Thanks for testing this out for us, unfortunately that audio quality is shocking lmao. Wireless audio just can't beat wired. I just use a cheap ebay lav mic along with the GoPro media extension mod and the sound quality is great
Yes you get two separate audio files with each video when using a bluetooth mic. One for the camera mic and one for the bluetooth.@@emmanueldogomeo5236
works? yes. ideal? nah. But like he said it is technically a way to get started until you can get better equipment. but also if you can afford a hero 12 you can probably afford a media mod and mic to get the best engine sounds, clearer voice, and less wind.
hello bro, Im just new with Go Pro12, I do motovlogging as well, Im planning to buy a wireless mic, with your experience with past 4 months do you have any suggestion what wireless mic I buy?
Wired mic is better quality for sure, but this is totally usable. I didn’t have to link separate files. The audio gain wasn’t adjusted at all and I wasn’t getting popping/clipping noise. I’m so stoked about it
I was about to purchase the hero 10 to start motovlogging. I came to youtube first. So, is it only the hero 12 that can be connected to a Bluetooth mic? Does it have to be airpods? Or can I use the FreedConn Bluetooth headset I already have on my helmet?
Anyone please tell me GoPro hero 12 can we use AirPods and connect power bank to GoPro while recording? One more question is can we use media mod and connect wire mic and connect power bank charge and record together?
it kinda cuts out the noise of the motorcycle tho or was I distracted ? I have the hero 12 but I use the audio mod and mic cause I picked up content creator edition. the idea to use this with my go pro and have my sena on a phone call I could probably catch not only my Audio but that of my riding group?
It creates two audio files. One for the camera mic and one for the AirPods. In this video I muted the camera as the wind noise was really loud. I’ll add a fuzzy mic cover and start blending the audio sources next time.
Good stuff man thanks for the vid. Tbh though, audio quality is not bad but noticeably isn't as good as the wired mic in some other setups... wonder if there's anything that can be done to improve it
The GoPro makes two audio files with each video. One for the camera mic and one for the AirPods. I think with dead cat or foam camera mic cover you could blend the two sources and get a better sounding end product. I muted the camera mic for this video.
Sound quality is incomparable with wired mic. I can understand what you are saying, but the biggest problem for me is that I don't here the engine noise of motorbike which makes video much less exciting to watch.
The GoPro makes two audio files per video. One for the camera mic and one for the AirPods. You can blend them together, I just used the AirPod audio for this video.
Thanks for sharing. This is a cool update and great for noobs like me. 💅
This is the reason why I preferred 12. I can’t say quality is perfect but it’s big milestone
You can pair it with a helmet headset too. I have a cardo pack talk and lexin g16 it uses the mic from the headset and sounds crisp and clear
No way! I need to try that with my Sena. . .
So with a cardo, you can sync to your phone and go pro at the same time?
@@Briansgate with the GoPro 12 yes.
@@FXDLSAZ cool, thanks for the info!
Hey, question about the cardo headset, can you use it without the baseplate as a mic you could walk around with?

Links?
thanks bro a lot easier to motovlog😊👍🏽
But if you sync to the GoPro are you still synced to your phone well, or is it one or the other?
I’d say not a game changer. Audio sounds garbled and too much wind noise. Thanks for testing it out and sharing.
Wind noise is definitely a factor. Blending the audio with the GoPro’s separate audio file helps a bit.
@@TysonMoto do you still get both the audio from Gopro and Bluetooth mic after you transfer it to PC?

Can you listen to music from iPhone and use the mic with GoPro simultaneously?

Will it autoconnect when you turn gopro off and on again? Or you have to take the gopro and manually pair it again
Its a big update from go pro, especially if you’re on the budget. But still, the wired mic has better quality

Yes the Hero 12 is the only GoPro with Bluetooth mic capability. You of course can use a media mod and wired mic on any version.
Muchas gracias! Hoy mismo estuve probando esto en casa con la Ace Pro. Mañana lo pruebo en la calle con mi moto 🏍️🐶✌️
i wonder if you can still listen music while using this mic 🤔 if not.. then still useless for.long ride.. i love listening music while riding
I wonder if you can connect it with the sena intercom and use the sena microphone that is already in the helmet...
It can only connect to Bluetooth microphones. Definitely worth a try though.

My helmet always pulls out my AirPods takin it on or off 😅
Me too, Im gonna try the memory foam ear tips to hopefully fix that and help with cutting down wind noise.

@@TysonMotothats great
Airpods is not the best mic
Sounds good to me… you better or no worse than any other Moto vlogger on UA-cam
