My soldier is so badass that when I told him to jump through a window, the window broke before he got there.
Also, for those bug issues, I never got them. Just one crash and some framerate drops.
Probably my AMD GPU, I don't know and can't confirm.
+Shot Up Gaming Looks like Jedis are confirmed in the game :)
The window must have been like, "Yep, I know how this is going to end. So here, let me get that for ya."
+Shot Up Gaming lol
Jake Steel Damn, didn't know I have such an honorable family.
Now I'm gonna go apologize to my father for taking his 500$ and never paying him back.
Has 99.9% hit chance. Misses everything and the entire squad dies.
*THAT'S XCOM BABY!*
That's how xcom works.
Yup seems about right ive failed the whole game already.. the design of this game is absolute horse shit.. It doesn't involve strategic or tactical gameplay its based solely on luck and as it happens i didn't get that lucky. Wanna play a game that is like this but improves on every single thing? Go play Mutant Year Zero it actually requires skill and careful planning where as this game requires only luck.
That's how mafia works!
Jumal spoken like a true noob lol
@@Sumea_Saukko I prefer to play on Rookie since I don't truly care for pushing myself to hard. If I wanted to I'd definitely have to play with Ironman Mode to just make it harder.
Lol with mods you can probably customize your stormtrooper better in this game than in battlefront.
That's exactly true. You can change your color and camo to make some badass storm troopers
+Jamescrab yep rename him give him/her a nickname a diferent voice change his wepon color and color his armour change the color designs or even give your weapon a fucking name :))
lost amout 4-5h customizing my soliders and wepons and armours in this game
+Seth Achatz Cowan Rainbow Six Vegas 2 makes a better customize stormtrooper than Battlefront EA.
+Seth Achatz Cowan You sir win the gold star for making me bust out laughing in the middle of the office. Well Played!
Now that's edgy as FUCK!
First time XCOM player. I started on Ironman mode. I still visit the wall every day.
XCOM needs to be played in Ironman mode imo, makes it much more exciting.
+filegrabber1 Definitely. Has a way bigger impact when someone dies. Though I admit I sometimes alt+f4 and it goes to a save a couple moves back. Not often, just sometimes. :P
Was gonna get this or fallout 4?
Jason Petronick Both are good, can't decide. Fallout 4 has an unlimited lifespan due to mods tho, same as Skyrim. But on the other hand I still haven't finished XCOM 2. lol
Uchiha Sasuke I originally started with ironman mode, but i kept running into a couple game breaking glitches. my most common one being that for some reason (often after I explode an enemy to destroy its cover) I can't target them anymore. And they wreak unfair havok on me until I'm f***ed. But otherwise, I'll admit...I only save scummed once. Shame on me.. :(
The next game should be about a full-fledged human invasion of an alien world. Payback, bitches!
But who would you play
Dude that sounds frigging awesome
Hopefully in the future: XCOM 3 Humans Revenge BITCH. Coming to PC and Consoles😂
Humans, it would be the other way around. And they could make an end where you can't win and THEN in XCOM 4 the humans won the war and now you can either keep your power at the planet or play as the aliens to stop the Pandora project.
Xcom 3: Terror from the seas.
The reason that Firaxis and 2K decided that we lost the war is they looked at the numbers and I think the number was roughly 65% of people lost the campaign on their first attempt. So yeah while we all did beat it at some point it's a fair assessment to say that Commander's world wide let the council down.
+SteveVerstaka
They based it off anyone who played Impossible with Ironman.
+SteveVerstaka I also think it was just easier narratively to make it an alternate universe game, then a continuation. Maybe if I played the original series, I'd have a different opinion, but the gameplay seems to be hard to change up to match a second invasion without significantly changing how it plays.
Not that I'd be opposed to a very significant experience if it was still good, but I imagine not wanting to change too much probably encouraged the "First game didn't happen" path.
+Sines314 Would be cool if you port data from XCOM: Enemy Unknown . Also if they did make it an alternate universe thing, would be cool to use different technologies from mirror realities, so like on one side where the humans fully grasp the power of psionic abilities, have their armor psionically induced with power and their guns (psionic repeaters!) and the one where humans are the resistance have plasma technology
+SteveVerstaka The reason why Xcom lost the war is because Firaxis wanted to force the player to return to square 1 and lose all their toys. That was the only real reason.
My impression is that everything after the psychic base assault to the good end is all a simulation experienced by the Commander because of xcom2 plot points. While the real world went towards the bad ending.
downloaded clone trooper armor and voice mod
made Delta Squad
kicked ass through the entire game
Sev died on the last mission, won anyway.
10/10 closest we're getting to Republic Commando 2
Demitrium Fuck I need to do
I guess we know what happened to Sev now.
I know this is an old comment but that sounds fire
May you 5% always crit and your 95% always miss
MrBlackhawk49 pretty accurate
-99 percent to hit and crit hits
99 percent to hit miss
I love u haha still so true.
Hit or crit
I guess they never crit, huh?
Same issue with fallout 4 lol
A sequel that improves on the original?!? In this day in age, that's almost unheard of!
It doesn't. Something feels very lacking from Xcom 2.
I didn't like it as much myself. My guys hit 1 out of 150 shots so..Requires insane luck.
@@SnowEternal7 nah seems to be worse in pretty much every aspect. I would take the first over xcom2 any day.
@@RiotforPeacePlz whys that exactly?

I'm calling it now, end of March - The division angry review
- YOU DON FUCKED IT UP
+LynxFly YOU DONE FUCKED IT UP!
The division is awesome I hate people bashing it because "Ubisoft" made it. God if you play it is is so freaking AWESOME
+LynxFly Why? Have you played The Division?
It's Destiny if Destiny was actually a good game with a story and a modern setting, plus plenty of content.
Are you mad that they used the PC Version for E3? Is that why The Division annoys you?
+Jacob Lewis I've played the beta, it's fun BUT it gets stale really quick once you've got max level (for the beta that is), it gets boring.
+LynxFly of course it got stale it was a beta there's only like 1/10 of the content available lmfao
He was right. Five years later and XCom 2 is easily a 10/10 game.
5 or 6 give it take I've been playing it recently and I've been having a blast
Muh
a -1564 out of 10, zero playability and all the bad things from the original, whithout any of the good ones.
@@khourks43khourks33 I've played through it three times, and once with the Long War mod. So I'm not sure where "zero playability" comes from.
@@billybegood466 Sure, with all the mods and cheats it's easy, try to play in veteran only, with the enemies crit you every single mission, with all your 80% shots missing, with all 3 pods in vision of each other so they activate at same time and then told how good and easy peasy it's the game.
Damn you Joe... I tried playing xcom enemy unknown because you seemed very enthusiastic about this franchise... Now I'm extremely addicted.
Fuck yeah, i was just starting to get bored. Now im good for 24 minutes
ha ha
Lmao xD
so, how's the last 3 minutes been?
+Baleur 24 minutes.. 4 minutes and that's foreplay included
+Syncr4tic 30minutes later "WHERE ARE THE REViEWS?!"
The Mods in XCOM 2 are beautiful, never before have I been able to unite Sergeant Johnson, Cole Train, Sanic and Darth Vader in the same squad alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Finny Two The Legend.
Bantersaurus Don’t forget Duke Nukem.
You know you could do that in Gmod
Modders from previous XCOM were hired for the game.
@@angelvaldez9002 what does gmod have to do with xcom lmao
I would never want to play a stormtrooper full conversion. The accuracy values would always be 0!
stormtroopers would be the only guys to miss a melee attack
Shadow Kitsune
With the Assassins Katana.
Dude, its XCOM.
That your soldiers cannot hit anything is part of the intended experience anyway.

Joe's terrible at XCOM. Trust me.
+Returded Phoenixmorph so I'm learning haha
+Returded Phoenixmorph He really is
+Returded Phoenixmorph Yah, in this video, I saw him pick up a body, and start running for evac... he decides that he'd rather take a completely useless two extra squares than hide behind some cover while being within shooting distance of an enemy.
I don't understand how people cannot comprehend that very simple rule. ALWAYS use cover.
+Kosba2 A lot of people get too close with the wrong weapon and then get mad when they miss standing right next to the enemy.

Good RPG
I just got into this game recently and it’s a lot of fun hard but absolutely rewarding.
@@Rengaw1896 how are the bugs and crashes and things now? It is downloading but I would like to know what to expect when i get it.
Just finished it again on impossible, 3 grenadiers and 3 specs ftw. Blasted my way through the game, going again with 3 specs, 1 mec and 2 psi hehehe
Guess that confirms that we won't see the top ten controversies of 2015.
Stop complaining joe is gonna be busy for 2 months he said that in his vlog
+cpthornman I'd rather have this review tbh.
It was only really konami last year, not much else and what little else there was is dwarfed by it.
+cpthornman I thought it was just me thinking this...
those are boring
How ... how did this happen? The sequel to a remake to a reboot ...
And it''s actually GREAT O_O
+bloodrunsclear hi its you so can you make the xcom 2 retaliation trailer fan trailer i know you will do well
+bloodrunsclear cause firaxis know their shit
Because firaxis knows what the fans like ;)

"You want me to go in there?!?!" -Angry Joe
I don't think I've ever heard him scared before...
Angry Joe you should do a XCOM: War of The Chosen Angry Review!
I would love to play an XCOM2 campaign, as the aliens...
Deciding which scanner missions I wanted to fight them in, tracking them down, etc.
Yea if that were the case then the survivors would actually be able to hit the aliens
The timer in XCOM 2 is 50/50, It's great because everytime it pops up, I am tense as hell so I try not to lose anyone, but I hate it because it feels awkward.
WotC made the timers more manageable but yeah sometimes you just get dropped waaaaaaaay to far from the objective and have to basically suicide to get to the objective all time.
I didnt finish the game because timers were bullshit. I loved the game up until i got fed up with timer with op aliens. If i always miss the spear guy and other aliens are super armored, i rather kill myself then reload 100 times
Major Marketing
I play on Legendary and yes, I lose soldiers but it’s really only maybe 1 mission in 10 that I feel like the timers were bullshit.
As for your other troubles, that’s XCOM baby.
@@majormarketing6552 isn't there a mod that takes away the timer?
yoshatabi
Not only that you can now choose (in War of The Chosen) to double timers before you begin a campaign. Also IN the campaign there are things that extend mission timers
Literally got the game just because of this man, almost 190 hours later not disappointed.
😂Same with me. I'm trying it out as soon as it downloads.
It's a real *tragedy* that this game is not on consoles...
I agree. Very disappointing. Maybe we will eventually get a Definitive edition like Divinity.
Hehehehehehe
+MHKeenani That's probably the only way we'll get this game.
The devs said some of the core elements (like generating levels) would be to hard for consoles.
+Blodus Lol what? Next gen consoles aren't powerful enough for random generation?
Wait... An angry review? I thought this channel was "AngryJoeLivestreams" nice to see what got me subscribed in the first place.
Yeah, I'm glad Joe's posting more reviews on his "AngryJoeReviews" channel :P
exaxttly , I don't care a shit about the other shit ,shit
You're right, Angry Joe should totally NOT branch out and do other things on HIS channel. Strictly reviews from now on, Joe. Strictly reviews.
+Roxas theNobody It's called 'AngryJoeShow' which leaves it open to imagination. Not just reviews or livestreams.
+Roxas theNobody yep now nearly another 3 months for the next one
In the next game i would put in branching storyline, weapons/abilities with status effects (burn damage, freeze, electrify, bleed, infestation, poison, stun, weaken), more psionic effects and items/abilities that can cure those effects. I would also create more environment hazards with different effects like exploding power cells, rupturing gas cilinders, tearing up power lines, breaking liquid nitrogen tanks, etc.
I would take the story to Mars where humans have discovered an alien foothold and promtly assemble a planetary invasion force to stomp out the alien martian bases. This time humanbity would go on the offensive hunting down the alien presence. Fighting in low gravity could be a fun new twist. Also infiltrating alien bases and sabotaging them in different ways or having various mission objectives like defend for x minutes, destroy x device, hack x computer, steal x technology, etc. Heck they could even introduce stealth missions with stealth or melee weapons that would not alert enemies.
There are so many posibilities in XCOM 3 that it boggles the mind. I just hope i will see some of these mechanics introduced.
Nice!
Sounds cool but you forgot one thign, NO F****** BUGS!
Nah, bugs make the game funner man. one look at NL's playthrough will show you that.
Do you realize how many resources a branching storyline would take? These are mostly kid's dreams.
BobbityBoo Personally, I think it would be kind of easy for them to create a "Reverse" campaign, or something along those lines. Where you would play as the aliens trying to reclaim earth, r something like that. You'd have the models, abilities, and places, you'd just need custom dialogue, research, and maybe a different base visual. It'd take a few months, and a bit of money, but I'm pretty sure they could do it. They could even release it as an expansion pack for XCOM 2.
THE AYY LMAOS ARE COMING! THE AYY LMAOS ARE COMING!

I had the most cinematic moment in Xcom 2. I had one soldier left for Evac and 2 enemies overwatching the evac. I had no option but to test my luck.
I ran to the Evac
The first soldier hit me down to one health and I thanked god that my character didn't die, I then remembered that there was a second guy as the camera switched to him.
He missed
I made it to evac with my final girl and I beat the mission.
+Jonathan Eden
You performed poorly
try again!
RazgrizOne B-But I beat it!I-I c-cant go through t-that again!
+Jonathan Eden I use the "No man gets left behind" rule. When everything else is clear but Evac might need protection. I setup a 360 degrees perimeter so the last one coming in is covered by his mates. I evac them all at once or only one first if he carries a VIP or bleeding/dead soldier then the rest go 1 turn after him. Glad she made it though. Live to resist another day!
+Jonathan Eden I had something similar, doing an early game blacksite story mission, still had ballistics and everybody but one guy was dead. Got the package, then ran him outside, and then reinforcements came from a drop ship, and start gunning at him. Then the turrets starting shoot at him. and he had to run past 4 advent soldiers and a mec, and a turret to get to evac. And everything missed him as he made a mad dash to evac. Xcom man, creating wonderful little moments like that.
Magnaliscous 10/10
Can I just say how much I love the fact that the main base for this game is a friggin' helicarrier AND that they named it "The Avenger"?
I never made that connection :D
I dunno, Joe. I feel like the timer mechanic (in mission) adds unnecessary difficulty to the game. I just started playing the console version that released a few days ago for Xbox One, and I've failed quite a few timed missions so far, in the beginning of the game. It's pretty frustrating. Just today I had to hack a terminal and I only had 8 turns to do so. Even on full dash it took almost half that time just to get there, then there were so many enemies -- including the first appearance of mechs -- that I lost three of my five guys; likewise they were my highest promoted. That play through is gutted at this point, and I was playing on Easy for the first play through. I cannot imagine XCOM 2 on Commander, or whatever the "Impossible" equivalent is. Even with the Conceal mechanic this is insanely difficult, almost to the point of not being fun.
I love the rest of the game, though. The customization, even without mods, is amazing. I spent the first hour just customizing characters and writing a little bio for them. It was really cool. Combat is as amazing as the first game, with many improvements. It kind of surprises me that you don't appear to know why the developers chose to go with the resistance story for 2. I mean, from what I understand, most play throughs of XCOM: EU were failures, due to the difficulty, and so that became the canon ending.
wow..you sound terrible at the game. it's challenging, but not as difficult as what your describing
Dominic Cleveland It was my very first time playing the game...
I played EU and EW, beaten it on Classic Ironman but not Impossible, plus, with so many new mechanics I was pretty much overwhelmed.
Likewise with that mission I described, my only Specialist was injured on a previous mission, so I couldn't hack it from range. It was just bad luck, I think.
So, bad at the game? No. I'm still learning and getting used to it. The timer mechanic just adds a steep learning curve for me, because they always make me anxious. Bomb Disposals and Confounding Light were always my least favorite missions in EU and EW.
Zzzzzz
Dominic Cleveland :/
I agree. And actually I just put the game away. Unfortunately I can't get a refund. I told myself not to buy the hype but I guess we all make mistakes. The game won, yay. I play videogames to get entertained, this experience wasn't fun for me.
Joe, if you don't review every single game that comes out, every day, for the rest of your UA-cam career, I'm unsubscribing!
WARNING: SATIRE! For those Angry Joe fans who don't know what the word means, it's basically parody. -_-
good thing for putting the warning a lot of dumbasses would have gotten pissed

Channing Gibbs Yeah, it's really odd actually feeling your neurons commit suicide one-by-one...
You will be missed
Nah, after restarting 8 times in a row on ironman, I finally beat it. Didn't even touch non-ironman.
Anyone else noticed how much more effort was Joe putting in his old reviews compared to the new ones?
+Empy Rean I noticed that as well.
I haven't noticed. How do u mean?
There are alot of new games recently. he wants to review most of those, therefore he puts less effort in smaller games. the division will most likely get a longer and more entertaining review than this one..
***** I think his videos are sweet, even though other ones are even better. My comment was just a reaction to this dudes question, ya know - to possibly solve his dissappointment. Personally I completely agree with you=)
+Rogue Tom How do you measure "passion"? I'd say his videos are better constructed and refined now, but I get that people like him just yelling about shit.
Getting released to Nintendo Switch in May. Looking forward to this as I’ve never played it before.
Same! Heard of it but didn't know what it was so i checked the review begore purchase
Omg its fucking incredible. IF the switch gives u the WotC DLC (War of the Chosen) play vanilla FIRST. WotC is INCREDIBLE, it adds sooo much to the main game, but its DEFINITELY worth the second playthrough. I'm playing WotC now and HOLY SHIT I re-fell in love with XCOM2

Wow, weak. 8/10 for a constantly crashing game?Stop giving them a pass. Every game that comes out nowadays is unplayable at launch.
+Eldar K
Still a great game.
Sure it has performance problems (almost worse than fallout 4) but that hasn't stopped a lot of people from enjoying it.
And knowing the developers history, they'll be able to fix it (hopefully...)
I also heard it was more publisher bullshit that the game was rushed and ended up really buggy. Someone on steam said that 2K games needed to get a game out really fast (for money of course) and XCOM 2 was it.
god spoilers?
+Eldar K they dont crash in all pc's , in my pc games dont crash, you know, cause its good and i clean it, etc. yea it has problems but there is something called PATCH, did you know?
Fallout New Vegas had one of the most buggy releases in gaming history(so bad Xcom 2 plays smoothly in comparison), yet people still bought it, played it and loved the hell out of it. Wanna know why? Because the game was fucking amazing. Same with Xcom 2; as uncomprehensive as this may seem to you, it is actually possible to criticize a game's flaws but still recognize the many good qualities it has that ultimately outweigh the bad parts.
+Eldar K Nah. It worked fine for me. And I only have a 970 and an i5. It's an amazing game that ANYONE who loves videogames should try. It is just straight FUN.
Joe we lost the war because a majority of people lost their first game through the previous XCOM.
+Salamander Senel That's just excuse to make xcom 2 plot devs way.
It's implied in the story that the events of Enemy Unknown was actually Advent using the commander to simulate strategy for the their troops
+Thomas Scally ya they basically tell you that when you research the chip that was in the commanders skull.
Last I looked on Steam, the "beat the game on any difficulty" achievement was sitting at around 20%. Not looking good for Xcom 3.
+Taranatar9 the next one will possibly be humans attacking the aliens, not defending...... I hope.
It's strange. My game pratically never crashed.

Really?! Id love to watch you play the new resident evil. hahaha
if you want to, you can send me/lend me a copy of resident evil, and i can play it and upload it.
15:05 DONT KILL JOE! DONT KILL JOE!! IM GONNA RUN
the game is great, but one thing i wish they would fix, the enemy being able to shoot through solid objects, like walls, cars, big metal crates, etc. its really frusrating to think you are totally covered, only for the enemy to shoot through 2 walls and kill you
Gummie Bear they are shooting lasers, plasma rifles and shit. Seems like exactly what would happen
Well they just get lucky, Full cover gives a -40 to their aim and the distance dramaticly decreases the aim.
I agree wish they patch a bug or the glitch when the enemy stop for a min they won’t move it’s really a good glitch
Probably have something to do with generated map instead of like preset map like in xcom eu/ew.
I could be wrong tho
@@deadman2807 It clearly doesn't lol
I know this could be potentially sacrilegious to most X-COM fans, but I would hope that in X-COM 3 they could add-in an Alien campaign. I want to be the invaders taking over the planet fighting the X-COM soldiers. Could be interesting.
Heretic!
I STILL play the old original xcom from 1994 ! Still an amazing game. still super addictive. So glad they restored the glory for a new generation of gamers. Xcom and Battlefront (2005) my all time fav games
Do they also have hit chances?
@@rompevuevitos222 Yes they are pretty much exactly the same gameplay. They are on steam
@@TheNeonTheater Actually, that was the one thing i dislike from the series, but maybe i can mod it or wathever
i know XCOM Enemy Unknown had a mod that made all damage consistent and removed hit chances (so 50% accuracy means 50% damage, since that's the average damage that you would deal if you hit 50% of your shots)
@@rompevuevitos222 Maybe they felt like it makes the game more unpredictable and keeps things interesting. Personally I never use anything other than auto shot. I learned years ago that its always the most reliable even if it says low hit percentage. It almost always hits and even when it misses it will hit another enemy sometimes. I like to start the game using lots of grenades and explosive shots to help get kills early and increase your soldiers exp quickly since they usually cant hit squat at the beginning lol
Timer mechanics, heavy cinematics, rushing requirements, less destruction, room requirements? Joe, you aren't selling me on this...
+MortifiedDumplin Timer really killed game for me i was so annoyed by this and after 20h i just gave up and i doubt i will finish that game. Heavy cinematics is are only for story mission introduction and sometimes if you shot at enemies. Less destruction? lol you can destroy almost every wall of buildings, covers.
+Dregomz02 One of the most used mods is a mod that removes timers.

which didn't worked for me both mission timer and avatar project timer, it also corrupted my saves
+MortifiedDumplin I don't get this mentality. I played XCOM1 *after* xcom 2, and I see why they added the timers. XCOM is hilariously easy once you know how the game works, because you have all the time in the world and the enemies generally come to you. You just move a couple of spaces, overwatch, enemies barrel into a hail of gunfire, and then, when your guys are in good health and theyre all fucked up, the actual fight starts. That was the meta and it was way too effective and repetitive. After the initial beginning being hard as fuck I managed to not lose a soldier the rest of the game after getting the first weapon and armor upgrades on classic difficulty. I had like 5 KIAs. But in 2 you can't just overwatch that sectopod to death and use lots of strategic retreat to always be in a superior position. You gotta push forward, and that means giving up ideal cover and going balls out to kill that same sectopod, knowing that his advent flunkies might well fuck you up the next turn.I do hate the avatar project though. I mean you still have plenty of time as long as you destroy the advent facilities, but ultimately the main project will inch towards completion no matter what which sucks.
+Dregomz02 then you simply failed at installing the mod correctly
An honest review from Joe but it lacks funny acting and costumes. Just too "plain".
+Pavel Paškevič
You want a review or do you want a comedy skit?
+RazgrizOne But it's Angry Joe, right? And because of those comedy skits he's so popular.
+RazgrizOne The skit makes Joe unique in his own way. Otherwise hes like any other reviewer.
+CrusherTechnologies Yes!
+Pavel Paškevič yeah he just recycled his xcom 1 reveiw
Long War 2 is the mod the turned XCOM 2 to a 10/10 game. I'd be very interested to see an Angry Joe review of Long War 2, or even the original Long War mod for Enemy Within.
I liked LW for EW. But LW for 2 is just too brutal. I can’t man.
Man i hate timed missions
me too but with the bug i encounter when the enemy stand still its the best with timed mission i hate timed mission with the bug when enemy standing still its hilarious
This was such a good game.
I thought the Avatar Clock would be a huge problems but realized there were covert assignments to reduce that.
What I really hated was the Fatigue meter... only qualm I have with the game, how they get more tired as a friggin Colonel??
Overall: 9/10 game, totally worth buying off steam for those of you late to the game as I was.
I think the fatigue mechanic you're referring to is from the War of the Chosen dlc. As of the time of this review, there's no such mechanic in the base version of Xcom 2, however, it is present in the Long War mod for Enemy Unknown. Faraxis we're probably inspired by it, because it gives players the opportunity to play with other characters and rank them up accordingly to your campaign progression.
While it might seem forced, it does make sense, as you get to the harder mission of the game, should you lose some or all of your best guys, what are left with in return? Nothing but rookies I'd imagine.
Personally, I like the fatigue because of that reason. As an added bonus, it does make you care more about your entire soldier rouster, than just a handful of them.
@@thesilkman7248 Well you got me, I loved playing with my dream squad that I left the other members unupgraded, lol. I agree I don't see a better way to upgrade and use other units.
One thing I miss tho, from Xcom EW, is the base assault. We have the Defend Avenger mini mission but that base assault in EU is more frightening and interesting.
I thought there was a base assault?
+Graal Otonami Yea.. kinda.. that was the 'shoot the emp-ish structure so the avenger can fly away' mission. Nothing compared to Enemy Within's base assault in the skyranger.
+XtremeDrake That was not in the base game tho, half of my excitement with firaxis games is looking forward to the expansion :p
+XtremeDrake there was no base assault in EU. it was Enemy Within that added base assault.
karlhungusjr1 Oh yea, my mistake. Had a little too much to drink. Edited.
takes 5 minutes for me to load a mission 2 min to get back from it i love xcom but this makes it unplayable for me why havent they patched it???!
I've fallen asleep during loading screens.
yea loading screens suck but that's just how it is its got a lot of info to process
Was this game any good
I think it's a good game but then again I like strategies style games it's good if u got time to play it like all day
OK might just stick with gears. Ty
Damn, sucks that you had to take that song out of the video, one of my favorite parts lol.
What was the song at 11:26-12:10 🤔
@@AstaIsAMonster Whitney Houston- I will always love you
@@fantango8012 Good catch or just really good memory.
A Terminator game in the genre of Xcom will be amazing.
Xcom and Divinty : original sin are best ❤️
P.S : i executed King Archon with one shot of shotgun , it was awesome
wheres the top 10 contraversies of 2015 video??
+MinionMan123 WE NEED THIS MOST EXPECTED COMPILATION!
+MinionMan123 Apparently he`s not gonna do it because of the money he made on livestreams or something like that.
+Gui V And where did you get that from?
when did he say that?
+Gui V Stop lying, Joe never said that. It's just something people say because they think he's greedy now with the streams on twitch.
the answer for the question in 1:20 is, the first game was simulation created through the chip we saw in start of the game, in reality, Xcom has suffered a massacre before they even get the upgrades showed in enemy unknown and enemy within
Save scum? Ironman mode, bitches!
Only played EU, but I'm gonna get 2 as soon as it's out on XB1. That being said:
Impossible mode+ironman=actual, legitimate tears shed. When my sharpshooters, Seth, got ambushed by chryssilids, my family all came running to find out why I was screaming. 😂
You probably don't have fun.
buckeyeinblack Oh, I didn't. it was awful.
you pretty much have to save scum with the crap RNG this game has. Alot of times my dudes miss 68-90 percent shots for no reason then "ops." then they all get wounded or die because of me taking that risk to get to that position.
+robosoldier11 Welcome to the club. I lost my best soldier because I missed a 95% roll and the enemy hit him on a 25% shot. I was screaming in fury loud enough to scare my cat off of my staircase.
20:14
At least it wasn't after you completed a Moderate/Difficult mission with a Flawless
I've yet to experience any major bugs with XCOM 2. Actually, everyone I've talked to has varying experiences with the bugs. Some ranging into Joe's experiences with several crashes, to others where the game may have only crashed once or twice. Either way, a good review, though I disagree that the campaign map forces linear play.
+T Kent Same, i've play 24 hours, no crash, not even a game breaking bug. almost always 60FPS. I just had some slow turn nothing more.
+T Kent Only got 1 crash, but the game hanging happened at least once per mission, and although not gamebreaking it got really annoying.
+T Kent Yep, it's just the nature of PC games where everyone is running the game on different rigs.
Naftul Zvi It would most like be issues with different background software and user custom settings. All hardware are direct X compatible so it rarely is a compatibility issue.
Nearing 50 hours, my only bug was once I went to scan some Supplies on the map and the days left went into the negatives, but it was fixed as soon as the next in-game month started (which was just a few days away)
0:06 - that moment when you accidentally delete your last builder in Age of Empires
20:14 That's some Classical Joe reaction right there, kind of missed that :D
God damn the way he drops the cup, that's priceless I can't stop watching it :D
15:12
Dylan Hecker Ahahaha that's also beautiful :D
When he blows everyone up in the intro lol
STILL playing this game years in. Bloody LOVE it!
Yeap I just loaded it up again (with War of the Chosen) and of course the Google gods saw me search for it and offered up this video lol
A good option for timed mission, will be... if u get discovered by the aliens, the timers start in 5 o r something, letting u to acommodate ur troops and dont feel rushed and reward the tactical
There's a mod for that called "True concealment".
XCOM Lore be like:
XCOM EU/EW: Worldwide and Multi Country Funded Organization with the odds on their side = Lose
XCOM 2:Small Resistance Community with odds against them = win
That’s XCOM Baby!
i dont typically like these types of games but this review was still good
Hahaha it's been up for like a minute 😂
+Riley Lee 😂
+Riley Lee ikr lol we got speed o sonic over here lol
+SeaRabbits 3 minutes. You managed to watch a 20 min review? Time manipulator teach me
time traveler!
Damn Joe, finally the review and it is awesome as ever. Now people won't whine anymore you can chill out!
I didn't even consider playing this until this review, thanks Joe!
All the mod content that the workshop offers is insane now. I have over 30 mods active on my current playthrough and I'm loving it! It drastically increases the replayability because I start a new campaign every time I download a new slew of gameplay altering mods.
It sounds great, but I’m tired of being a resistance in like everything ever. Can we just be one military might fighting another. Instead of always being put into an underdog position. This game sounds fun, but I wish the story carried off of enemy unknown.
Edit: just realized this video is 4 years old lol, guess I’m late.
That's XCom Enemy Unknown and Xenonauts
Yeah I’ve played xcom enemy unknown. Never heard of xenonauts though. I just wish enemy unknown carried over. Instead it’s like that game never even mattered and you’re just a resistance.
Can't wait to play this on PS4!
Me too. Loved Enemy Unknown!
***** Have fun with your shitty ports for 90% of games that come out these days lol
***** Never had a game crash on my PS4 lol
***** No both of those games were fundamentally flawed and not just from a tech standpoint.
did you really have to reply 8 times to yourself you no life nerd have fun using mods playing byself loser lel and games do crash on pc pc isn perfect either
Sad to report but I finally got around to beating this last night, and it crashed on me for the final cutscene...the bugs have never been taken care of dude.
This game is on sale on Steam.
Artic Centurion: The full package (with all the dlc) is around 35 bucks.
The full package (with all the dlc) is around 35 bucks.
The most annoying part is when the sectors can turn your own squad mates against each other and your squads keep panicking
Richard Lew Ugh... I hate that.
always prioritize killing the sectoids first.Unless there is something even worse. Then you're fucked.
Naw yall got it wrong. If it's sectoids along with advent troops then kill the advent troops first. Because the sectoids will 95% of the time will try to awake the troops first.
greenghost2212 exactly, you just need to study enemy movement and learn what they typically do.
LONG WAR 2 IS OUT!
5 years of waiting totally worth it, i borough XCOM 2 for 4 dollars 😉
Hope you got War of the Chosen as well, because that's what turned a good game in a timeless classic.
@@TucoBenedicto Yeah... about that... i didn't get the DLC
@@RAZPUT1N829 well, the whole series is on sale on Steam up to February 18th.
Your path to redemption is still open.
Try long war after you finish the campaign. Completely changes the game in a good way.
"If I didn't have twitch chat helping me, it would've been a lot more brutal." Didn't think I'd ever hear those words.
XCOM 2 is also the best Star Wars tactical game ever thanks to mods.
Starting again with a random Angry review playthrough, forgot where i was up to, i watched about 10 today but ill call this number 1 12/10/19 great job guys
I finally beat the game AJ/Crew and the game was badass!💪🏽
I only had 4 or 5 game crashes on PS4 so I saved a lot after the second crash because I was paranoid 😂 and the game has frame rate issues when some of the levels have heavy 🔥 and smoke everywhere on PS4.
But still I ❤️ this badass game. 8.5/10.
I always appreciate your videos. If you got a review for a game I'm interested in, Your videos are the first ones I look up!
>Says they're all gonna survive
>gives control to joe
*_THAT WASN'T VERY CASH MONEY OF YOU_*
It’s on sale for $15 right now, should I buy it?
yes commander
get it with dlc, it's MUCH better with dlc, which adds 2 new classes and fixes timed missions.
yes
XCOM 2 has stopped working...... this is one of those moment's that prove a PC isn't always that good. You always get games crashing or not working on a PC than you ever do on a console -_-
+Mickeyminime Horsesh**
False
+Mickeyminime not true
Get a decent pc and this won't happen nearly as much, plus consoles freeze from time to time.
+Mickeyminime Well because most devs care about the console community more than the PC community. That is where they usually get the most money from anyways.
I waited so long for this game to come out on PS4, just hoping it would be a reality someday. I don't have a PC, and I felt so teased when I played Enemy Unknown on PS3 and discovered there wouldn't be a port for XCOM 2 in the near future to PS4. I've waited nearly a year, and I'm not disappointed! If anything, its probably best it took this long, because while the game might stutter and drop frames on PS4, I haven't had one crash yet. I know my opinion isn't shit, but seriously anyone out there who plays console should seriously buy this game now that its out! I'm in love with it.
Like if you want XC3
Shit. I've never been this early. I don't know what to say. Yay, I guess?
No, that's bad, it's not how you keep them around
what a original and funny comment.
yea, that's good enough
yay is cool.
yay
This is exactly why I uninstalled the game. I was one foot from an enemy with an 85% hit chance yet still missed. Good thing it was a $10 sale.
Lol
It isn't an accident; the devs actually made the hit chances purposefully inaccurate to create tension.
