Yes, I am aware that at 6:00 the audio does something weird for a couple seconds. Thanks to everyone who pointed that out, I guess that's just more proof that you don't need to be perfect to make a difference. :P haha
I use Zojirushi Tuff (the One Touch version) and hands down it's the best at keeping drinks cold/hot for a very, very long time. The other bottle I use is the Polar Bottle, with its soft plastic body I'm not worried it will break/crack like a Nalgene would.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
Didn’t realize I was gonna have such a common answer but hydro flask is the only thing that gets me to drink water on the go also is just me or did the background music get super loud at around 6:02
I really thought, there was a hidden meaning to that.... " that brand really does not matter and that the important thing is sustainability" ! Either way I love your videos!
+1 for Klean Kanteen. Their brand seems to support more environmental movements by organizing and helping local events. Also, your creativity for video is way underrated! Good stuff man.
I've owned a hydroflask for about 3 years and still love it! My previous water bottle was lost in a lecture room... I bought it because it was being sold in my local grocery store and with a quick google search I looked up reviews to make sure it was a good product. I'm planning on buying 2 as Xmas gifts for my cousins who will be going to university soon~
I use my hydroflask for EVERYTHING! It has a lifetime warranty. So worth the price. Is it heavy, sure (I have the 40oz one) but so worth it. I love water and I’m always drinking water. So having the big one was smart for me. I drink about 2 1/2 -3 a day. Only con is that I always have to pee 😂
We've had Klean Kanteens for years. Agree with your opinion. :) But try not to drop it onto concrete or tile. Stainless steel does dent, and it's really annoying when it's the bottom that gets dented.
I remember the first time I saw this exact kind of water bottle, it was at the checkout of Karma Co-op, a small grocery store in Toronto where you feel like you've accidentally walked onto the set of Portlandia. This, and another Klean Kanteen caught my eye - a red, 20 ounce non-insulated, with a narrow top. In years since, I actually found both water bottles left out in boxes in front of houses (in Toronto it's quite common for people to put things they no longer need in a box in front of their house). The red bottle became my go-to, and still is. The insulated one, like yours, it's great but I found I never used it so I gave it away. I preferred the larger size, and I already had an insulated zojirushi that I use everyday for coffee. I prefer the one hand usability of the zojirushi for coffee drinking, although it's not great for beer. Now that I'm watching this, I kind of wish I still had the wide mouth insulated klean kanteen though - and wish I could give it another go - especially to use it for beer!
I always carry a T2 flask. They have all of the same features as the Klean Kanteen you showed, and it also has a tea infuser built in, and comes in all sorts of different colours. I've been using the same one for the last 4 years and it's still going strong.
I just picked up a Yeti 18 oz Tumbler, has the same Tumbler but they added a big gulp plastic cover. 12 hours in the sun still cold and with ice cubes not entirely melted.
It hurt me to see the bottle roll and tumble 😭 I use metal and glass bottles because it lasts longer and doesn’t retain any odours, like what you said. Metal and glass bottles are also awesome because it can withstand heat. You can do that with plastic bottles but I wouldn’t recommend it. The only problem I’ve had so far with metal bottles is that it dents , and I’m pretty clumsy so to fix that I have a cover for it. But other than that, it’s my go-to because I love cold water (: My glass bottle is still standing strong till this day despite my classmates kicking it countless times by accident. I’ve also dropped it from 0.5m high and it didn’t break. But then again it depends on the thickness of the glass and mine has a removable rubber sleeve so that helps.
The brand I use is Ozark trail purely because they are an inexpensive brand and they look good. I have a water bottle that is similar to yours from them except the lid screws to the inside of the bottle which makes the lid easy to clean. I don't have to stick a scrubber inside a gap to clean it. The bottle is also very durable. I toss it around a lot and have even scratched it in a motorcycle related incident and it is still okay to use. I have had it for about 5 years now. I also have a similar cup that I used for drink around the house.
I have the same bottle and I've had it for years. I use it for everything but I did pick up a 40oz Klean Canteen for more water for bikepacking and hiking. Besides those 2 bottles, I have 3 Specialized bottles that fit on bike. I picked Klean Canteen because they are a 1% for the Planet member (along with Patagonia and MEC).
Started with nalgene , tO thermos , then hydro flask, and finally got a Klean kanteen 20z with the narrow mouth piece. Best bottle I’ve had, put coffee in my kanteen before school started and still had warm leftover coffee 9 hours later. Put ice water in the morning before golf and still had ice after 8 hours of golf and when I got home it still had chips (15 hours !!!) best investment I’ve put in for a water bottle
Hi I want get one I want to target but I don’t know why is the cap making that squeaky noise ever time I open and close What can I do is that post to happen or it a Defect product
i've seen a lot of hydroflask, but there's davidstea thermoses and they're amazing too! they also include a loose leaf tea infuser if you're into that, which is great (: it keeps my hot drinks hot for 10 hours and sometimes more, and my cold drinks cold for 7 hours!!
you missed the most important!!! if by any change, some of the parts brakes, you can buy and replace that part without buying again the whole bottle :D that is why i bought mine :D
I use the camelbak forge. It fits in my smaller Audi RS5 sports back cup holders and is vacumn sealed and has sports a one handed operation. Also the screw top allows for easy cleaning or thick chunks of ice if going cold.
I use a Liberty Water bottle. I like their designs and I think the fact that they are made in the USA is great. I also like how they are very artist friendly and include many artist to design their bottles.
I utilize different brands for a plethora of reason, number one is they we're gifts like my YETI can and/or bottle holder,or TAKEYA 40oz I love for each their own and a CAMELBAK 25oz for extra on bicycle or my gelpak hydrabag 2 liter for one bak pack or the 3 liter for longer bike & hikes so I've got variety but now I wanna try the flask in 40oz
Yeti Rambler 18oz bottle. The thing is amazing. It's kept my tea piping hot after forgetting about it overnight to when I opened up the bottle after waking up the following morning and it was still steaming. On trips out in the scorching sun, the outside of the stainless steel bottle would heat up leading me to assume the water with ice inside was also hot... little did I know, I would open up the bottle to still see my ice cubes floating in my ice cold water. The Yeti is a great bottle (I like it better than my previous Klean Kanteens) and I think you should look into one!!
I have a Camelbak water bottle, and reading these comments it has come to my attention that these are not the standard in other parts of the world as they are in Australia! They are known for utility-focused water bottles, especially for sports like hiking, cycling, etc, and are particularly known for their water "pouches" that have the little tubes. They have a lot of fancy nozzles on some designs that can need cleaning, but still a lifetime guarantee which I love. Always prefer to shout out a local brand than spend $10 on shipping something from the US!
I LOVE my hydroflask!!! I have 2 and plan to buy more for different occasions and different drinks. They have great size selections and colors and different mouth sizes and different lids. So definitely a great buy!
I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but you could purchase a similarly shaped lid to the bike bottle for your klean kanteen and use that if you'd prefer
I have Kleen Kanteen 16 insulated and used it for 6 years and switched over to GSI Microlite 500 with the Twist off lid. Pros: Microlite is lighter and smaller. Cons: it retains odor from flavored coffee creamer, which I never had that problem with my Kleen Kanteen. It also dents as easily as a Hydroflask.
My favorite water bottle is a 40 ounce hydro flask because it is double vacuum insulated, I like the texture of the bottle, it is sweat proof, I drink a lot of water so I get the fourth ounce but you can get it in any size, you can put stickers on it, there not that expensive, they are very aesthetic, they are super durable
I have the multi-use bottle by pure hydration and I like it because it really is multi use!... it comes with a basket to infuse your water with fruit or tea, and you can use it as a wide or narrow mouth bottle! The klean kanteen was a very close second choice though!!
some insulated bottles warn you not to use it for sparkling beverages so Ive got mine but Im looking for one for that purpose I got my bottle and is a game changer for winter it keeps my coffee hot and in summer is perfect for iced coffee XD
I’ve been using a swell bottle (it was a gift) and I don’t particularly love the small top. But it still maintains my water cold! I just get looked at weird by the barista whenever I ask for coffee... oh well
I use a mizu and ikea water bootle for daily use. My mizu bottle is really good at keeping stuff hot or cold and my ikea bootle cost $4 and is durable and the perfect size for me.
I only drink room temperature water in my bottles, so I've had the same camelback for four or five years. It is a chute, so no straws or valves that have to be replaced more often, just having to replace the lid twice when the plastic that holds the screw cap on breaks. I gave the first lid to one of my students who needed one for an off brand bottle, and I still have the second one, because it still works-- I just don't trust myself not to lose the screw cap. It only cost about $15, with a lifetime warranty, and it's clear purple! It's important to me to support less expensive companies who many not be perfect, but are either sustainable or have repair programs. And if I ever have to get another bottle, you can bet it will be something similar, just from a garage sale. 🌎💜
s'well is my go to for water, i love the sleek design. I purchased a klean kanteen 16oz about a month ago and I love it for my morning tea and coffee. These two brands will always be my favorites!
Had mine for 3 years maybe but got it with a coffee top which for water or smoothies is pretty horrible and cannot find another top to buy that's not online :( so I am kind of tempted to buy a smaller one and keep it for coffee but exchange the caps haha. Mine is so crushed from all the sides, at one point it kept falling out of my shitty backpack!
Contigo Snapseal Byron for the win. Has a lid that flips open with one hand to drink so you don't have to unscrew the cap all the time which is a must if you are on the go and don't want to stop what you are doing to take a sip. Has the same insulated construction and just as durable at 1/2 the price.
I've have the Yeti Rambler 26 oz and yes its to big for most things, but you can always get a smaller size. I have dropped it, banged it against every thing and it's in way better condition then my hydroflask (which I love like crazy). I thinks Yeti's are just more durable.
I bet you can do the same to a Nalgene bottle full with water and it would hold up perfectly fine. I know that cos I have been using Nalgene for decades and dropped them so many times on all kinds of hard ground. I’m looking for a stainless steel non-insulated bottle cos it’s more healthy. Non-insulated cos I don’t need the insulation and don’t want the extra weight.
I've been using a Klean Kanteen along with a Hydro Flask for years and both of them do the same thing.....Keep my ice water cold. One is in the vehicle and the other on my bike. Can't say that one is better then the other , just that you can not go wrong with either one or both.
I use a Swell bottle for the most part, largely because the insulation is excellent but also I prefer the smaller mouthpiece. For my job I often don't get to keep as hydrated as I would like when I'm working so sometimes I need to be able to chug a lot of water and I just know that with the wider opening I would spill all over myself and I need to stay pretty polished while I'm at work. I also have a moustache so the smaller mouthpiece also prevents from my getting water running all around my face.
Hydroflask guy. All of the benefits you listed here because the two are virtually identical at a functional level. I go hydroflask because I like matte better than gloss (for grip but also aesthetics) and the hydroflask sip lip is a flip top whereas the klean kanteen is a screw mechanism that you have to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning.
@@LeahandLevi Klean Kanteen bottle also have matte versions (I own one and am so not throwing it down the stairs!), not just gloss, and mine came with a twist and drink lid that is also available separately for purchase and will definitely fit your bottle, should you wish to replace your lid.
I love my Chilly bottle as it has all the insulating and stainless steel properties of the Kleen Kanteen (which I used to have) but is easier to screw the top off and looks more like a fancy bottle which I appreciate...
if one of you people live in Europe, I can highly recommend the Dutch brand "Dopper" as an alternative. It is available in different designs (BPA-free recycable PP or aluminium), different sizes (450ml~15,8oz or 800ml~27oz) and you can buy it insulated or not (then it is lighter). Additionally you can also buy a separate cap for the bike, then you do not need a whole new bottle. PLUS the cap can be tranformed into a cup, so drinking from a bottle becomes more fancy ;) And not to mention that "Dopper" donates a certain percentage of their revenues to different clean water projects and actively participates in those
@@LeahandLevi Hey Levi, I didn't know how else to message you other than through the comments, but I am currently working on a video about moving on from my gatorade water bottle to a corkcicle inspired by this one. Would it be okay if I used some clips from this video?
I’m obsessed with my Klean Kanteens. I own ... too many, probably. The only other brand I have branched out to is Yeti, they make a 14 oz coffee mug with a handle that I just needed for my desk and Klean Kanteen has nothing like it.
i have a plum sport top klean kanteen and its like the best purchase ive ever made along with the rest of my eco-frindly products. its even better if you find one in stores so you can reduce the packaing you throw away!!
The gasket retain the smells and it stays for days. If you want to avoid this you have to buy a seperate lid for coffee or any strong liquid and for water
Nothing like a good old school Stanley thermos or mug especially second hand from the 1970’s or 80’s made in USA, stainless steel, vacuum sealed... so good.
I have an old version of this bottle that doesnt have the little planet logo. I'm absolutely obsessed with it. I really only enjoy water from stainless steel cups, but the outside of this is like a smooth enamel feel. Anyways its perfect 10/10
Hi, I really like this video. Like I've literally rewatched this video 10 times. I love water bottles, especially stainless. I have tons of them and my friends think I have a problem (I'm not addicted). Still, I've been looking for another one. I've looked at Hydro flask, Klean Kanteen, Mira, Simple Modern, Hydrocell (literally does the same as a Hydro flask. Name coincidence? I think not.) I recently checked out Tree Tribe. They apparently plant 10 trees for every purchase. So many to choose from. I found cheaper, yet well worth it alternatives to the Hydro Flask (No offense to anyone's flask, just saying) I'm in love with stainless and will spend the money whether I need to or not. I can't spend $40 when I don't have to. I'm lost on which to choose. Mira has a nice cherry blossom bottle. Ugh choices destroy me.
Personally I'm a Yeti fan I've got the 30oz in blue and it dose the job for me. I would like to get a hydro flask or maybe the yeti water bottle because the ramblers lid isn't the best.
I have two Yetis one 36oz in Stainless steal (which may have been a waste of money as I only really use it at home ) and one 18oz (perfect size like you said) in Navy but I kind of wish I got a Classic 20oz Klean Kanteen. They’re still nice bottles and keep things cold for a while and hot for a decent amount of time it’s just they feel bulky as hell plus the caps on the Klean Kanteens just seem nicer I’m sure it’s easier to use a karabiner. Yeti also seems to be becoming a scummy company so I’m getting remorse about giving them my money.
I use my 32oz nalgene almost everyday. Easy to keep clean (read: no straws, nozzles or mouthpieces to harbor mold or mildew). I also change out to my 32oz camelbak chute (again, the chute, specifically, because there are no hard to clean nooks and crannies). My only beef with the chute, is you have to be mindful that your closing the top correctly, or it can leak. I’ve had my eye on a hydro flask for awhile, since I don’t have an insulated water bottle yet. Maybe I’ll compare to this bottle before I buy. 👍
My mom bought me this really wacky water bottle don’t know the brand but, it’s foldable when empty, I use that everyday because of how easy to use and lightweight it is.
Contigo is what I use cause you can get a 3 pack from Costco for about $15 usd. They do break easily. I had one break on the lid in the first week. Dropped it in a parking lot. Found the sweet spot i guess. I broke another with a few years of use at College cause i missed my bag's mesh pouch and the bottom was busted after hitting the tile floor I just don't like hydro flask cause they are heavy and I dont like unscrewing the lid. Also with an open lid like that I will always spill on myself.
Okay so these are all fair points but nalgene has smaller bottels and their "on the fly" lid witch is way easyer to drink from. Altså stainless Steel does carrie oder and taste. Thats why Stanly just lounched the ceramic coated bottels. Also the clean kantine bottel is way heavier than nalgene.
Yes, I am aware that at 6:00 the audio does something weird for a couple seconds. Thanks to everyone who pointed that out, I guess that's just more proof that you don't need to be perfect to make a difference. :P haha
I love my Nalgene !

I use Zojirushi Tuff (the One Touch version) and hands down it's the best at keeping drinks cold/hot for a very, very long time. The other bottle I use is the Polar Bottle, with its soft plastic body I'm not worried it will break/crack like a Nalgene would.
Never heard of them! I’ll have to check it out!
Hydroflask!!

Yeah I guess that somehow happened by accident, ahhh the wonders of editing...
Wow I did NOT expect a response but I still love your vids regardless so keep it up 😁
Hahaha thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
I really thought, there was a hidden meaning to that.... " that brand really does not matter and that the important thing is sustainability" ! Either way I love your videos!
Nicholas Joseph somehow brand does matter to a lot people especially teenagers.
+1 for Klean Kanteen. Their brand seems to support more environmental movements by organizing and helping local events. Also, your creativity for video is way underrated! Good stuff man.

I seriously had a laugh attack when the bottle was rolling around on the ground
i use the 32 oz hydroflask! i love their company and i have so many of their products! they’re super cute and keep my water cold!
hyroflasks were started in Bend, Oregon, so they're hella popular here in Portland!
YEah I'd love to talk to them in person actually.
Klean Kanteens started in CHICO, CA... also home of the original Sierra Nevada Brewery!
I can't hear someone say, "I Like Beer" and not think of Kavanaugh. LOL!!!
Loooooool damn...
Ugh I know. I just wanna forget it all.
Same here!!!
it was kinda ridiculous
Ditto! Lol

HAhaha that last line made me lol. Thanks for the comment!
Agreed! I drink 1 64oz and 1 40oz or more every day and I'm right with you when you say you have to pee a lot haha!
literally, all of my friends make fun of me for always having to pee. It's like what I'm known for. That and being the mom of the group. lol
Dyani Same with me and my coworkers when I go to the bathroom like 6 times in 1 hour 😂 but hey, our bodies are so thankful for all of that hydration!
Exactly!!!! Hahaha

Tru Neilson so lucky!
Nice find!
I just picked up a Yeti 18 oz Tumbler, has the same Tumbler but they added a big gulp plastic cover. 12 hours in the sun still cold and with ice cubes not entirely melted.
I use my 20oz Hydroflask tumbler everyday! Awesome for hot tea, awesome for iced coffee, and especially awesome for drinking water easily in the car.
It hurt me to see the bottle roll and tumble 😭

In addition to keeping your liquids hot or cold, the main reason I like double walled insulated bottles is that there isn't any condensation.
I go with a 32 oz. hydroflask. It’s insulated, stainless steal, i really like the wide mouth lid and they have awesome colors to choose from.
This was so much fun to watch. Especially the part with bottle jumping on the stairs and falling in the backpack. 👍👍👍
Hi I want get one I want to target but I don’t know why is the cap making that squeaky noise ever time I open and close What can I do is that post to happen or it a Defect product
Found one of these in a river over 4 years ago been using it since!
But does it fit in a bike cupholder so it doesnt fall all about or make the horrible jangling noise?

Cool cool, still did not explain how it replaces a bottle with a sports lid...
I'm still rocking my plain ol' 32 oz. Nalgenes everyday, but, I tend to drink two of them a day. For active hydration, I love my Hydrapak soft flask.
I use a hydro flask for my everyday carry
I LOVE my hydroflask!!! I have 2 and plan to buy more for different occasions and different drinks. They have great size selections and colors and different mouth sizes and different lids. So definitely a great buy!
Very cool! Thanks for the comment!

I drink mostly just sparkling water and i can't find water bottle that doesn't leak what about this one? Experiences?
I saw 32oz klean kanteen it says 24 hours hot and 90 hours cold
Is that true if it is then klean kanteen best in keeping temperature
SIC water bottle for life ! Super good size, many colors, keeps things cold, fits in cup holder, and great for stickers 👍🏼

As soon you started pouring the beer in the bottle my brain went ‘This is the quality content I signed up for’
s'well is my go to for water, i love the sleek design. I purchased a klean kanteen 16oz about a month ago and I love it for my morning tea and coffee. These two brands will always be my favorites!
Nice! Glad you're into them!
Klean Kanteen is based out of my hometown so I may or may not have some bias when comparing them to other bottles.
takeya! exact same quality as hydroflask and i love mine to pieces
I have the 18oz rambler and I love mine soooo much. Its super durable (I cannot tell you how many times I've dropped it and there are no scratches)
i have 2 kleen kanteens and they are my babies! i couldn't imagine life w/o them
I bet you can do the same to a Nalgene bottle full with water and it would hold up perfectly fine.
Ok dang that’s a good point! I’ll have to check them out for sure!
You have to pay more for the flip lid though...
@@LeahandLevi Klean Kanteen bottle also have matte versions (I own one and am so not throwing it down the stairs!), not just gloss, and mine came with a twist and drink lid that is also available separately for purchase and will definitely fit your bottle, should you wish to replace your lid.
Klean Kanteen has matte colors
Irony Itch does it come with both lids when you purchase from Klean Kanteen website ?
I love my Chilly bottle as it has all the insulating and stainless steel properties of the Kleen Kanteen (which I used to have) but is easier to screw the top off and looks more like a fancy bottle which I appreciate...
Diehard fan of Hydro Flask. Keeps my drinks to cold it's crazy, plus love the warinty
if one of you people live in Europe, I can highly recommend the Dutch brand "Dopper" as an alternative. PLUS the cap can be tranformed into a cup, so drinking from a bottle becomes more fancy ;) And not to mention that "Dopper" donates a certain percentage of their revenues to different clean water projects and actively participates in those
Great stuff !...btw anyone know what's the raggae/ calypso instrumental ?...
The swell traveller is great, you can literally have ice cream in it, take it to the beach all day, and it'll still be 80% frozen, life changing.
I have a hydro flask for when I’m exercising and a yeti for everyday use. I absolutely love both and I don’t really use anything else for water.
Another quality video, thanks Levi! I need a new water bottle, so I’ll look into one now!
QuestionMyDecisions nice! It’s a great option!
@@LeahandLevi Hey Levi, I didn't know how else to message you other than through the comments, but I am currently working on a video about moving on from my gatorade water bottle to a corkcicle inspired by this one. Would it be okay if I used some clips from this video?
Nalgene makes a 16oz bottle, and Hydro Flask makes an 18oz bottle. You should review those.
I love klean kanteens especially for kids the sports cap is life.
I have two of them and they are the absolute best!!!
I use Kujaku! I use it for tea while in class and while eating lunch I use it for water!!
I used glass jars for a long time but stopped cause I always dropped them.
The gasket retain the smells and it stays for days. If you want to avoid this you have to buy a seperate lid for coffee or any strong liquid and for water
I use the Contigo isolated water bottle and honestly i go everywhere with it that’s it’s pretty much all beat up
Nothing like a good old school Stanley thermos or mug especially second hand from the 1970’s or 80’s made in USA, stainless steel, vacuum sealed... so good.
I don’t even need a water bottle and this video is a year old but I enjoyed it love the water bottle rolling away part the most
why the music suddenly went up at the end. kinda hard to listen to what you said.
Check pinned comment 👍
I have an old version of this bottle that doesnt have the little planet logo. I'm absolutely obsessed with it. I really only enjoy water from stainless steel cups, but the outside of this is like a smooth enamel feel. Anyways its perfect 10/10
Got my own Klean Kanteen 20oz bottle because of this video.
I have a off brand hydro flask, but I have a 40oz because I love getting a 30oz ice coffee and put in there and he it cold
I have klean kanteen of different sizes. I love their screw top that's interchangeable.
Love your videos. You are gonna get up to millions subs easily if you keep going on.
My mom bought me this really wacky water bottle don’t know the brand but, it’s foldable when empty, I use that everyday because of how easy to use and lightweight it is.
Nice! If you get the name let me know and i might check it out!
Contigo is what I use cause you can get a 3 pack from Costco for about $15 usd.
They do break easily. I had one break on the lid in the first week. Dropped it in a parking lot. Found the sweet spot i guess.
I broke another with a few years of use at College cause i missed my bag's mesh pouch and the bottom was busted after hitting the tile floor
I just don't like hydro flask cause they are heavy and I dont like unscrewing the lid.
Yeah it is heavier for sure, a great point!
Love your videos- thanks for inspiring me to take small steps to being more sustainable!!
Thanks man! So glad you’re enjoying it!
