I'm an Eastern Christian and I've always felt more culturally comfortable with my Muslim friends than with many Western Christians, even if our theology is totally different. I'm guessing you just watched sheikh Abdal Hakim Murad's khutbah haha so did I! For anyone who hasnt, I recommend it, its called kings and queens on Cambridge Central Mosque's UA-cam channel. Sheikh AHM also mentions there that king Charles learnt Arabic, at least to some extent, for the purpose of understanding the Qur'an subhanAllah, as reported (with some outrage and confusion) by British mainstream media around a decade ago. I'm an Eastern Christian and I've always felt more culturally comfortable with my Muslim friends than with many Western Christians, even if our theology is totally different. I expected his words to be generic Western sympathy but he actually seems really read-up on Islamic history (more so than myself for sure) and made remarks which are original, insightful and rich. May Allah forgive me for underestimating him. And he praised the great Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr!!! One of my favourites (along with Guenon and Dr. Lings).
Its easy to think they have it all because of their status and financial freedom, but it must be so tough to seriously contemplate submitting to Allah upon Islam because, well... he's the Head of the Anglican Church and his family have been for centuries! May Allah guide the King and his family and grant them patience in this tough time.

I suggest you read up on why Abu Talib and the Emperor Heraclius did not accept Islam. I mean there's a reason why it says in the Quran that the companions who accepted Islam before the conquest of Makkah can never be equal to the companions who accepted Islam after the conquest of Makkah (i.e when Islam became very popular).

True, but it's the companions who accepted Islam AFTER the conquest who can never be equal to those who accepted it BEFORE the conquest.
@@hassanmirza2392 ameen my brother. Her majesty the Queen was one of the last people here in the UK of her stature to openly speak about the importance of faith. My parents and i always deeply admired her and liked to tune in to her Christmas messages.
I fear that Christianity in the UK has by and large contented itself with being dragged behind the secular wave (on the intellectual plane) for many decades now and might be in danger of becoming a kind of antique which people respect as an echo of a great period but which is of no practical use anymore, which makes life tougher for all people of faith here. I feel as though the Queen came across as a very devoted person, to her values, to her family and to God, which made her part of a dying breed of Christians here in the UK.
May the Most Merciful Allah guide him. I always liked him because of his kind words of Islam

I have been aware of his admiration of Islam for decades. I have already mentioned this to my family who only knew him from 'The Crown'. I personally believe we are lucky to have mo monarch with such a positive and detailed knowledge of Islam.
I concur fully with your comments my dear friend. He's the kind of monarch that will be accepted fully in the Muslim world and will build bridges. It can only be good for Christian-Muslim unity. I'm sure he will do it in an apolitical and non partisan way.

Well done Paul, a very timely video. I have always thought of him as a man with an open rational mind. His many years in the back seat probably gave him the chance to read a lot and reflect and it takes courage for him to say these things in these times. We are a peace loving people from the eastern coast of Africa whose civilisation is said to have been comparable to that of Cordoba. We were ravaged by the Portuguese and then by the British who took away our our heritage and identity. In 1957 the Queen ordered for the destruction of archival documents from the coast. Britain knows best about our history and the extent of damage that they occasioned upon us ..If he shall be a just king we expect to see him coming to the Swahili community directly and compensating our losses.
