I love the lizard here in California but we have lots of salamanders! Correct me if I’m wrong but I’d imagine that in Florida they might be so aggressive towards it because it could also look like a baby alligator or something
The eat lizards in the upstate of SC and there are very few gators. There are a few south and east of here. We do have lizards that can fall in the water. But they wouldn't swim underwater.
The peacock bass smoke lizards when they’re on bed in SoFlo, but the slizzard don’t have a great drop, not much movement, the zoom lizard has better movement on the drop, but once it’s on the bed they’ll eat any lizard
Lizards 🦎 work in Massachusetts. And I never see lizards 🦎. I use YUM bargain bin lizards. Don't waste money on googan.. .lizards work spring and summer. I fish it like a worm, Texas rig slow

That's my #1 bait ALL YEAR NEVER LETS ME DOWN, But I fish it way way different than anybody else and I'm not sharing my set up, best colors on bedding bass is gp candy, ofter that it's sungill, that color kicks ass
It also works great in deep water with a swing head jig. Actually, everything works well on a swing head jig.

When I started bass fishing in 1998 my mentors in the club all had me pulling a lizard as a co angler. It’s my go to bait even today
