I work for Michelin. Its crazy how much its to make a tires. I love it. Its hard work but it is so much fun watching from the start to the end walking down the process of it.
Most likely the date stamp on which the tire was made. For example, a tire stamped 3723 would indicate that tire was manufactured the 37th week of the year 2023, same for one stamped 4413, manufactured the 44th week of the 2013.
Because they don t want their competitors to know what they put inside the tire. Michelin is the only company that makes their beadapex like this. For instance.
The only thing connecting your car to the road is four patches of rubber about the size of a folded piece of paper. There's a lot of technology in tires. Definitely don't cheap out.
I am an expert in the rubber industry from Syria, Aleppo city. I hope you will send me some names of companies to work with in the rubber field. Thank you.
There are 2 Michelin Tire factories in South Carolina. Neither of them is automated. 1 of the factories is over 50 years old and when you are on the factory floor it really shows its age. Some machines are older than the people using them.
You think making a tire is complex. Think about designing and building the machine that makes the tire. Worked with a US custom machine builder that made the tire building machines for a popular US brand.
They way normal tyres are made is filmed really well, the way large tyres are made is filmed really bad (too long courts, solemnly of small details of machinery without oversight, and without any views of the actual process when it is taking place)!
Thank God, I'm not the only one feel confused by those step-by-step visual. The narrator sounds sophisticated, but seems doesn't in line with the whole process/ description
That precisely what we DO. Even so you need rubber tyres for grip (in order not to start sliding left or right and in order not to keep sliding forward in bends in the road or when applying the brakes) and for shock absorption.
With global natural resource issues at the forefront, it’s a wonder that i.c.e. motor sports haven’t been outlawed yet. This drifting is a ridiculous waste.

Hope you get a purchase discount. I had to settle for Firestone because the Michelins were $400+ more for a set of 4.
haven't seen a human do one thing in this video, what is hard?
I worked for 4 years in the early 70's in Michelin factories making and inspecting D20 tyres on manual machines which was hard work.
Thank you for sharing your story. Have things in the factories changed a lot since those days?
Interesting...
Bro, are you an employee in the rubber tire industry? I want to ask you. Is it convenient to add a contact information?
Very impressive.
Incredible how far automation has come.
For me the best Tyres ever
Yeah they really are!
Why not some explanation what we are seeing

This is correct.
Cant be that. Once the rubber is cured, thats it. You cant just stamp it.

Can you help me I need some corrections on my on production of tire pls 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Really learned a lot. Random pictures in the plant. Wtf
One of the best motorcycle tyres out there…if not “the best” highly recommended…..👍
The best!
Tolle Arbeit, gute Qualität, Technologie und Nachbereitung. Ich kenne Sie, den Experten für synthetischen Kautschuk und Glasfaser ... Aleppo. .
Thank you
Great videography, technically speaking. Pretty much useless for a technically-inclined lay person who might want to see how tires are actually made.
I work in a tire factory, what do you want to know?
Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you
I’ve ought Michelin tires for 50 yrs no need to switch good tread ware no flats just plane good tires
This is why I never buy cheap tires. They're too important to leave them to companies that you never heard of.
Exactly. It can be end up being a life or death decision as well.

How much is the equipment worth for this factory? Please reply

Wow all that machinery, robots and tech and unique materials no wonder the average size 20 inch car tires are $1,000 a set... 😐😑
Mine were $2200! It’s crazy expensive for winter tires

Sure is
Ask them how they treat their new hires ??????

They are but they pay for themselves pretty quickly

I wont own anything but a Goodyear or Michelin tire. Little more $$ but it's worth it. I've own cheaper tires, loud! N not that great.
Yeah exactly. You end up spending more on cheaper tires in the long run, plus the added risk.
I think this channel is being trolled. So many goofy, harsh, and confusing comments.
To be honest I think Michelin tires aren’t worth triple the money if they aren’t reliable

Yep!
Drifting should definitely shift over to Electric. More torque and Instant torque from electric engines is really helpful for drifting.
I would think electric cars would be a little too heavy for drifting.
