compare relative performance since different person may produce different result but the trend rarely different across devices on the same reviewer. I have Apex4 and it’s my main. Never released a video about it. I just caught up with jobs… 😭 I don’t think you should worry, because it is an upgrade from T4K to VP3 in wireless department. Your internet latency will kills you before your controller lag. KKMax also did exceptionally well at 1000Hz wireless but the device has other kind of downside that make it not worth my hand.
@@kaiserdostuff I prefer wireless anyway so its ok. And yes the T4k is certainly fast, according to Gamepadla its the 2nd fastest controller available in the world (at least fastest of all the controllers completely tested in their database) just behind the 8bitdo Ultimate as the fastest, this really surprised me so Ive been looking into it since, I urge you to check out their website for yourself if you'd like. In my original comment I'm not sure if I clearly conveyed what I was trying to say, basically we're normally testing for synthetic results that don't necessarily reflect the true input latency of the controller, so while the polling rates are accurate (and important), it appears there's much more to consider when it comes down to it. That being said, unfortunately Flydigi's 1ms or 2ms claims seem like marketing BS now to me. Here's the vid that points out the testing showing much more input delay ms than the poll rate would suggest --> ua-cam.com/video/TRg0UjZw4go/v-deo.html I think this info needs to become more prevalent within this community where gamers place so much importance on input delay, a controller like Apex 4 is NOT cheap and one of its biggest selling points is 1000hz both wireless and wired, but it actually averages 7-8ms instead. To be clear I'm not saying this is the end of the world and its now unusable or bad, as you said most peoples internet latency is worse than that, but we cannot deny that this isn't the performance we thought we're getting, and every ms of latency eventually adds up for total system delay which will impact us all differently but its inevitable. I was deciding between Apex 4 & Vader 3 Pro for my upgrade but once I realized their input delay is roughly the same that made it an easy choice for me at least for now, going with Vader since thats 1 less feature the Apex would have over it. I just wish Vader had adjustable stick tension like Apex has, that feature must be AMAZING!! I suppose Flydigi has a problem with total latency happening that they need to fix either with upcoming firmware updates or just on the new models of the future (Apex 5, V4P, etc) but I think they never will unless people like you and other content creators expose the issue. Basically stock xbox controller's latency with only 125hz rate are keeping up with these Pro controllers. Sounds like you been busy which is understandable but I'd love to see a video of Apex 4 from you, I'm interested in seeing more in depth about it's adjustable tension sticks. But with or without this info on the controller's latency is up to you, you already do a lot of comprehensive research with a ton of data in your videos like this one about the V3P showing extra detail I haven't seen elsewhere, which I definitely appreciate. Now I'm just adding more work on top of it Lol but in all seriousness maybe this topic is worth its own dedicated video sometime. If so I think you'd do well in getting the message across better than most
@@kaiserdostuff or a TLDR to put it simply: polling rate only serves as a theoretical minimum input delay but has no guarantee that the data retrieved is recent. It seems Flydigi controllers true input delays are hidden behind this confusion

Are any of the macro buttons customizable on the controller itself without the software? Also watched your Machenike G6 review and currently own one, would you recommend this over that?
Yes, but giving credit where it’s due, G6 is far superior in wired mode. Also, FlyDigi never have on the fly macro record. So, it’s a bit of playing favorite child here. If G6 and G5 Pro price more competitive, I think can recommend it. It just they price it 30% more expensive than competitors.
friend when you did the test of circularity in the analogues did you adjust the dead zone to 0 or did you leave it between 5 and 10? because generally controls with hall sensor analogs usually present 0% error in this test
Thank you for your very detailed reviews. just one correction, there are 3 colors available. Besides black and grey, there is a dark green pro version. And i have one question. Is there a way on this controller to limit the circularty, like with the Gamesir T4 Kaleid in the software?

Hello! Just a question, is your face buttons still registering with the click after some usage? Three of my vader 3 pro succumb to the issue that I mentioned before (possibly a microswitch problem) and I'm wondering if yours is alright? I did not even use them heavily, just around 4-5 hours of playtime.
@@0123diggi I've tested with DInput in 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, none of them detected by DS4Windows. FLyDigi has their own curve customization, I don't know if that useful.
Great controller but they should have lost the swappable thumbsticks. Mine are starting to get the annoying click already in the thumbsticks. Mind you, I've hardly used it. Gonna return it for the last time. Gone through a handful of them now. Kinda over the hype. Edit: oh and the centering spring is too weak for the sticks as well. It'll stretch out and get sloppy super quick. Especially for heavy users.
it saddens me that its impossible to find a review or a statment by the manufacturer about if the axby buttons are pressure sensitive, thats all that i want to know and pretty much the only difference that these off-brand controllers have
Awesome review! Very informative. I just found your channel and I'm pretty sure its gonna blow up soon coz what you're putting out is quality. Please do a review of the Apex 3 Elite too! Or if you already have it, what do you think about it?
I own the mobapad but not the vader: - sticks on mobapad are pretty good, as is battery life and shoulder buttons - - they actuate anywhere you press - software on mobapad is non-existant for pc, and hot garbage on Android. Also, while a b x y buttons are clicky, they are completely devoid of tactility and when pressed, sit flush with the case (!). Connection to pc over bluetooth is ~12ms latency. I have not found a way to disable rumble (it's not supported by most android games/emulators anyway) or update the firmware through the app (tried it on a tablet and phone, always failed at 3% so i guess i'm stuck at firmware 1.11). Also, the Mobapad connects to pc, iOS and android by either emulating a switch pro controller, xbox controller, or as 'mobapad pro-hd', each giving you different compatibility for different apps. when you instead pair with the always visible 'mobapad' - which is their solution to have the controller connected to a device while also being connected through their app (which hardly ever works), the controller simply turns off.
oh, and of course the mobapad is not natively supported by rewasd. You may think at this point: "fine, i' ll get its bigger purple brother (m9) instead": no, you don't. it has alps instead of hall-effect joysticks. Well, at least the battery isn't a proprietary format while also being soldered to the motherboard like the 8bitdo ultimate, so that's a plus. Also, the d-pad is clicky, and not completely terrible. tl;dr: chitu's weaknesses are software, a b x y buttons, firmware, 12ms bluetooth latency (best case), lack of gyro (at least on Windows/Android, unable to test other platforms) and lack of analog triggers
@@michaelknight2342 Appreciate your reply about the Chitu. I ended up grabbing a Vader 3 pro which cost only like 10 bucks more expensive than the Chitu couldn't be happier with it considering it had 1 year warranty and more function than the Chitu (Gyro also works on PC) and the switchable analog and digital trigger is🔥and seeing how both the software for both controller sucks, I'll just call the vader 3 pro a winner here
I really like this controller and it was my go to for the past few days however the A button on mine needs harder force to register, the button doesn't register the same time as the click and needs more travel (microswitch problems). Other than that this is one is really promising.
@@kaiserdostuff It is quite annoying, hopefully the QC improves for future iteration of this controller since this is actually a genuinely good controller. The graphs are very well appreciated btw, good stuff. I can also see improvements on some broll shots and overall quality. Keep it up man!
I have another question, but I understand that the DualSense PS5 gamepad is up to 8000hz if you overclock it on your PC. I want to know if you compare measurements with other game pads after 8000hz overclocking. However, it is also important that the actual latency value and the average latency distribution should be uniform than the polling rate. However, another question is that the Nintendo Switch does not trust the value benchmarked on the PC. For example, if you watch this video ( ua-cam.com/video/lcv0Tz0UuBc/v-deo.html ), when you connect the BigBigWon R100 Pro (Bluetooth) dongle on the Nintendo Switch, you get interesting results when you connect 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth 5.1 to the Nintendo Switch. What I'm curious about is that on Nintendo Switch, I think the overclocked game pad on PC will also be applied to other Bluetooth dongles, but does it really work? It is.
Tried some on 8k, but it doesn't have any different to 1k. Probably it hit the hardware limit. It will not apply to dongle, because 1. You can only overclock on wired and 2. The software setting was saved on PC, not on controller. I tried to overclock the dongle itself, it never works. But, you can make any console communicate faster than default by hacking it (probably a wrong word...) and this is what a dedicated dongle can do. That video is one of many proofs. Adjustable wireless polling rate is not new, it just controller manufacturer doesn't make it a feature yet. M&K has this for a very long time. So, it just a matter of time when this became a default feature, tho still depend on Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
@@Psychotoxic86 intermittent ehh.. Have you tried changing the port? just use the dongle if you used dock. That's kinda suck. I hope it's not like my case with G6, that controller refused to work with my gaming pc.

Does this controller have independent back buttons like Beitong Zeus, or older Flydigi models? In previous version (Vader 2) it was possible to assign mouse/keyboard keys to any back button. On many "pro" controllers unfortunately you can only mirror another controller button and I cannot find information what about Vader 3.
You can. as usual, just a single mouse/kb key.

I just caught up with jobs… 😭
I don’t think you should worry, because it is an upgrade from T4K to VP3 in wireless department.
Here's the vid that points out the testing showing much more input delay ms than the poll rate would suggest --> ua-cam.com/video/TRg0UjZw4go/v-deo.html
I think this info needs to become more prevalent within this community where gamers place so much importance on input delay, a controller like Apex 4 is NOT cheap and one of its biggest selling points is 1000hz both wireless and wired, but it actually averages 7-8ms instead.

Great and detailed review, curious to see how this would compare with the mobapad chitu
I own the mobapad but not the vader:
- sticks on mobapad are pretty good, as is battery life and shoulder buttons - - they actuate anywhere you press
- software on mobapad is non-existant for pc, and hot garbage on Android.

I have another question, but I understand that the DualSense PS5 gamepad is up to 8000hz
if you overclock it on your PC. I want to know if you compare measurements with other game pads after 8000hz overclocking.
However, it is also important that the actual latency value and the average latency distribution should be uniform than the polling rate.
However, another question is that the Nintendo Switch does not trust the value benchmarked on the PC. For example,
if you watch this video ( ua-cam.com/video/lcv0Tz0UuBc/v-deo.html ), when you connect the BigBigWon R100 Pro (Bluetooth) dongle on the Nintendo Switch,
you get interesting results when you connect 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth 5.1 to the Nintendo Switch.
What I'm curious about is that on Nintendo Switch, I think the overclocked game pad on PC will also be applied to other Bluetooth dongles,
but does it really work?
