I was the same. I only had the original Sonic 3 as a kid, so I went my whole life without knowing how to break those rocks. Twenty years later, I finally played Knuckles' story in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and it blew my mind to learn there was another route hidden in the level I'd played a thousand times. And it had always existed there, even though Knuckles wasn't playable yet in the original.
59:00 those rocks you can't break as sonic are there to take you the alternative route through the level when you're playing as knuckles. You go underground for the rest of the zone 👍

You use Knuckles to break the rocks.
He has his own routes.
Also, during the 4th special stage, what you do is loop around the squares of blue spheres, and then they'll turn into rings.

About the question regarding boss health: Standard bosses have 8hp (Eight hits), however there are some exceptions. Sonic CD bosses have 1 to 4, and the sonic 2 final boss has 12hp.

So Here's The Thing; S1 Bosses Are 6 Hits, Except The Final One Which Is 8, CD Bosses Are 1 - 6 Depending On The Boss, S2 Bosses Are 8 Hits, But The Final One Is 12, S3 Mini Bosses Are 4 - 6 Depending On Which One, S3 Main Bosses Are 8, Including The Final Boss, S&K Mini Bosses Are 6 To A Whopping 16 Depending On The Boss, S&K Main Bosses Are About 8 - 10 Depending On The Boss.

it's always fun to see how people play one of my fav sonic games, sonic 2. alot of people don't get enough emeralds before the last stage to even experience super sonic, and the ones that do, get it pretty close to the end. it's hard to pull off but you can get enough emeralds to be super sonic in the first two zones, then you can fly through chemical plant and onwards as super sonic. sonic has always been "just have some fun" tho so either way is just as awesome
On the mobile port nowadays I get it in emerald Hill zone and just go super easily

I will say this till the day I day: Sonic Origins SHOULD be compatible with Sonic 3 AIR.
I don’t remember the last time I laughed during a UA-cam video and this video made me laugh multiple times also my first video of yours that I watched definitely subscribing! Also the special stages in sonic3/knuckles you go around the blue spheres to turn them into rings makes it easier and faster to get the spheres!

Some fish and and critters like bats eat mosquitoes. Although, they aren't the prime prey for any animal out there. Every mosquitoe in world could die right now and barely impact the ecosystem. Probably just less death. Especially in 3rd world countries.

It’s likely that they translated hydrocity and it assumed they meant hydro-city so they basically would’ve asked: “is it hydro-city or hydro city?”
Sonic CD is probably mid as a Sonic game, but pretty much because of 2 things:
1: The visuals and audio are good, but it's very much to taste - it doesn't quite have the same broad appeal as Sonic 1 or 2.
2: The game asks very different things of the player than Sonic 1 or 2.
This is the reason I see this game as divisive. For some people this is the perfect storm for a unique, engaging and repayable platformer. For others, this game is a garish and clunky continuation of Sonic 1. For others still, some bits are palettable and some bits are inexcusable. I guess I just count myself lucky that I've always loved the look and sound of this game, and I've recently clicked with this game's level design and what it asks of the player.

The spheres in the 3x3 and 4x4 squares, and other rectangles, by goodness please, they turn into rings if you outline them, the Perfect is satisfying and impressive looking, and it gives Continues and 50,000 Points...
Okay, I got that off my chest, as I'm sure many, many people have before me. But I love your videos, thank you for sharing this. I've got more video to go so I hope you accidentally trigger a ring explosion and feel silly. I just finished Sonic 3 AIR recently, so there's some big feels playing these classics again, and it's cool you got to live it so vividly.
