I was thinking if everyone chops the rubber to put in durian fruit will the price of rubber increase , the less rubber left , and durian decrease the more plantations go in . I dont think its a direct correlation of supply/demand (economics 101) when you are dealing with rubber or durian. I was watching a doco on the rubber trade, and it seems like its controlled by a handful of tyre making cartels. They keep the sale price very low and most small farms that grow durian don't have any power to negotiate a better price. When it comes to durian, the difficulty in growing durian vs market demand which is 20% annual growth rate for the last many years, means there is a long way to go before the supply side exceeds market demand. Lots of stories of large durian farms being planted in Laos Cambodia & Malaysia by corporate interests, but until you see that fruit hit the market I don't see a glut of durian coming onto the market for many many yrs. If you consider all the farming and Ag option you can try in Thailand, I am sure durian still gives you the best bang for bucks, if planted and managed properly
I have 500 trees. It basically pays for our two cell phones each month. A small percentage goes to my brother in law who does all the work to collect the latex and fertilize the trees.
I had about the same on another farm and ended up taking them out same here it was enough to pay for a phone bill or two and the rest going the cutter and fertilizer
Why is the money so small, my wifes family have 60 rai of rubber trees and they say on a good month they can take between 40-50k baht?! they have about 2200 trees roughly.

@@formertenant9276 it goes by ton not per tree .we get 1600b per ton for the trunk but must be cut down to size 1.2 m and for the rest of the tree we get 600 b per ton

i leve in ( USA) i have farm in loa ,i have 30 ,000 trees ,i 30% i give to my cousin 70 % ,i make alittle i happy what i make

Hey there, I was speaking to my wife about selling rubber trees and she said you can get about 1500baht per tree dependent on size of course??

The profit per month was about 500 USD about 7 to 8 months a year
