I just found you on here. Some of those gravestones are beyond beautiful you have so much respect for the families I'm glad I stopped in I have now subscribed and I'm off to look for more videos of yours.
Dont apologize. People can be such idiots!! It made my boil too when you said the little girls doll house was robbed. Had to have been kids who's parents didnt take the time to teach them anything about respect and compassion. Pretty self explanatory if you ask me. The world today is so sad. Smdh
Thank you for watching. Glad you found my channel. I actually have a premiere of my new video tonight at six and check out my other stuff. Also have a great memorial day.
Discover the fascinating story of James "Doc" McGruder - an escaped slave from Kentucky who became a Union soldier as well as a beloved animal healer and successful jockey in Blackberry Village (now Elburn, IL). McGruder earned respect for healing farm animals, children's pets and even a crippled child - leaving an impact on his adopted community that transcended racial and cultural attitudes of the time. His grave in Blackberry Cemetery is marked by two headstones, including one purchased by the many children he befriended. Presented by Donna Blackenship, local historian and former Kaneland school district fifth grade teacher. Birthdate unknown - Died July 18, 1894
Thank you so much for that information. Very interesting story I will revisit that grave soon now that I have that information I can do a better job, I was just going by what I saw on the stone at the time
Yes, I will. Somebody was driving in the cemetery and I kind of rushed through that but yeah I know what you’re saying will do. I know I said 1994 instead of 1894 thank you for watching
Interesting, but you need to be more careful reading dates. At least twice you said 1838 when stone said 1888. You also skipped reading one child's name completely when showing a family monument. Just slow down & read to yourself before out loud, maybe. I had to go back & make sure I was seeing things right.
In Nelson County KY there is a Thomas Nelson HighSchool. I an Chrome as to we're this grave yard is. I don't think it is the Prostant/Catholic one in Bardstown, is it? Also the Magurtor name is in Nelson & BullittCounties.
@@shawnarthurwells5385 thank you so much for that information that I was unaware of. I’m so sorry that happened on my condolences to the family. Thank you for watching. I appreciate it.
Through an online obituary for Rebecca Jean Sparks it says she died from a one car accident. At the time she was a research chemist for Miles Laboratory and died two weeks before she was to receive her Master’s Degree. All the dates, names and location match this monument but in the obituary she has the married last name of Farmwald (shows Rebecca Jean Sparks Farmwald) though no mention of a husband at the time of death. Unfortunately, there was no information about the little doggie pictured who looks so sweet and must have been cherished to be part of the monument. She was survived by her parents, two brothers, some Grandparents and additional extended family members at the time of her passing. Thank you for sharing these wonderful monuments and statuary. Please forgive me if I’ve incorrectly attributed the information to this monument. I tried to cross reference the information. If anyone has different information I would welcome knowing that.
Maybe those people with the train 🚂 and picture of a train were involved in the train industry - engineer, etc. My son’s grandfather on his dad’s side had something to do with trains, but I can’t remember exactly what it was he did.
FU UA-cam CENSORS excellent content 👍 Talk about strange happenings in the cemetery. I worked for telecommunications company and when Verizon was pulling out all the copper lines I had three customers who had live phones INSIDE the mausoleums insisted on paying for fiber so that they would be a live phone inside the mausoleum. At a cost of over $3,000 per install. None of them would actually come up with a reason why they insisted that 🙄
This spooky but what a great ideal it is kinda cool though well this way they don't need security at he cemetery, How big is the monument to fit the man?
I work in Batavia, drive past that cemetery every day on my way home. Didn't know he was there until I drove through. Interesting what's hidden in these cemeteries. Thank you for watching
You even said that David trawler died in 1922. He died ! 2022.if he was born in 1966 his death in 1922 wouldn’t work. But all good I just found your site and so far love your content. I was born October 31st 1972 and absolutely love cemeteries and hearses and caskets. Mortuaries Love it all
There is a thing called cemetery etticute, it's disrespectful to walk on the deceased person's grave. Please in future videos take the time to refrain from walking on the Graves by walking between them and give at least 5 foot at the end to prevent walking on there grave. Otherwise nice video.
Thank you for watching, I do appreciate your comment, I do try to show respect so yes I will. I used to be a cemetery worker so mowing we go over everyone's graves when doing maintenance. Its something I will pay more attention to yes
Tombstone, headstone, or gravestone are all proper terms to describe where someone is buried. Go ahead and Google that I’m correct. All caskets and coffins are made of wood. The difference between them is a coffin has six sides. A casket has four you can buy a coffin that’s made of metal but most are made of wood.
That is the coolest tomb ever! I love the things you find. Thanks so much for showing the rest of us. ❤😊

The metal ones are called Zinkers and were sold by traveling salesmen as an affordable alternative to stone. They were sold until about 1914 or so.

This is my first time seeing this! This cemetery is Awesome! RIP everyone buried there!
You're reading a few of the years wrong. Take your time.
Yes, I will. Somebody was driving in the cemetery and I kind of rushed through that but yeah I know what you’re saying will do. I know I said 1994 instead of 1894 thank you for watching
You are reading the dates wrong and mispronouncing names. That wasn't a mustang, it was a Camaro.
New subscriber here. I’m impressed with your style. You fill a unique niche, in a very respectful way.
Thank you , so much for watching, also for the kind words
RIP Shipmate, thanks for your service.
I’m a new subscriber. You’re on the right track, for sure. Please slow down with the dates (years, misquoted).
The Adkins head stone probably has an picture taken from an airplane & it was somehow put on the headstone. It's amazing that they can do that.
Lovely video, looks like a glorious day for cemetery oddities.
I love this tomb how unusual I have honestly never seen anything like this thanks for showing us this.

That statue was so lifelike

Will do, yeah I kind of rushed through this one so I agree. I didn’t think it was going to get this much attention lol thanks for watching.
Great video!

Those metal headstones were cast in Zinc for there resiliency to the weather and environment.

Britt was his son and Rudolph and Louise were his parents
I notice the scrolls on the side of the Nelson marker. There is a Bible named the Thomas Nelson Bible...I wonder...
Funny you said that was wondering the same. Tried finding an answer and nothing
That was her sister and brother in law on one side. He is entombed next his parents.
Thank you so much for that info, I was wondering
Location is important
The medal markers are made of zinc.
A Zinker (company name than made the zinc tombstones) are not seen often anymore though they are usually in excellent shape.

If there loved one comes back to life they can call. But they would have to figure out how to get out of a sealed coffin. Yes very strange
Whoa, there's a man standing in that tomb!!!!
The man standing in his tomb is that a statue of him .. very interesting Hello from Australia 🎉 🌹🌻
Yes, it is of him
This spooky but what a great ideal it is kinda cool though well this way they don't need security at he cemetery, How big is the monument to fit the man?

Great video
Those metal markers are made from zink and called zingers! New technology of the day
And he appears incarcerated.
That one year wasn’t 1922 it was 2022..
Yes I was rushing, so need to slow down when reading. I don't mind criticism. Don't like mean criticism thank you for watching
If a cemetery can be cozy that place is. I bet he picked that out years before he died,

Wow!!!
Spent a fortune on that
Interesting.
Britt is a female name.
Not always
Exactly. Don't say that to FOTF. We love our Brittan "Britt". He is one cool guy.
huh?
The proper term is headstone not tombstone. Like calling a casket a coffin. Coffin is a wood box. Get the point?
