What are we supposed to do if myBmw app isnt available in our country? Is there anything we can do?
Very nicely done!!! We've ordered a vehicle that's being shipped in from out-of-state, so I think we're on our own on getting everything set up! Your video is perfect for this...and I can probably get it all done when we're doing our first charge :)

Nice and pretty good informative and useful video. I did all these by myself, except being able to set up the second key linking to another profile. Watching this helped me resolve that. So basically the second person needs to have their own myBMW app use the same VIN and set it up for the second key. As a suggestion you could explain that better or show how the second key is setup.
Great point Dealz Guy. Yes completely true that the 2nd profile should have its own MYBMW account with their own username and password, as you mentioned. Will learn from the feedback!

@@BeamerView Right now I’m driving a 2022. X5 45e. I took delivery in November and after driving it awhile I wanted to go full electric. I’m not looking to save the world, certainly not to save money. I checked out the Tesla X and thought the iX was so much better. I ordered it in red with black leather interior. Got the Bowers and Wilkins sound system, 22” wheels and every option available. Just can’t wait for delivery.
@Marc Greenberg you spec'd it out amazingly, well done! Idk if you've heard the bowers and wilkins, but honestly it was the BEST sound system I've heard in any car. There are speakers inside the headrests too so you get the full 4D sound. Amazing happy for ya!

Does the digital key work with android phones? My car should be hear next month hopefully. It was loaded last week on the boat. Mine is a 2022 m440i gran coupe in San remo green.
I believe it should now. I saw a video showing it working for android phones just 3 months ago on BMWs page! Congrats!

Love your video! We just took delivery of our iX50 and stupidly picked settings from BMW Cloud. Is there a way to go back to that page and use Current Settings? Thanks!
Thanks Jonathon! I do not believe you can switch back but best thing to do is to recreate the bmw Id/profile. There should be a way to do that. I believe if you go back into the BMW ID app it should be in there.
I hear Andriod Auto mentioned frequently, but my 202 X1 2.0 only displays Apple CarPlay. I was told by the dealer, BMWs do not support Android Auto.
Android auto is for newer BMWs they began to introduce this on 2022 vehicles.
Can 2 people on different phones have different accounts/log-ins using the same VIN (Same car), when setting-up your 'my BMW App' (Like my Wife and me)?
Yesss, you can. Just make sure you set up the primary first.
This depends on the market. For instance in Japan this does NOT work.

Yes. Wifi cannot work with those. Since both those functions rely on connecting through the wifi system.

Not sure i agree on activating the key on my Iphone 13, just in case someone steals the phone … they have access to the car, even worse, they can start and drive off.

I prefer using the display key… and in case the battery is dead, i can always enter my X5 with the app.
True. They do have to know your phones password. You can also deactivate your phone from a laptop so no one can use it.
I’d say BMW has done good research, you can even track ur car with gps or have BMW do it for you :)
Yeah, but in times like these (corona/facemask, so no facial recognition) putting the code in (in public) is something I do more often then i used to do.

Hey Matt, you can use regular bluetooth and still have the ability to answer phone calls or play music through the vehicle. Here in the US Carplay was subscription based for 2019 and 2020 vehicles. All them now come included, im not sure if that's the same on your end. It is a great feature to have and it's something I would purchase.

Does not, this system is more for 2022 - 2024 vehicles.
Can 2 phones be paired simultaneously?

How do I set up my phone Contacts
If you are connected to apple carplay or android auto, it will only show your contacts in those, since the contacts get uploaded.
Contacts can only be seen in the car system if you are not using those features.

It’s gotten a bit easier now. BMW makes some changes to their software here and there.
After 2 yr and half bmw they caught all my connection… they said for order for you to use back is only way is paying WTF💁🏻💁🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻
Yes, the connected drive services are 4 years from when the vehicle went into service.

If you are trying to change the name on your BMW ID or Profile. You either have to call BMW ASSIST to do it, or a really weird way is to download the app called BMW GUIDE and change it in there.

@@_tonsky_ She would have to make her own username and password in her own my BMW app, then go ahead and put in the vin number to add the vehicle into the app. You then go into the BMW ID menu, add BMW ID, and scan the QR code that pops up on the screen. That should create her own profile/ID. During this process just make sure her own key is in the vehicle, and not yours, as the ID saves to the key.

It's free for the first 4 years from the life of the vehicle.
Does not work with my 2021 320i
BMW doesn't have a 320i that was made in 2021, I believe the last year for it was about 2018.
If you do have a 2021 3 series, it should have iDrive 7, which should work as described in the video.

I am purchasing my 2022 iX xDrive 50 in Sept direct from the dealer, a demo car fully loaded. I also pre ordered an i4 last year but it won't be delivered until some time next year. I can't wait that long as I have an i3 with extended lease. When that i4 arrives, I'm sure it will be snatched up. So I have been watching as many UA-cam videos on the iX as I can regarding functionality, charging and operating I Drive 8. You are very good with your videos, however, one very annoying thing you do and probably don't realize how often you do this. You say "You Guys" over and over. I'm not a guy and it is not necessary to refer to your viewers as anything. Just explain your show and features as you've been doing but please be aware not to say "You Guys", it is terrible grammar and very annoying and unnecessary. I look forward to catching up on all your videos though. Thanks
