I went two days ago, found a dead 40 incher floating in the water at the spot I usually fish. Probably was caught by some jerk wad that kept it out of the water too long for pictures and caused the delayed mortality. Heart breaking. You been getting into anything decent since you've had the new boat out there??
@@gummo3873 that’s too bad man! I just completed a 10 day camping vacation with my family so I’ve pretty much been unplugged and dry docked. Hoping to start chucking some rubber mid week though once this wind settles
That shrink tubing on the hooks tip is so underrated. Still loose enough but won't put holes in your bait. Keeping the hook points from dulling as well. I thank you for that advice! That pike lure is huge. Last fall I was using a live target rubber pike, and only fish I caught with it was a pike smaller than the lure 😅
Yeah buddy great video guys I know you been sweating your asses off out there I watched the other two videos very hot and calm stick with that figure 8 and looking forward to the next video you guys rock keep up the good work👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They exist, but in my opinion large pike are the most elusive game fish there is. Talking about 40"+. There are more musky over 40 than pike, no doubt.
Yes we are well aware. Was not able to move fish over there those few days abd never saw one caught either- not even a net on a troller. Tough few days.
Hot and flat calm are my least favorite conditions for muskie fishing. It's tough to catch fish and hard on the body. That's when I go to night fishing. If nothing else it's more comfortable. It's hard to film at night but you've done it before.
Still a cool vid guys. So I seem to have problems with the Medussas running straight, I've bent them right or left still seems to roll alot. Is there a certain leader that you use or? Thanks again.
Had a couple temperamental ones. I cut the bottom fins off and fixed em right up with minimal bending of line tie and body bend. They sink faster but it gives me another presentation
A tip that has worked for me EVERY time when I get a Medusa that wants to constantly roll on you is to take the hooks off and place it in a pot of boiling water for 1-2 minutes, let it cool at room temperature, put the hooks back on and it should cure the problem. I've done this too at least 10 Deuces that had the rolling defect straight out of the package and boiling it has fixed it every time.
Musky fishing spend 5k on lures another 2k on 3 rods n reels to fish for 2 months to catch a fish that fights for 1 minute if ur lucky sounds like fun to me
They are cousins. The nice thing about musky is they really have a cult- like following, so they are stocked and there's plenty of big fish out there. I wish fisherman took as much care of pike as they did musky, they are treated with respect.
I really don't like that you guys are so negative when you catch a a nice Pike!!! To me Pike are just as thrilling to catch as the Muskie is, and I have caught a lot more Pike then I have Muskies. So don't look down your nose at what I think is one of the most exciting fish to catch in fresh water. It didn't get the name "Water Wolf" by not being an impressive game fish.
@@FishNFoolLures we love pike fishing. Just not as much when a smaller pike grabs your musky lure and you're hoping it's a 50" musky. We shoot plenty of pike videos as well.
It's nothing against the pike lol. They are targeting the good ole muskellunge, on a potential trophy musky body of water. So, you can see how the disappointment could get the best of you in that sitch. They have some really good pike fishing videos where they target and catch trophy pike too. We all love northern pike too! Hope you catch a huge one this fall my dude!
I'm always thrilled to catch wither but the musky are slightly more aggressive when you get one on. Atleast where I've been fishing but they're all mostly smaller fish. Average 30 inch musky but I've seen big ones. Caught some big pike too
@@TodaysAngler I know you have made quite a few Pike videos as I have watched them all. But it would be nice to show the Pike a little more love :) They are my #1 fish to pursue for sure. We don't have any real muskies out here in Idaho, only a few planted Tigers, My biggest was 39" and maybe 18 lbs, but my biggest Pike is 45 1/2" and about 30 lbs
Nice work fellas! We’ve received the cool down we’ve all been waiting on. Blowing North for a week now. Looking forward to getting back out there ASAP

Awesome video of the St Claire grind. Best thing about long hot days with little action is, it eventually changes for the better. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing like eating one of the bigger ones. Great job
Pike or musky dosent make a difference they still are are fun to catch

THE GRIND IS REAL! THANX 4 POSTING!
Just watching this vid made me get my stuff together and I'm going to hook up the boat and run to Peewaukee for the day. Take care guys.
How is that area? I live around Madison and always thought about fishing those lakes. The Madison chain isn't that great.
@Mike-lt6sj I'm sure it's not much diff than Madison area.need to hit at the rite times.
Way to go Lee. Those larger baits with the shrink wrap are the hot ticket.

14:01 - A Milwaukee M18 Jobsite Fan would have been clutch. It's a must have on my boat if its over 78°
Cool love you all
nice pic
Top, top, top!!
Mantab dapat ikan nya bos
If you caught a 50" Pike would you be that dismissive and say it's just a Pike!

Duh dun dun dun dun dah!!!🦸🏻Capt Obvious strikes again!
I really gotta get to St. Clair someday. Sad thing is I'm only a few hours away, but I'm just lazy lol.
Bagus sekali umpan nya sangat bagus
Still great action great footage Dog days of summer not much fun unless
Dogfish adventure coming up?
You guys were fishing in the nursery. The queens are in Canada

Just like a crank bait bend them the opposite way they are favoring. I like to bend them about a third of the way back from the head.

Well, at least "fishinFOOL" chose the correct account name for herself. 🙄😒🤦🏻
@@MikeYurbasovich who's comment are you responding too?? Because no one has said anything about pike on this comment thread.
