@@bhuvibhoons4111 Aint nothing nutritious about fruit juices except for the fact that they provide some vitamins and minerals depending on the fruit. But because you typically use 5-6 servings of fruit just to make 1 glass of fruit juice youre consuming a lot of sugar in one serving which you usually cant when you consume whole fruits since they have sufficient fiber to make you full in just 1 servings. Since you consume so much of fruit sugar in such a small time frame through juice your blood sugar also increases pretty fast as compared to the whole fruit and also increases your weight if you consume it everyday
Here is your quick 2-minute summary of the video😀 - A low-carb diet works complimentary to intermittent fasting. - It's about controlling insulin. Carbohydrates produce the most insulin, followed by protein and finally fat. - Frequent interval eating, frequent spikes. Instead, consolidate meals. Eating window is to be restricted. - - - - Fitter person has fewer insulin spikes. - Nutrition, mealtime and fitness level are key to containing insulin spikes - Insulin resistance leads to Obesity, Type 2 diabetes, high triglycerides, High uric acid, Fatty liver, and PCOS in females. - Black patches around neck and under the arm are first sign of Insulin resistance. - To absord high-carb food, pancreas secretes high insulin. Excess insulin converts all food to fat. Insulin-resistant people will convert some portion of carbs to fat instead fully converting to energy - Remidies to avoid high insulin secretion: complex carbs, adequate protein, healthy fats, and adequate fibre - Type-2 diabetes starts as early as 5 years in a kid - Don't force-feed the children. Employ innovative ways to include healthy food in children's diet - Let kids eat from our plate. Avoid distractions such as mobile and tablet screens - Feed when the kid is hungry, except malnourished kids. malnourished kid can have few meals as long as nutrition is on par. - A low-carb diet is less than 50 grams of carb per day. A moderate-carb diet is 100-150 grams of any form of grains - Better fat hierarchy: MUFA>PUFA>Saturated Fatty acids - Omega-6 fatty acids are pro-inflammatory.
I could see dr.pal who's very knowledgeable still listens very humbly from Dr.Arun who is also a well talented and awareness creator for our lifestyle... Tnq both of them for this video 🎉
The black patch behind the neck is true in my case. I had it when I was a teenager. At the age of 28 I got diabetes. By following Dr. Pal started IF, eating consciously with exercise and doing quiet well now. 😊
1:15:12 ...when the Palmoil we get in market is not of high quality (since its not taken out of kernel, as i understand) and its imported from other soil, isn't it better to stick to the oils our ancestors used!
Very much needed podcast for our Tamil/Indian community mainly for parents. In my view IF is a good protocol mainly for people struggling to practice calorie restriction and snacking. It’s much more disciplined approach more than any magic formula.
Thank you so much Dr Pal. Since I followed you I’m doing intermittent fasting just 12 hrs only. Within 3 months I lost weight and my HBA1C was 51 in December but this month it has gone down to 46! My sleeping problem and reflux also much better than before. Thank you so much🙏God bless you.
Love to see Arun sir! He is the primary reson for my reversal of pcos, pre-diabetes and other things. He is definitely one in a million, I dont know why other doctors cant think like Arun sir!
Super knowledgeable talking with Dr Arun . Hearty thanks to Dr Pal. Actually I am following IF with moderate carb and exercises (walking playing badminton)diet for the last ten months and lost about 20 kg. Ilwas 99 now 79 . I thank you both from my bottom of my heart ❤️. Expecting an English book soon . Thank u ❤️❤️❤️
This Duo of Docs of our Tamil nadu state are really dedicated, devoted and determined to enrich our community with all knowledge of medical conditions and they are breaking it up & simply explaining in layman's words to spread the awareness of all lifestyle disorders n diseases in this modern world! Dr.Arun is an awesome, amazing personality! Dr. Pal..is positive, powerful, and provides great wisdom to us❤😍🙌🫶👏😊🙏keep doing the great services! Mikka Nandri Docs! God bless🙏
Great conversation I was also a victim of insulin resistance. By God grace I am out of it with good and timely nutritional habits. I had similar patches for many years and couldn't recognize it as IR... now no more patches, no carb craving... maintaining disciplined nutrition.
Wonderful conversation by two doctors on healthy eating. It's very nice it's in English. Lot of other language people also can benefit. I regularly follow Dr.Arun and Dr.Pal vedios and have helped me a lot to improve my healthy eating and healthy life style. Defenitly I experience the more fibre food makes so much change with positive mental well being also. I take wheat Bran flakes a small portion along with fruits and veg to reach the daily needed fibre intake. People allergic to wheat can try oats bran.
More parents need to watch this! I also had dark patches on my neck.. I used to get teased for not bathing.. little did I or my parents know at the time that I was pre-diabetic. Dr Pal, my niece hated vegetables when she was young. Until one day.. she came back from school in Belgium, and in one of the classes the kids made roasted vegetables.. and the class had that for lunch. She came home and told her mom to make the same thing. Overnight she fell in love with carrots and broccoli 😊 Peer pressure also has an impact on what the child will and will not like, and fortunately in Europe kids eat well. On the other hand, we have parents globally who seem to project their likes and dislikes on the child. Therefore when school serves roast chicken and salad for lunch, we proudly say, no my child won’t eat that, I’ll send mutton biriyani 😁
till now i thought that in childhood i didnt take good bath i used to play in dust thats why i have this problem of neck and arms blacks ..even my knee and toes were black ...now i reslised the reason .i used to take 7-8 spoons of sugar everyday during childhood ..till now i hve bad habits ..
I was diagnosed with diabetes 10 years ago I was 45 then,I’am 55 now and I have been taking a low carb diet 2 meals a day, brunch at 09:00am and dinner at 5 pm ,I.e 16 hrs fasting and 8 hrs eating window and I have maintained an Hba1c of 6 to 7,I can reassure that this does work.
When you go on a very low carb diet, you will feel hungry while the body is adjusting. So it's best to drink some coffee or tea, water, milk etc. I am on a very low carbohydrate diet to lose weight and crave to have something sweet after a meal. I find that drinking green tea or watery coffee after a meal helps.

Dr Pal I'm already a huge fan of yours and I've begun following the sarcadian rhythm and reaped huge benefits. I've also started practising Yogasanas. It's already helped me lose 5 kilos in a month. This podcast with Dr. Arun has come as a boon because even though I follow the sarcadian rhythm, I do have carbs for my 2 meals. I now understand how carbs play a role in slowing down the fat burning Ketosis process. Thanks loads for all the info. You doctors are the real heroes. Cannot thank you enough!!!! 😊😊😊😊
One of the best and most amazing doctor to have appeared in Dr Pal’s series. His breakdown of foods is so practical and truly a godsend to the common man and community. Looking forward to his book Health in a plate, when it comes out. 👌👏

yes absolutely true. All my childhood I had horlicks, complan, glucose d, kissan jam and big portion sizes all the sugary things .I feel sorry for the entire generation, because it’s lack of knowledge on food we eat and the big corporate companies push the ads to promote their bad products! Imagine the amount of sugar we had every days for years together! Thanks to all the health dietitians for educating me. 🙏 eat within calorie limit, increase physical activity. portion 50% protein 25% fats and fiber 25% carbs

Also many think that carbs are bad. it is fuel for brain functioning. For all the dear brothers and sisters out there trying to cut carbs and doing crazy calorie cutdown for weight loss (once I was in same boat) remember if it took 25-30 years gradually to gain weight wouldn’t it take 2 solid years to loose fat? trust the process ‘eat within calorie limit with macros, increase physical activity’

@doctorarunkumar and @DrPal I have gone through whole discussion. Thanks a million for these inputs. I am mother to 11 years old boy. We are vegan. I also have doubt whether to give Soy/tofu to my son. Please clarify. Thanks again for beautiful explanation with multiple scenarios. You both covered are diamonds for parents ❤

no food after 6 pm is bs in my opinion. As long as youre eating healthy, keeping a gap of atleast 2-3 hours between your last meal and bedtime you should be fine
What would be very helpful is showing the right portion sizes for children. Most of us try to feed our children adult portions and worry that they are not eating.
this doctor arunkumar is right. i follow him now. i did keto diet and lost 60kg in 3 months. low carb healthy fat is the way. Dr.Pal , u should practice his advise. notice he did not say the word GUT once... thats not urgent important for our ppl... do more videos about LCHF for our ppl and get millions of ppl live changed. no joke.
I don't think that's healthy to lose 60kg in 3 months ! Our entire family did keto in 2017 for half a year and lost between 10-20kg each person. It's not practical to make Keto it a lifestyle forever. Also we don't know the long term effect. Animal products cause sooo much harm to our body , environment and cruelty also.. Plant based is the sustainable future of the world.
Dr.palanivel if possible please make a podcast with film director vetrimaran, He also used to share lot of things about good food and healthy living in the last couple of years
A very useful discussion to all of us ...the discussion is hovering around childhood pediatric diabetic issues and its understanding. This is the need of the hour and thank both the doctors for providing valuable insights! God bless you!
Hello DR Pal.. my small request can you have a podcast with sadhguru about how soil and gut are related cuz in both max same process happens . And also i think its right tym...hope u accept my request 😊
Great conversation. I had marks on the back of my neck when I was young and I was around 100 kg when I was in my 10th grade. Now I know why 😢 by luck I was put in a boarding school which brought my weight down. I 37 now and asked my mother why they gave me so much liberty in buying snacks etc. Unfortunately they thought those were the "good" stuffs. I am sure there are a lot of parents who think the same now.
Very nice podcast. Dr Arun Kumar can you please tell Dr Pal not to propagate eating idly is healthy as idly doesn’t have much protein as well as fat and eating just 2 idlies spikes the insulin in a non diabetic person up to 84 in CGM and most of the good bacteria’s are killed while steaming. Many kids are becoming diabetic by eating idlies with kara chutney every day in the morning and mothers are thinking that’s the healthiest food in the planet and a doctor in social media promoting idlies without knowing how it impacts the blood sugar is not correct. Please look in to it
Home made idly with urad dhal has protein. I also use GM, no such spikes. Hotel idlies are totally different. 5-6 idlies are too much quantity. I cannot eat more than 3 to 4 idlies.
@@WESTNORTH123some thing just home made doesn’t make it different. Please eat 3 home made idlies with sambar and chutneys and check it in CGM. Body doesn’t know it’s home made it will spike your blood sugar levels. As Doctor said eat 2 eggs and check it in CGM. So called healthy food idly will have a worst spike. So my point is feeding 2-3 home made idlies every day in the morning is not a right choice and also the ratio to home made idly 3:1 that’s 3 cups of rice and 1 cup of uradhal. The protein bio availablility of uradhal to our body is so less . It’s almost like eating like a carb dense food . Eating idlies doesn’t add any value to kids health. South Indian mothers proudly feed kids idly thinking that they are making a healthy choice. This is nothing to do with culture and heritage. I am a person who adopts to what is good for me and family.
@@Chitravittal everyday is not correct 👍. Also depends on the activity we do till lunch. Body or brain doesn't want to know it's home made or hotel. Our cells will know upon metabolism. I mean to say that home made idly has more urad dhal than hotel idlies. More urad dhal means more protein, less spikes.
@@WESTNORTH123more uradhal means more protein is a misconception. The protein in the uradhal doesn’t have all the essential amino acids and bioavailability to the body is so less. It’s like eating a carb dense food and which is not a right choice for a breakfast, as we all South Indians proudly used to believe. Ones in a while for the taste of it we can enjoy but keeping in mind that it’s going to spike our insulin.

- It's about controlling insulin. Carbohydrates produce the most insulin, followed by protein and finally fat.
- Frequent interval eating, frequent spikes. Instead, consolidate meals. Eating window is to be restricted. - - - - Fitter person has fewer insulin spikes.
- Nutrition, mealtime and fitness level are key to containing insulin spikes
- Insulin resistance leads to Obesity, Type 2 diabetes, high triglycerides, High uric acid, Fatty liver, and PCOS in females.
- Black patches around neck and under the arm are first sign of Insulin resistance.
- To absord high-carb food, pancreas secretes high insulin. Excess insulin converts all food to fat. Insulin-resistant people will convert some portion of carbs to fat instead fully converting to energy
- Remidies to avoid high insulin secretion: complex carbs, adequate protein, healthy fats, and adequate fibre
- Type-2 diabetes starts as early as 5 years in a kid
- Don't force-feed the children. Employ innovative ways to include healthy food in children's diet
- Let kids eat from our plate. Avoid distractions such as mobile and tablet screens
- Feed when the kid is hungry, except malnourished kids. malnourished kid can have few meals as long as nutrition is on par.
- A low-carb diet is less than 50 grams of carb per day. A moderate-carb diet is 100-150 grams of any form of grains
- Better fat hierarchy: MUFA>PUFA>Saturated Fatty acids
- Omega-6 fatty acids are pro-inflammatory.
Thank you so much for the summary
Thanks ❤

One of the best podcast. Dr. Arun Kumar sir's in-depth explanation was top-notch. Thank you Dr. Pal for this discussion
Follow LCHF as well. It would be the best for you.
@@prasadr3059 Thank you. I'll try my best. 👍

சிறப்பான விழிப்புணர்வு வலையொளி (podcast). நன்றிகள் பல, இரு மருத்துவர்களுக்கும்.

I was also a victim of insulin resistance. By God grace I am out of it with good and timely nutritional habits.
I had similar patches for many years and couldn't recognize it as IR... now no more patches, no carb craving... maintaining disciplined nutrition.
How long did it take to get rid of the patches.. Could u plz answer?

Wonderful conversation by two doctors on healthy eating.
It's very nice it's in English.
Lot of other language people also can benefit.
I regularly follow Dr.Arun and Dr.Pal vedios and have helped me a lot to improve my healthy eating and healthy life style.
Defenitly I experience the more fibre food makes so much change with positive mental well being also.
I take wheat Bran flakes a small portion along with fruits and veg to reach the daily
needed fibre intake.
Highly responsible Drs.... Long live both of You.... You both are creating a healthy society.
Don't U feel hungry..I am hungry all the time
When you go on a very low carb diet, you will feel hungry while the body is adjusting. So it's best to drink some coffee or tea, water, milk etc. I am on a very low carbohydrate diet to lose weight and crave to have something sweet after a meal. I find that drinking green tea or watery coffee after a meal helps.
@@mayamaker8841 thank you so much for replying

Fantastic discussion 👏 we want more of this. Dr Arun is very knowledgeable with a hint of humor. And dr pal as always charming and humble
Two great human being rather than suggesting medicines and blaming parents.. Very casual talk on life style changes and diet practice and peer pressure problems.. Thanks a lot

Finally an useful conversation. Dr.Pal do this more often and pls stop giving platform to pseudo specialists.
Who is the pseudo specialist that he interviewed?
Dr Arun- you have said EVERYTHING as I have practiced, experienced and teach.
Fantastic.
I'm now convinced that you're a LCHF/ Keto practitioner.
yes absolutely true.

key factor here is ‘portioning’ I cannot be eating lots of chicken, cutting carbs and think that Im healthy. everything must be in daily calorie limit
with good macro composition!
Also many think that carbs are bad. it is fuel for brain functioning.
For all the dear brothers and sisters out there trying to cut carbs and doing crazy calorie cutdown for weight loss (once I was in same boat)
remember if it took 25-30 years gradually to gain weight wouldn’t it take 2 solid years to loose fat?
trust the process
‘eat within calorie limit with macros, increase physical activity’

no food after 6 pm is bs in my opinion. As long as youre eating healthy, keeping a gap of atleast 2-3 hours between your last meal and bedtime you should be fine
Nice to listen to two Doctors talk very useful things for the health of mankind.

Do you practice LCHF = low carb high FAT?
Or was it low carb high protein?
Huge difference between both

Elarukkum puriyanum so English best!
English is better for the serious podcast. We need another podcast in Tamil with all the nakkal and humor.
@@Chitravittal any alternate breakfast option you suggest than idly and dosa.
