- Most of this Cine Film was taken in Worksop from 1957, a couple of clips are at Relations in Leeds and I clip outside my Mum's other Shop in Baslow, I'd only just got this Cine Camera, didn't realise you should hold them still and move slowly, but this is the only footage I've got of some of the family, most of my Dads family came from Leeds and there are a few clips of when they visited us in Worksop.
There are some old Family photos at the end of the video.
Thanks for sharing your memories with us. My Dad always had a Super 8 with him but never developed a single film. All sadly got lost over the years.
Excellent Rod. My mother could remember the Bean family and could relate to previous posts. She has now passed but watching this I think about our time on Thevesdale Lane, we moved in to No39 around 62, much of that landscape is so familiar.
this reminds me of my youth on the outskirts of middlesbrough
Great videos you and the other Bean have put on here ❤
Wonderful scenes of old Worksop. It's rare to see colour film from those days. It's usually black and white newsreel, about some "event", so it's nice to see just ordinary people doing ordinary things.
Thanks for sharing. Love seeing old film of my town.

These videos are from tape. How did you get them digitised?
Are you any relation to Sean Bean the actor?
Hey rod did u know anybody Rodgers around that time?
mitchel Downs my last name is Rodgers

Gosh, you must be 77 if I'm correct?
I new a John Rodgers who lived on Thievesdale Lane, he was a bit older than me, they had a dog a wire haired terrier, it used to chase me or anyone that walked past their house, he also had a horrible Jackdaw which used to swoop down Land on your head and peck you.
Does the name Gerald rodgers ring a bell? He lived on theivesdale lane living on the right side as your going up from the cannon pub the very end house
Or Marjorie mills?
