I used to stop along the road to stretch and it is always a farm of some sort. It is great you showed this because most people have no idea where rubber begins it's journey.
Someone commented that this rubber is only used for chewing gum, nothing else, some still have no idea...lol
Rubber trees that produce good quality rubber sap👍
Always wondered how rubber was collected. Very cool. Thank ye rubber farmers for some of my art supplies.
lol, awesome, this rubber is used is so many products, more all the time.
Cheers mate. I enjoyed this clip a lot. I'd never seen a rubber tree farm.
I thought it was cool, did a lot of watching the farmers when I was working in Thailand years ago, worked very late a few nights and got to see them putting the cuts in the tree, that is very cool as well.
I am from India Assamese
Same wark
This was so cool!!! Relaxing job too!! Thanks Paul 😀
This is an interesting job, its very hard work but your outside all day, walking all day, carrying a heavy bucket all day...hard work all day... lol
lifeinthailand : ok...maybe not so relaxing..lol
Like any job, it would be interesting till it's not. It would still be cool growing rubber...lol
So much to see and do in beautiful Thailand, a Rubber tree farm, natural rubber none of that synthetic stuff, for a second I was confusing these with the tzictli(gum)tree over here, but these are Rubber trees. Looks like that lady isn't camera shy, she even turned towards ya and smiled!
Most Thai people love the camera...lol

This is the kind of stuff I like to find on UA-cam. Awesome videos all the time! And you’re from the greatest country in the world. That being said, of course I’d like to live somewhere like this.
Its something different and I think it's interesting, Tried to find a palm oil farm but did not find any trees with seeds on them, lots of trees though.
lifeinthailand you’re doing videos of a life that most of us may never see. It doesn’t matter what it is, it’s all awesome. Although palm oil farm would be really interesting.
lol, would have been cool but didn't happen.
Cool to see
I agree.
I was wondering about if they could only do one side amazing how well the tree heals. Very interesting stuff ;-)
They heal every day, amazing when you think about it.
These trees are cool
Happy new year Paul !
Pretty cool buddy
Happy New Year.
I love seeing how you do these sorts of things, very interesting. Thanks for sharing
It is cool and something very few people will ever be lucky enough to see, thanks for taking the time to watch.
That was very interesting.
Something different for sure.
Very cool indeed
Something different anyway.
thx fore the video
Thanks for taking the time to watch.
Good video. Always good to see the different farms and simple life.
I like seeing other farms and learning how other people live, there normal day.
Sent you a message on your web page. Just had some questions about the area. I'll be up there in a month or so. TX_Bounty@yahoo.com
I did not receive any message, try again, I will answer anything that I know the answer too.
WAs asking about reliable contractors in the Kantaralak area. I was wanting some work done and was going to see if you had any recommendations. Not sure how far builders travel and finding a reliable contractor in thailand seems impossible. You can email me is you wish TX_Bounty@yahoo.com, Thx in advance
The most stressful thing I have ever done is build a house, my contractor was a nightmare, and that seems to be about normal. I can't recommend anyone but I will say don't let them buy the materials and stay on site as much as possible, the minute your back is turned stupid happens....lol
In my experience most Thai workers are a nightmare to deal with, that is the reason I do as much of my stuff as I can myself.
Good Luck.
COOOOOOOL
lol
Very cool process, that would be a very tough to mechanize.
The fact that the tree has to be cut every day would be the hard part.
And in a new place each time, that'd be tough.
The trees are cut every two days and usually cut early in the morning starting at 1 am. You should not touch the latex because it leaves a sticky film on your fingers. Rubber prices fluctuate and now are not bad.
Thank you, I have seen them cut the tree at night, but did not know it was every 2nd day.
@@lifeinthailand 1 per 3 days is best for the health of the trees and the best latex output.
Cool vlog mate
Thanks.
I am indian boys i loved your vidio thanks a lot
Thank you so much 😀
Same
Super
Thanks.
I seen a plantation near Rayong on the way to Kho Samet, looked amazing..it baffles the mind how they got on to this idea in the first place.
The first time I saw it was mear Rayong when I was working there, those were huge trees, and they were everywhere.
Must of been the same place, very impressive.
Maybe.
That's something different. I wonder how often they collect the latex and how often they re cut the bark. Thanks for the tour. Best wishes Bob.
Every morning, for about 9 months a year, depending on weather, they normally stop during the dry season and can't do it if it is raining.
Takes 7 years for the tree to mature fully, takes a very long time for any of the plantations to see a profit, the workers have already seen a downside in the labor....
@@lifeinthailand How are things going? Are you still working there or did you move on ?
a friend there has some on her land.. so i look to know of more. low price for product now, but i much like natural, and think more can invest in small productions.
My friend I'm an Amazon delivery driver and I average for the year 6.3 miles per day.
For the two and a half months leading up to the New Year That average was 8.7 miles And I even had About a dozen days where I averageed between 10-12 miles in a day. The most that I've ever done in a single day was 12.8. in an 11-hour shift. Now I average roughly 3 mi more per day Then the average worker within my own DSP and that is because of the particular route that I have. My route consists of an extremely wealthy neighborhood that sprawls along a jagged coastline on the water and the average driveway is about 50 yds. When I first started to track the steps on my route after about a month into starting I was mind-blowing at how much I was walking I would have never guessed it was that much. That's mainly because when you're doing this job you're in the zone and time and distance seems to have no meaning. It's hard work but I love it.
that is cool
I think it would be a very interesting job, if I was looking for a job that is....lol
I like agriculture, i worked in a plant nursery as my first job out of school. here is a video of what i would have liked to do, a hydroponic raft lettuce farm. there is no stoop labor and the plants come to the worker. check it out.

From what I have heard, the rubber price is slightly better now than 1-2 year ago.
I think it was about 3 years ago when the rubber was basically worthless, I know I was in Malaysia at the time and it was a big problem there as well, mostly in the north I think along the Thai border, it was all palm oil where I was close to Singapore.
Hi how are you?? I.m from sumatera
that was cool thanks for taking us along.i heard about it but never seen it.
I have seen it many times but years ago before I was making videos.
Hello : I would like to know for how long the trees keep dropping sap after being cut..? Thanks
There is a tree in my garden. Its leaves are large and soft. When I remove any paper, it drops a white sticky liquid. Is this the latex ? Note: it in Egypt
Do you know what tool they are using to wipe the latex cups ? We don't have that here . Is it available online?
Rubber makes tires, erasers and more. You will need a lot of hardwork 😊
It is used is a lot of stuff, more all the time.
Pretty cool, so they cook that latex sap and it turns into rubber? or they sell the liquid? I've never seen that process.
There is something added to the liquid I think them it is dried in 1kg sheet/mats after that it is some on the world market.
Hi, the rubber latex will be mixed with diluted Glacial Acitic acid to coagulate. In the Philippines farmers sell their raw rubber (wet rubber) at arour 36 pesos per 1 kg.
Hi
Great video. I'm just curious. Do you just stopped at a stranger farm and started recording the video or you asked them permission first before you record?
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. I have only ever been asked once not to film and that was a street food seller in Vietnam, Most Thai people get upset if you don't include them in the video.
That goes to show you the different between Thailand and here in the States. If someone tries to do what you did. He'll be lucky if he is not end up in jail for trespassing, or at worse, end up with bullet holes in his body :(
I agree, it's a different world here, some things better, some not so much but I know which world I would rather live in.
hello can u help me where we get those bowl wipers
May I know the planting distanceof rubber tree?
Condom trees
Very important trees...lol
Can rubber grow in a cold weather?
No idea, but I have only ever seen it in very tropical areas that get a lot of rain.
As latex production declines with age, rubber trees are generally felled when they reach the age of 25 to 30 years. The earlier practice was to burn the trees, but in recent decades, the wood has been harvested for furniture making. Wikipedia , Hevea brasiliensis, the Pará rubber tree, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hevea_brasiliensis .
I was told by a rubber farmer about 15 years ago that they keep the trees for 20 years. the wood does make nice furniture, I have a table made from rubber tree wood, it's very nice.
I gotta put in a request on the catfish farm update
lol, not many fish video request anymore, have to do a big harvest as soon as I get time and then more baby fish, be a video soon.
lifeinthailand ok I'ma make sure I subscribe so I'll get notified
Did u study this techniques from kerala.
Cash crop farms are disappearing and industries are popping up with man made. Which is sucks. By the ways Thai has one of the biggest bamboo in the world. You should check it. They harvest them and make furniture. Only seen on UA-cam videos. I'm not sure what kind of dish they do with giant bamboo shoots they harvest. They are bigger then those two kids you have on videos. Interesting place to visit.
I read somewhere that the biggest bamboo is from Taiwan, but no idea if it is true.
What outside faling letex some wrong tapping
Did you really leave that cup on its side?
Keeps the rain, bugs and leaves out of the cup when the tree stopped making rubber
how destiny in this farm?
My tyre factory including condomsssssssss.
Most people don't know that condoms grown on trees.
checked the price of rubber from the tree in Thailand $1.40 a kg I would say US dollar
The farmer told me that he gets 40 baht per KG (just over 1 USD) but my Thai is not good enough to ask him how much liquid it takes to make 1kg of the rubber mat.
Rubber is processed and dried in 1kg mats, some farmers just sell the liquid too I think and it is processed after, probably depends on the size of the operation.
Length.....how many...meter...breath...meter..tell.me.brother
does it smell like rubber?
It does not smell at all, it is very similar to milk really, at least till it dries.
thank you for reply
No problem.
Iam interested in the job

Great video ! I wonder how many workers become allergic to latex 🤔
The percentage of people who develop this allergy is around 5% in the US but I bet it’s higher in Asia where most of the plantations are located.
I didn’t even know that allergy existed until 3 years ago and now my symptoms are severe 😞
It started with a skin rash on my hands when I’d wear rubber gloves to wash the dishes, and then hives on my upper body from elastics in clothing. It was very puzzling at first as I had never heard of that allergy. Then one day we bought a mattress made with latex foam…big mistake!! This daily exposure worsened my allergy and I had difficulty breathing, nausea…it took me a while to understand what was happening.
This is a progressive allergy, with a cumulative effect like bee stings, so every exposure can worsen your symptoms overnight with no warning. That’s what happened to me, and this has turned my life upside down. I wish there was more information about this allergy because once you have it it’s for life and there’s no treatment. Prevention is key!!
Now it’s too late for me but I’m trying to raise awareness so that people understand the risks of being exposed to latex.
Nowadays my allergy is severe, so if I touch a rubberband or a latex glove I have an immediate anaphylactic reaction and it’s terrifying. My blood pressure drops, my heart beats very fast and my throat swells shut. I have to carry an epipen wherever I go just in case I run into a balloon or something else made of latex.
I wish people were more careful around natural latex in order to keep exposure to a minimum.
As for synthetic rubbers they’re another kind of problem, either because they’re petroleum based or because they contain toxic additives. Basically natural rubber and synthetic rubber are both dangerous, but for different reasons!
