That was so cool you went to the filming locations. Jaws was and still is one of the best films ever made.
Watched this the other night on 4k and was blown away by the quality ! its like watching a movie that was filmed maybe 10 years ago max , looks so nice.
My favourite film too ! I stayed on Martha's Vineyard for a week in 2018 to celebrate my 50th birthday 🎂
Jumped off jaws bridge , got a tattoo of the island and visited John Belushi's grave on the day of my birthday ! Then got passed in The Ritz club in Oak Bluffs where I stayed ! Happy days ! 👍
Great job buddy. Jaws is one of my favorite movies as well.
i love these location jaws legendary movie
This is cool! I'm a fan from UK and our family doctor was Robert Shaw's brother and still lives local to me. Robert's son Ian is also making London west end show The Shark is Broken soon about making of film and plays his dad in it.
A bucket lister! Jaws! My favorite horror movie!
Good job. The vineyard is beautiful
Great vid! Enjoyed the film too. ( watched it a few times). I've been on the Chappy Ferry two times so far. The first time a truck loaded with big rocks was in front of me. The last time, last year I got to park my new SUV right out front on the trip over and back again. The scariest part was the operator motioning me forward as he was looking the other way. A relief to get back on solid land. I've seen most of the actual shooting locations you showed in your vid.
Great video thanks for posting this.
We sailed to Menemsha harbor and I was curious about the scenes from Jaws.
You're right. It's amazing how much the harbor looks the same. Especially from the bicycle ferry dock side.
Sad about the coast guard station fire. Amazing visit
Thanks again for the info!
Good shots where movie was made.
Brilliant matey.i was lucky to be there in 2005 for the first Jaws fest.great video
This is SO COOL! I've been a JAWS fanatic since I came here as a kid from the UK and always dreamed of living on The Vineyard - I'd take any job, literally, just to call that Island home. Well bloody done mate!
Superb video thanks for uploading
I love seeing filming locations. I just saw the rapids where the river wild and the revenant were filmed
Wow, I love getting too see these film locations, thanks for posting for us!
Great move, and great an island.
That was awesome, thank you for sharing.
Kool , thanks for sharing 👍🏻😁
My favourite film of all time too. Great to see those locations and event hough some things have been altered or torn down you can still make out some of the best parts like Jaws Bridge and the car ferry. Thanks for sharing and that trip is on my bucket list too as well as American Werewolf in London, my other fav film of all time.
It was a foggy 2006 day when I visited Martha's Vineyard, but it was great to be there.
This was cool to watch. I also love the film but I've never been to Martha's Vineyard, so the explanations of the sites was great to see. Thanks for doing this!
I was born and raised on mv! You did a good job with this! I love how you mention that there is a SIGN that says NO JUMPING but still there is 50 plus people jumping 🤣🤣 its just a legality.... in case someone gets hurt the town can be like "well there is a sign"😂
I used to occasionally see Roy Scheider in Bridgehampton, LI, when I worked out East, for LILCO, the electric utility. He laughed his ass off when I would imitate Robert Shaw in the town Hall meeting scene.
He could be seen at the corner candy store. In Bridgehampton, and I would run into him at the King Kullen supermarket......( sometimes in his robe and slippers).....
Fine recollections, and video shots. Keep up the good work
Another Usual figure was Dick Cavett In Montauk. Sometimes at White's drug store. Sometimes walking near the lighthouse, or on the dunes....Thanks ++++++
Very cool, Jeff! Love jaws
Thanks! It was fun to make and see all of this on the trip!
@@JeffRauseo I bet, Wish I could go!
Very cool, thanks for filming this.
I saw Jaws in the movie theater when it first debuted; I was 7 years old. Being from Michigan I learned how to swim in Lake Huron. As you might expect I had that gnawing fear of being pulled under every time I entered the water. This stayed with me for many years.
Great video
It was my favorite movie too. I would love to get there some day
Brilliant video, very interesting to see where this famous movie was filmed. Thank you for sharing 🦈
Awesome👏🏻😎🤩!!!!!!!
Nice to see something a little different for a change truthfully! Awesome video Jeff
I’m originally from Boston, Mass. I was 10 years old when me and my buddy’s use to go there on the weekends and watch them film the movie 🎥 and to this day watching them film this movie and the movie it’s self has stuck in my head 🤪
Very cool
Really interesting Would love to visit 👍
Well done! Thank you
Very cool video. I’m here now on Martha’s Vineyard. I only got to go to Martha’s Vineyard at the last minute in a friends airplane, and your video was perfect and sent me to the same movie filming locations. Job will done, because JAWS is my favorite of all time also thanks, Paul
So cool! Hope you had a good time! 👍
This was awesome man 😎
Very cool, you must have been in your element 😁👍
Jeff, this is awesome! Not a huge fan of the film, but it had some very memorable moments, and it's so cool to see the real life locations. The voice-over and smooth presentation was on-point as well. Thanks for this- do more of these!
That was great! Thanks for sharing! I think the only filming location I’ve been to is Devils Tower, love Close Encounters. 👽
I’m going to Martha’s Vineyard next month!!
Great video, Jeff. I haven't been to the Vineyard in a long time but you made me want to revisit. Some of your shots looked exactly like the film-- I was thinking, wait, is that the movie or the video? Great job. Glad you had a nice vacation and thanks for sharing the Jaws locations. 🦈
Amazing how some places haven't changed
the harbor is really the only spot that makes you feel like you’re actually right where they filmed it. just my opinion. still really cool.
thank you
Great job brother. Awesome video
Thanks man!
I now Live in Wisconsin but I Lived out there in 1974 while they were filming it. I was only 11 years old. Way Cool.
This is awesome. I live right near the Vineyard
*across the water*
Falmouth?
Jaws Rulez✊🏻!
this is cool i'm a big fan of JAWS hope one day i can go there. Btw how many days you stayed there?
4 days!
Great video❤. Question? Was that giant rock Hooper sits on a prop or just not there anymore?. I might of missed if if you said it😂
You can see Chief Brody's truck in Oak Bluff's just parked in a spot along the beach. It says Amity Police Dept on the side and everything, I did like a triple take when I saw it the first time.
Did you get to go visit where the opening scene took place on the beach and where the girls body was found?
"The same white picket fence" at 0:53 is different from the one at 1:02. The "old shacks" at 5:54 are multi-million-dollar residences.
Neat stuff! Thanks for sharing. Do actual shark attacks ever happen in that area?
On Martha’s Vineyard offshore, not so much, but on the Cape, yea. Someone was actually killed a couple years back. The great whites have been all over the Cape
The last reported Big White Shark "attack" was reported in 1936 near the little Muskegon island where seals have their puppies.
The sharks prefer looking for seals off the Monomoy Island area in the Cape Cod town of Chatham, although two hammerheads were filmed off of South Beach on the Vineyard this summer
My favourite film, and an amazing looking location. Did you have an Alex Kintner Burger?
Cool stuff but didn’t the one shark attack happen on the pond side of Jaws bridge?
Nice work, but filled with inaccuracies, which wouldn’t matter except you have such a large audience.
do you have a letterboxd???
Ooh I’ve been wondering this as well
Have you ever talked about the drop in quality of most blu ray cases nowadays? Particularly how they're hollowed out with the recycle ♻️ symbol? I've replaced almost 200 of them with solid replacement cases I had to order through a third party and they're so much better quality.
Farewell and Adieu fair Spanish ladies
What about Town Hall where quint scratches the chalkboard ?
Did you ever get a chance to do the Jaws attraction at Universal Orlando?
I did! Way back when I was a kid, maybe 1997ish?
@@JeffRauseo it was pretty cool. Sad that it's gone now
If I was already some place I knew to be a filming location I'd have a look. I did so with the Dark Hedges (Kings Road in GoT) when I was in Ireland. Otherwise I just don't get that particular kind of film fandom.
Saw this at the theater , RIPPOFF of NIGHT OF THE GRIZZLY
Do you get great white round here?
So I cant find any info on line. Do you know if MV is EVER going to bring back Jaws fest? I know they claim it is the virus but thats BS. Martha's vineyard is open so why no Jaws fest?
The people who swim in the sea around there must feel freaked out all the time, I mean I know it’s a movie but I mean it’s pretty Erie
I jumped off that bridge in 2016…. twice. After seeing the photos, I really looked like a big, fat great white.
Where did Chrissy go swimming, and where does Brody kill Bruce??
Martha's vineyard, they used that name in the X Files, that's where Mulder's parents lived.
One for the algo. Al Gore has Rhythm
You got your pond sides mixed up the pond is where the attack was the shark came from the other side
I live here
Just jumped off jaws bridge
um why did u say marther? where are u from :D?
Edgartown, as you know, means friendship. Hey, we need a new name for this place. The summer ginks are going to be coming.
you forgot to mention that’s where John John JFK jnr plane was brought down
Two male friends took me to a theater to see Jaws 1 first-run. They thought it would distract me from caring for my terminally ill mother.
LoL. All I remember about the film is running out of the theater, screaming into the night, when the shark was swallowing the boat's Captain. Watching him going down the monster's throat was terrifying. It was so realistic that I forgot the whole thing was fake.
Years ago, we spent summers with friends who owned lovely beachfront homes on Cape Cod. They lived there year-round and loved it. However, after eating a ton of cheap lobster and knocking out my fillings with saltwater taffy, the place bored me witless. I was always anxious for a return to electric Manhattan.
After what filthy Ted Kennedy did to that poor girl on desolate Chappaquiddick, the vibes out there must be awful. Senior executives at a Fortune 100 company I worked for knew the Kennedys well. They told some of us what actually happened to Mary Jo Kopechne and why she was cremated so quickly.
I am writing a shark story and I can make jaws five
Not that detailed of a jaws tour.
