This video is all about my not so secret love, PEANUT BUTTER! In my 3+ years of living in Japan, I've found this solution to be the best/cheapest solution for quality peanut butter. There are some import stores that may have some good selection, but they are still not very common and this solution works no matter where you live in Japan, so I thought I'd share my dirty little secret. Links for each peanut butter I mentioned are in the video in the video description.
Dude thank you so much my friend who lives in Japan is always complaining about how hard it is to get peanut butter. I think this is going to make a great Christmas present!
If you have a Kaldi nearby, it solves almost all your foreign product needs. Including peanut butter. You can also get kinda homemade peanut butter at a lot of markets and I had really awesome ones.
Thanks for the tip! I haven't been there yet, but it looks like there's one at the Aeon nearby me, so I'll have to go check it out! There's definitely some good homemade peanut butter around, but I've found it to be too expensive considering the amount of peanut butter I consume haha
Two Wheel Cruise yeah Kaldi is a kind of import shop that is basically everywhere and has all the „famous“ products from all over the world, think German sausage, Italian wine and spaghetti sauce, Thai curry sauce etc
Just looked it up, they apparently have some Vietnamese products as well so my wife should be happy. And quite a few shops around Nagoya. I usually go to Yamaya for foreign goods, but no variety of peanut butter there :/
You should try dutch/european peanut butter, it's just ground peanuts and salt. You can even make it yourself easily with any kind of grinder if you run out and can't find any locally.
So Gyomu now carries a Japanese brand of peanut butter (both smooth and crunchy) with only three ingredients - peanuts, salt, and sugar and it's about 250 yen.
Someone else mentioned it below, but Kaldi Coffee farm stocks a 100% peanuts peanut butter for around ¥600. I don't remember the name but I think it's an American brand maybe
Hey Cruise, I love peanut butter too. One day my wife homemade some, and it was better than store bought ones. She said it was super easy to make. My favorite was Cashew butter, because my son is allergic to peanuts. The cashew butter was betterthan peanut butter. Anyway thanks for the video. Take it easy.
Man ya killing me with the thumbnails. I don't blame you tho lol. Quality of these videos is skyrocketing like your sub count! OH! And only 3 years? Feels like so much longer... Hydrogenated oils are the devil I hope "cerial" was a typo or you're legit forgetting english. I eat jif natural. It's so good and same ingredients as yours. peanuts, tiny bit of oil and sugar. "gonna make today's video short" *8 minute video* DON'T FORGET TO LIKE COMMENT SUSKIBE! I DO THAT TO EVERY 2WHEEL CRUISE VIDEO!
I've only just begun with my thumbnail game 😅😉 It probably feels longer for you since I've been gone from MI for way longer than that.. Making all of these subtitles takes a bunch of time, so I just kinda rush through them and some small mistakes are bound to happen. :/ But I am also forgetting some English haha Haven't seen any Jiff natural, but I used to eat it when I could find it in the US.
It's not as savory as no sugar, but I wouldn't say it's very sweet. I mostly eat it while riding, so I like the extra little kick of sugar, but a different brand might be better if you want something more savory. There's a bunch of other options on iherb, but I prefer the non-stir type like this one.
There's a natural peanut butter everywhere in the Philippines. I live in NYC and Lilly's peanut butter is more natural than Skippys or Jiff, and it has stronger peanut taste too.
I used to be more picky when I was focused on training/racing, but now I don't make any specific food choices before a ride. But my breakfast is usually always the same, either oatmeal or egg sandwiches. Before a long ride, I just make sure to eat a lot of carbs the day before, as well as hydrate myself.

Don't travel without it haha

Thank you
I won't settle for anything but "Adams® 100% Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter", lucky for us Costco Canada does carry it.
haven't seen/eaten that in years, but I used to love that brand back when I could find it 😂😂
How sweet is that peanut butter?
Australian peanut butter has very little sugar and is more savory normally 1g per serving.

first time i've heard of a peanut cream.
i don't think they (iHerb) have a free shipping option for the Philippines though, bummer
You're better off not knowing about it, it's gross.
What's the peanut butter selection like in the Philippines?

Nice, they ship to China too! Awesome :)
Didn't know that, awesome!
brought mine from home :)
what kind of food are you eating before a long ride?
