I bought a new JD skid steer about 20+ years ago. I think it was a 290? I owned a small paving company. The reason I chose the JD over the equivalent size Bobcat was the bucket Pin Height. It was the tallest offered by any manufacturer. We found that many rental skid steers of all different brands did not always reach above the sides of taller dump trucks making it almost useless to us. I loved that 290. 2 speed, high pressure, 2 buckets. When I sold off the business I sold the JD to a friend who also did paving. It was a workhorse.
I feel bad for the dealership mechanics everything is very tight. a/c unit gets put in from the front. and the design engineers don't know how to get it out if there's an issue due to the cab hydraulic cylinders are going to be in the way.
Be glad you're getting a Deere 331g and not the new P series they have some major design flaws to work out and i have heard this p series might slow down the production line assembling these units. I bought a new skid steer once and learn the hard way because of the headaches I had with that brand new machine.

Hoping the 333P will have the new heal pin design like the 335P has.
all 5 models are designed the same
all the assemblers are not liking how they are designed. it hard to fit a wrench in sorten spots and things don't like to fit right.

Didn’t know they were bringing out a 331P too. Had previously only heard about the 333p and 335p. Can’t wait to see these beasts in the dirt.
