Found my first fishing lure hunting with the underwater drone Chasing M2 at Lake St. Clair, pretty easy to control the claw and grab the swimbait I found. A lot of opportunity if you're looking to save and make money with baits, by either reusing them fishing or selling them on ebay.

Thanks Mark, they've been tough this year, I haven't given it my all though either, gonna really hit them hard the following weeks. Yeah this treasure hunting is a blast, I wanted to hit the 9 mile pier up and maybe north of the gpyc pier, where there'll be a lot of lost lures, but it was so rough yesterday because of the 20mph+ wind. I gotta get some extra batteries, so I can hunt longer, they ain't cheap though lol.

That bowfin was something else huh? Must be very territorial, I haven't had another fish get that close to the drone, the bass get close, but always keep a distance, bowfin must be pretty agressive. Curious what the musky will do when I come across one lol, let's hope it doesn't attack the drone. So far I haven't heard of any shark attacks in saltwater with underwater drones.

5:44 Northern Mike those Bowfins must be pretty territorial for it to get that close to the underwater drone! Original plan was go to the 9 mile pier, lures gotta be piled up there, but north wind was pretty bad, wasn't many fishing lures that I spotted on the south side of GYPC! I gotta find me some megabass jerkbaits!

That rock wall by Brownies probably has a ton down there too. I know I lose half my tackle box every time I fish there.

@@discoverangling4892 thanks for the tip! Yeah there's also a spot at metro park I've lost a few 8.0s at, downed tree or something. It would be cool to come across a lost tackle box like this dude ua-cam.com/video/TRuBzO_0rQs/v-deo.html

I think those mentos were mine, oops.
That Bowfin wasn't really scared until the end. I wanted to see you pinch his little head.

Haha, it would be crazy to see if I could catch a fish with the claw, I think a net extension would be better!

im looking to get into this im undecided between M2 and QYSEA FIFISH ...any thoughts? whats your experience when dealing with tech support

    • @EternalAngler
      @EternalAngler  Рік тому +1

A year ago I was recommending the M2, but now that QYSEA has come out with the V6 Expert that is more stable, has focus lock, and posture lock to fight current and turbulence, I'd have to go with the V6 Expert. But the M2 is no joke, still a great drone. The M2 bracket needs upgraded though when picking up heavy items with the claw, the Fifish V6 handle the tether attaches to is a lot more resilient and stronger. Still can't go wrong with either of them! Tech support is decent with both of them

Thanks for the response, I went with M2 as blue skies drone rentals had a great deal still relay costly 2800 however it’s complete with a reel, hard case, and grabbing arm …

@@dyonkers1 Cool, just make sure you take care of the motors with silicone spray, seals with grease and the every day thrushing of the motors with a tub of water, along with keeping the battery charged at all times, if you do this, you shouldn't have a problem. ua-cam.com/video/kfJ4FKsjlh4/v-deo.html
This dude "The Fish Finders" gave a good review, but he said later too me in comment section, that his motors locked up. ua-cam.com/video/VoV2LyyFZBw/v-deo.html
Why it's important to pay attention to the facebook groups, to see what you have to do maintenance wise to keep these underwater drones working flawlessly.
I've even heard some say they've got a few lemons with the M2, where circuitry and battery went bad real quick... I wonder if that had to not properly regreasing the rubber rings and gaskets, as well as not keeping battery charged.
Stan on chasing facebook group gave out some incredible info on keeping his gladius mini working longer period of time...
      www.youtube.com/@stanvisualseychelles932
If you listen about the hell James Cameron and his cast crew went through to keep electrical things working when filming the Abyss, this is what goes along with trying to operate electrical gadgets like drones, cameras, and motors underwater... Is what it is, add salt into the picture, makes it even harder to maintain. Point of what I'm trying to make is, there's been a lot of people blaming these underwater drone companies, truth is no matter how perfect a drone is made, a lot of maintenance involved no matter what! ua-cam.com/video/4k1y6TGW24I/v-deo.html
It's the same with using spinning reels when fishing in saltwater, don't take care of them, they'll lock up!
I still love my M2, I'm mighty impressed with the add-ons like metal detector and software upgrade with the V6 Expert, but ya never know Chasing Innovation may surprise us one day. And honestly all these underwater drones have their pros and cons!
I'm so geeked about these underwater drones, the Expert is already the 4th underwater drone I own. Definitely inspired by James Cameron and his movie Abyss, with little geek! I said when I was a little tyke, man one day I'd love to own and operate one of those ROVs, little did I know one day they'd be affordable in my lifetime. Take advantage of the gift and opportunity, there's thousands if not 100s of thousands of buried treasure in lakes and oceans just waiting to be plucked, sadly many people aren't aware...
I may be buying Humminbird 360 mega fish finder soon to help me locate more treasure in the lakes around me.. I suspect using both a good fish find with great sonar and a large 15" screen, not only beneficial lol for bass and musky fishing, but I suspect work really good finding treasure with the Chasing M2 and Fifish V6 Expert.

@@EternalAngler ahh sonar...adding the drone is part of a complete picture for me. Having good imaging along with great mapping are 2 sides of the triangle. the drone being the third. I also use a bow mounted trolling motor that is independently connected to GPS shout out to motorguide. I run a 24 foot boat with a bracket so its like having 6 feet of extra drag. My motorguide keeps me on spot in a 20Knt wind...with my mapping, imaging and spot lock i have the ability to hover over a target without and anchor line ...
is there a video or could you make one showing where/how to apply grease/lubricant??? I am PAINFULLY aware of what salt water can do
