- This is how to remove a dash for 6th gen montes. Doing this will allow you to remove the gauge cluster, replace the HVAC, replace the headlight switch and dimmer, and get to the headunit for replacement or repair. Any questions, just post a comment and I will answer them.

Can u help me install my after market radio like urs my factory doesnt come on at all?
Will I be able to get to my actuators and be able to change out my HVAC I have a 2006 though?
It depends on the actuator, the HVAC removal in the 2006 is much easier. Unfortunately I sold mine or I would make a video on it as well. The piece the surrounds the stereo pops out and then you have access to the screws needed to get the HVAC out.

will the car start with the hvac and/or the radio removed? Something shorted out in what I think is the hvac.
Something popped and the climate control or whatever fan stopped. Smelled that burnt electronic smell. Turned the fan up to max and I got more pop and burnt smell. Radio and hvac are turned off, now the speakers will pop and the engine dead stops. Battery is dead too.
Previous owner did a hack job getting satellite radio in there.. electrical tape everywhere.. Hoping if I can unplug enough shit that'll be enough for me to at least move it.

I unplugged something. Dunno what. Giving me the passlock bullshit. It has that problem too.
I'll go out again tomorrow and pull the whole thing apart. Need to recharge the booster anyway.

Oh man, this is kicking it back a few years.. I think it was a Kenwood DDX-514, it was great for the time but it would definitely be out of date these days. Today something with Apple Car Play or Android Auto is the way to go.
