I thought I read somewhere that CC didn’t play this solo. If you listen to all the other solos on the album it’s very different to this. But I could be wrong. Having said that.. this is probably one of my all time solos though too.
Marty, you really have mastered the perfect amount of teaching songs without going into too much theory and cutting out the blah blah blah. Thank you for that.
In a world where everything is written in minor leaving you feeling a bit down. CC and Poison were not afraid to write a fun party song in major, leaving you feeling good when it’s over. Wish I appreciated them more back in the day. Great lesson Marty
Thanks Marty. Timing is everything, just started learning this song this week. I know most of you can learn this quick but I’m not a quick learner, i struggle with every song lol
Well done Marty, despite the flak Poison have always been one of the big dogs in the kennel. Their songs have always been fun and cool to play, they are the AC/DC of hair metal.
I love this break down lesson Marty . Heck talk dirty to me is is one of my favorite song 🎵. Back when it was on guitar hero😝🤘🏻🤘🏻😄. Made really wanna play the darn thing for real . Love E flat tuning makes string bends easier 🤘🏻🤘🏻😎.
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker that's exactly what I thought when I first saw the vid for 'Talk Dirty To Me' in like..May of '87. They were more glammy in look back then but I was immediately drawn to his playing. That Flesh & Blood record they did in '90 is the best album they ever made, in my opinion.
Killer lesson Marty! I've always been a Poison fan. Saw them last in Concert in 2002 with Cinderella, Dokken, Slaughter, Faster Pussycat, & Quiet Riot. Killer Concert at an outdoor venue in Ohio. Cinderella stole the show in my opinion but Poison didn't disappoint. Seen them several times. CC is great. Thank again Marty.
Marty - you rock (literally). thank you for all the lessons and making it easy for us to pick up and play. Comes with work but you make it easier for all of us. Thank you Rockstar. If ever in the Phoenix area - drinks are on me bro.
Looking good! The Schecter E-1 FR S is one of my favorite guitars overall. Luv that beast! I prefer the green burst myself. But, the purple one is just as bad ass.
Another good lesson Marty. I think it’s best to tune to the record for those of us who want to learn songs exactly the way they’re played by the artist. Thank you.
Don’t have to tune down for this, move your fretting hand down, there’s lessons on here for it in standard to,doesn’t matter on this song there’s no open strings
Interestingly, two days ago I told my 11 year old he’s gotta try to learn this. So now he will be able to not learn it exactly. Great playing and thank you.
Love that Guitar !!! I still haven't pulled the trigger on buying one ? How does it differ from the Explorer ? Which one feels better to you ? (always tune to the song ? , just me)
Thank you! Well, to be honest it's pretty similar. The neck feels a little nicer on the Schecter ... I think it's Ebony. The carbon fiber binding is sweet. The pickups are a huge difference obviously with the sustaniac. The Schecter is just more modernized... which has its pros and cons. It's a wicked guitar in my opinion.
You need to stop bringing out all these super cool guitars! My wife is gonna stop believing me that they each only cost $250! Haha. Another great lesson!

Good video Indeed I agree with you there's a lot of stuff Bruce does that people miss out on. Why most people think he's just a hair metal guitarist nothing more. You bring out some very excellent nuances Are you a Nashville or Tennessee native or did you transplant yourself years back?
In the 80's when I didn't play guitar I hated cc . Now I have respect for him . Not the best , but I can remember every riff and solo... That's impressive.

All these great videos and I don't understand why you don't include a performance either at the end. I have one for Pat Benatar Hit Me with Your Best Shot and after the lesson he plays the song.
Great lesson! And very close sound. CC is a good player ( he was moving all stage and doing a good job) he was fun guitarist and very efficient. But all we know about his other issues. And it could be a perfect video if your guitar were intonate or tune properly. Every chord past 7 fret is out of tune. I’m sure that is a intonation stuff. But , a good lesson!
This band does some Poison covers. This isn't the best example, they've done better, but this is the most recent video from them. The kid playing guitar is really good for being 17. ua-cam.com/video/KbuzwHLYJJU/v-deo.html

Funny how when any guitarist goes to show how someone played it, they always and I mean always start with, most people play it wrong and im gonna show you the right way. Another thing all guitarist do, even when you just tuned the guitar with a digital tuner, what so they do??? They say oh, it’s a little out of tune 😂😂😂😂😂 You’ll notice it now, all the time
Just to clarify ... I was alive in the 80s and Poison was not a metal band. They were a glam rock band who everybody thought was queer as a football bat. They wore more hair spray, makeup, lipstick, and spandex than your sister.

No offense taken man. I got 13k (and climbing)views on this video cause a lot of dudes need the help. And actually like it. I need this channel for extra income so it's a win win. One of the very first songs l learned at age 7. Loved Poison as a kid.
The tone was very raw. It's what made the record great. Like with Too Fast for Love. Unrefined meant hungry and aggressive and it was awesome.
