Dimash asked Igor to come up with something that the whole world can use to sing to their God and not just to the Catholic religion keep in mind that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor is Jewish. I think he delivered. Everyone can feel the religious feeling.❤❤😊😊

Yes. Ave Maria is known by so many people as 'a prayer' so the title was to make it clear that the songs intention is a prayer but he wanted it to be unrestricted and not limited by nationality or religion, transcendent, hence no words therefore no particular language, just a spiritual unification of all of us. The sentiment is truly amazing. ❤ have really enjoyed your DIMADH reactions, stumbled over you yesterday and have watched them all up to now. Thank you. Your enthusiasm and passion for music is lovely to see.

Composer: What version of Ave Maria you want to sing?
    Dimash: The angel version
Dimash choose vocalisation to emote the Ave Maria, which is very effective. Stripping off the lyrics, we are left with only the sound of pray.

When I first heard this song a few years ago, I actually sobbed like a baby. And it continued to make me cry for the next few times that I watched it. This song is so spiritually profound for me, that whenever I feel like the world is feeling unbalanced or scary, I put this song on and it makes me feel so much safer. It's definitely the last thing I want to hear when it is my time to leave this world. Thanks so much for reacting to this masterpiece.

Эта атмосфера поразительна - вначале слышны удары сердца, он ждёт последнего удара. Затем пение ангела. Это так трогательно и грустно, звук проникает в душу глубоко и внутри всё замирает. Осознание последнего момента жизни.

  • @Rietto

His performance reminds me of wings -- the lungs of birds help move their wings, and just the way he stands on stage singing this just gives that invisible feeling of wing movement being controlled with his voice; it's very profound. S.O.S. is another song of his that really gives that feeling of being pulled into the sky just by his singing.
I think it's very apropos because a prayer really is an attempt to reach across a divide into another plane, after all. I think even his outfit in this performance recalls earth+heaven meeting (light above, dark below). And both this song and S.O.S. are expressions of a certain yearning and reaching out.

Previously, this piece was performed by Lara Fabian & Sumi Cho & Dmitry Hvorostovsky. It is a pity that Dmitry Hvorostovsky, a talented performer, the idol of millions, passed away so early.

Dimash will never be a "textbook" singer, opera or otherwise. What opera singer out there is as exciting as Dimash? They're executing what they've been taught correctly, while he is trailblazing new combinations of styles. So when he does stuff that isn't consistent with opera or bel canto technique, often it's because he is combining pop or other styles, and often because he has a different way of expressing himself than other singers, which are some of the reasons why he is more interesting, and why he's called the best singer in the world.

The opinion of a professional is always interesting, thank you!❤
This premiere of "Ave Maria" took place at the annual international festival "New Wave" in 2021 (Sochi, Russia). The vocalization of "Ave Maria" by Igor Krutoy (the author at the piano) was written specifically for Dimash and was not based on the themes of Schubert, Bach/Gounod that you know. To a greater extent, it resembles the vocalization of "Ave Maria", written by the Russian lutenist V.Vavilov in 1970 and published by him under the name of the little-known Italian composer Giulio Caccini (1551-1618). Vavilov was a virtuoso musician, recorded two albums "Lute music of the XVI-XVII centuries". Only a few years later, music experts proved the authorship of Vladimir Vavilov (1925-1973, Leningrad, USSR) for his vocalization of "Ave Maria". The composition of maestro Igor Krutoy has more structural similarities with "Ave Maria" Vavilova (Caccini), which is still performed by many singers. Maestro Krutoy wrote many songs for Dimash, links to which are on the singer's website.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Dimash's frown isn't always tense. It is simply his display of emotion. He frowns a lot and we know him like that. It actually looks soft when you see it from up close because of the expression in his eyes. His hands are also always relaxed (even the baritone claw that you referred to). If you saw it feom the front you would have been able to see that they are more open and relaxed. When he wants to have a demanding hand gesture, you will have no doubt about what you're seeing. 😅

Another wonderful reaction and analysis. You are always well-informed, hence this comment is probably more for the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with this performance. Dimash's rendition of "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance countless times since it premiered, and no matter how many times I have already watched it, I am still moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice.
This was the final of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his appearance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krutoy on the piano who composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. Someone stated that this is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria" opening vocals, and that the piece uses three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Whereas a classical musician on UA-cam (@SirHairless), pointed out that his is more of an interpretation of the composition of Vladimir Vavilov, often misattributed to G. Caccini.
Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand-new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to "a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!"
The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce," the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most challenging vocal exercises, and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master.
There have been at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions over the past roughly 200 years. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Now we can add Dimash’s rendition to the list. Here is a list of different composers/compositions:
    Ave Maria - F. Schubert (1797-1828)
    Ave Maria - C. Gounod (1818-1893)
    Ave Maria - J. S. Bach (1685-1750)
    Ave Maria - G. Verdi (1813-1901)
    Ave Maria - E. Elgar (1857-1934)
    Ave Maria - P. Mascagni (1863-1945)
    Ave Maria - J. Brahms (1833-1897)
    Ave Maria - L. Cherubini (1760-1842)
Ave Maria - V. Vavilov (1925-1973). See note below*
    Ave Maria - S. Lindley (1948- )
    Ave Maria - N. Skipper (1951- )
    Ave Maria - I. Krutoy (1954- )
*This is the famous composition of Ave Maria, misattributed to G. Caccini (1551-1618). It was actually composed by Russian composer Vladimir Vavilov in the early 1970s. He was forced to attribute most of his music to someone other than himself because any religious composition at that time, especially one invoking the Virgin Mary, was criminal under the communist dictatorship governing the Soviet Union.

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

He doesn't do everything according to convention. He stands with a very wide stance. He bends over during belts, but his back is always straight. He very rarely hunches. I think he employs these techniques to conserve energy because his concerts are very long

There is footage of Dimash, on UA-cam, learning to master that difficult technique of those last two notes. He was holding his throat, looking in a mirror, while the teacher was telling him how to achieve it.

It has been said that the percussive sounds in the beginning come from NASA/space, but don't quote me! Thank you for accepting that this beautiful vocalization composed at Dimash's request by Igor Krutoy, at the piano, is not the typical song /prayer many of us are familiar with. You'd be surprised how many reactors (especially vocal coaches) have spent their entire "reaction" stubbornly arguing that this exquisite song from Dimash to the whole world, is NOT Ave Maria! Sad.❤

Dimash has been training for that last note since he was working in China and having lessons with a Chinese vocal coach . Believe it is a Bel Canto technique/ exercise called “messa di voce”
Was a little surprised you didn’t mention that first perfectly on pitch phrase was a capella.
Dimash asked Igor to compose this arrangement just for him.
