The ultimate pyrric victories, by my reckoning. 3. Second ork invasion of Armageddon. The planet was almost useless. 2. Vraks. Need I say more. 1. Siege of Holy Terra.
@@Nutellafuerst Don't forget scoring some legio vulcanum traitor titan kills. Though Vraks would be useless to the Imperium for the next few centuries and all the weapon stored are gone. But still, saving a planet is better than exterminatus.
One thing you forget about the Attack Moon over Terra during the War of the Beasts ; once they managed to destroyed it, the debris of moon base ended up getting drag by the gravity well of Terra and threatening to crash on the planet. With the orbital defenses already in ruin and few ships on their disposal to shot down the debris in the upper atmosphere, shit tons of debris have crashed everywhere on Terra, destroying some large cities and killing millions of citizens. It was a very bitter victory that day for the Imperium of Man...
I actually agree with the Iron Fists emergency rule to return to legion strength. It was not like they would actively use it for every battle they were in; it was one of those ' oh no Terra was about to fall' rule. Personally think the high lords were in the wrong for ordering the immediate break up of the legion. Would of prefered them to rather say thay once the ork mennace had been successfully defeated above terra; then they must break up back into chapters.
I have two Necron candidates for the Imperium´s worst defeats. "The world engine." And the Fall of Orpheus. Both destroyed an entire space marine chapter and destroyed an entire sector.

The moment the Emperor fully dies Holy Terra will immediately be flung into the Immaterium. True Hell on Earth.
The ultimate pyrric victories, by my reckoning.
3. Second ork invasion of Armageddon. The planet was almost useless.
2. Vraks. Need I say more.
1. Siege of Holy Terra.
The Imperium destroyed 2 Chaos Battleships, hundreds of CSM and millions of heretics and mutants on Vraks. its not so bad really.
The Imperium never loses. Mealy tactfully retreats until victory is complete.
Notice how Guilliman is never mentioned once in this video. Damn those lucky ultramarines and Matt Ward especially
And the Imperial fists just happen to be in almost all of them and get decimated almost everytime poor fist boys!
Yeah he is, in the seige of lions gate
Didn’t his crusade also fall flat on its face?
He had defeats, just not as catastrophic, I guess.
"Imperial Fists"
I love the Imperium's history, all those wars its just awesome. So many glorious stories, and some not so glorious. Love the Warhammer 40K universe
For every defeat the Imperium follows with a crushing blow to Xenos and Chaos
And furries.
@@MrSinthan good good
I have two Necron candidates for the Imperium´s worst defeats. "The world engine." And the Fall of Orpheus. Both destroyed an entire space marine chapter and destroyed an entire sector.
Never knew that our holy empire celebrated april fools this late
You're style of W40k lore videos is perfected and the best. Please don't change it too much and keep doing it for years. Subbed, Belled, and on the lookout for Luetin09 content.
Top ten best/worst space marine chapter to be inducted into!
1: Flesh Tearers.
2: Blood Drinkers.
3: Flesh Eaters.
4: Skin Goblins.
5: Organ Consumers.
6: Astral Blood Seekers

8: Fleah Dickers.
9: Those who eat flesh of other humans.
10: And Blood Angles successor chapter because they are fucking CANNIBALS!!!
L my man you are killing it with these, hell you made me cry over the Eldar FFS, and I don’t even like them all that much. Keep it up please as this is one of my. Favorite channels on UA-cam and you are doing amazing things my friend.
i'm speechless....the absurdity of 40k at its finest... the whole 1mil civilians against a waaagggh....priceless.
The Loremaster returns with another sultry voiced video. I feel the Emperor's blessing return
Truly the God-Emperor blessed him with a fraction of his knowledge
The Ecclesiarchy grudgingly co-signs this sentiment, but forbids you to watch any holo vids about chaos.
Luetin09, Dont take this the wrong way. I am a combat vet and this piece of art activated my PTSD! Youre good my friend. Ive never enjoyed my PTSD till now. Well done sir! Well done...
More like top 10 alpha legion conspiracy theories
You guys remember that scene from Saving Private Ryan where the Captain is in sudden shock from the sheer terror that he had just witnessed? Imagine a guardsman or Imperial Soldier if you would. And then times that scene by ten thousand.
Proletarian Crusader in a nutshell:
Orc attack moon: *exist*
Everybody on Terra: "I serve the Soviet Union!"
For *our* Emperor!
hey, luetin it might be an idea for these top 10 vids that you either keep the small card in the corner that tells the watcher what ur talking about or make a smaller one. I keep on having the problem of leaving and coming back to ur videos and being completely lost, a small card in the corner would go a long way to helping with that.
"it will take many hours to compile such a list" WELL, we are waiting! :)
OOH, it's time for my favorite drinking game! Every time Luetin09 says "slaughter", take a shot!
me: *eldar snickering* "well i must aquire my "popped corn" for this one"
Keep chuckling xeno filth, your finger bones and pointy ears will make great souvenirs.
The use of the GELF warning marker asteroid really threw me for a loop! 🤣🤣🤣
The traitor legions each had their reasons for their betrayal, but i thought one of the main reason was b/c the traitors thought there wasnt a place for them when the crusade was finished, they feared a time where they would not be needed...right?
Leutin you are crushing it son. I watch your videos over and over and over I'm just amazed how good of a Storyteller you are
Best part of waking up, is lutein In your cup.
Nice. Well done.
I totally sang your post whilst reading it. First prize.
These videos make me wish that total war would make a total war warhammer 40k series. Don't know how feasible that would be but it would be impressive game design on their part.
I think you forgot about Ian Watson having written the inquisition wars trilogy
Well that was depressing. Lol. The Horus heresy is one of the most tragic stories I've ever heard, but the additional details you provided here about the Imperial Fists just crushed me.
I am a simple man, I see a video detailing the events that will lead to the inevitable defeat of the Imperium and the sad pitiful death of their so-called "God Emperor" while his people weep in despair and the realization they will die slowly and painfully...I give a like.
Great video. Istan III sounded like a total blood bath. Tycho's last stand was my favorite story of defeat until I saw this video
This does put a smile on my face
Is it just me or the Imperial Fists got consistently slapped back and forth?
Almost fifty minutes of torment and heresy
I wish to see some fans cosplay as inquisitors banging in the midle of the night at Luetin09 door yelling OPEN UP IN THE NAME OF THE HOLLY EMPEROR!!
Glad I woke up randomly at 5:30am est lol
Was it random, though? ...
@@T0mN7 nani?
By the Emperor, Luetin, you put the best Soundtracks for these Lore Videos.
Yes Inquisitor, see?! that guy did it again!
Storm of Iron (no. 9) was the first 40k book I ever read. Got me hooked.
