A mental health disorder characterised by feelings of worry, anxiety or fear that are strong enough to interfere with one's daily activities.
Examples of anxiety disorders include panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Symptoms include stress that's out of proportion to the impact of the event, inability to set aside a worry and restlessness.
Treatment includes counselling or medication, including antidepressants.

I read that if a person has acute or chronic worry, depression, anxiety or panic disorder (such as fear of death when diagnosed with some incurable disease and when the doctor says that the person will not live for more than three years), it causes increase in his/her pulse rate (even if Arjuna tablets are already taken daily as tonic for the heart as prescribed by the doctor) and that the pulse rate will remain high until the worry, depression, anxiety or panic disorder is treated and cured. Is this true?

I read that when someone has intense anxiety such as fear of death, his/her resting heart rate and Blood Pressure will be increased and that these would stay elevated until his his/her intense anxiety is removed, although the person may be taking medication for high blood pressure and medication to keep the heart strong. Is this true?
If the intense anxiety is chronic, lasting a few days, will the increased heart rate and increased Blood Pressure also continue during these few days?
