This was such a great sequel and my personal favorite of the franchise. Having jigsaw take center stage was great seeing how his demented mind works. The twist was also great it caught me so off guard having Amanda being a jigsaw apprentice, the son being in a “safe place” meaning he was in the safe, and the video feed being prerecorded like wow. That needle pit trap has always stuck with me especially since they are used needles like gross. Fun fact all those needles were real and they took out the metal needle of every single one and replaced with it a rubber one. The opening trap the Venus flytrap was great too and I would’ve died cause I’m not cutting out my eye.
Few things to notice: 1) Amanda forcing herself to watch Xavier cutting himself. 2) if you look closely at Jigsaw's face as the camera pulls back (ending scene) you can see him slowly smiling
I always found Amanda being thrown in the pit extra devastating not only because the trap wasn’t meant for her but also because she’s an addict of intravenous drugs, the needles could be massively triggering for her

I've thought about this a lot actually. It's not the gore that upsets me, totally cool if an impossible creature does the damage. For me, it's that humans are doing it to humans. I get upset by it because it comes with the realization that if someone (writers) came up with this idea, then anyone can come up with and execute similar ideas. The needle pit is one of the best because just so mean. It's designed to seem so painful. In real life it was plastic syringes, painted and fitted with flexible plastic needles, and covered in a jelly slime mixture. Took 3 days to film and used 120,000 syringes.
@@LordVolkov There was a whole team of people disassembling syringes throwing out the needles and replacing them with fiber-optic filament tips. All the syringes were made of plastic to be even safer and those horrifying glass sounds were added in. Still I do understand the anxiety lol

14:17 Funny thing about this game. All of those needles are actual needles that they changed the tips to be rubber so it wouldn't actually hurt anyone. However, during shooting they realised a couple of the tips weren't changed and they had to go through the entire pit to see if all 120,000+ needles were rubber again
I see the "trapped in the house part" in this movie as a secondary story line that does not need overthinking. The main story is what's happening between jigsaw and the father.
Finally you're revisiting Saw. This is my third favorite sequel behind X and VI respectively. Just as a fair warning the story gets a bit convoluted post-Saw III, but they're fun watches.
These movies go from gory sherlock holmes to how much blood and body parts can we fit in one movie but they are all connected and worth a watch for the plot twists alone
It's like, I definitely wouldn't want to force you to watch any of the others past this point (even though I love them), but you should totally watch Saw X.
she does need to continue the series cause in saw x after credits scene someone appears ruining saw 4 surprise and in saw 11 maybe someone else will appear too
Saw 3 and Saw X are my favorites of the franchise!! I recommend both :D Saw X actually takes place between Saw 1 & 2 so you don’t actually need to watch the entire franchise to enjoy and understand it 😝
If I'm questioning to keep someone close or not, I ask them if they feel bad about Amanda Young. If they do feel bad about a serial killer sociopath, they'll likely become one.
A little behind the scenes knowledge about the Needle Pit Trap - the crew literally took EVERY SINGLE NEEDLE out of the syringes and replaced them all with plastic tips, the ones that are actually embedded in Amanda are from a prosthetic they made for her after she gets out. Its actually awesome checking out behind the scenes of all these movies.
there isn't anything i love more than the last 15 minutes of a saw movie. watching everything slot into place is so fun that even if you didn't like parts of the movie it makes it worth the watch. i will say the next two best movies in this series are 6 and then 3 if you plan to watch more.
I would recommend for you to watch the whole series just because it’s entertaining to see how invested you are in trying to figure out what’s happening and what certain things mean as the movie goes along. Totally worth watching your reaction! 👏🏽👏🏽
a very cool scene is when Mathew got the house you can see the blood in the bodies is solid and old but at that moment you don't know yet the tape wasn't live so you don't bay attention to that detail 😅
and Jonas’ body is already starting to decompose so that’s an indicator his body has been there a while even tho he “just died” on screen not too long before
I love how your divulging into this franchise with a fresh perspective for each film. Yes it gets very gory as the franchise rolls on but the intricacy of Jigsaw and how he goes about testing those "unworthy of the life they were given" makes it such a fantastic story and an iconic villain - Tobin Bell playing as John Kramer/Jigsaw is a match made in villian heaven cause i firmly believe nobody else could portray the franchise he has being in that role. I implore you, if you are going to keep going, please do more videos like this cause i always love watching people who are completely dead set on never watching a SAW movie, i tell them just watch the 1st one and if you dont like it, you dont have to watch more. Ah saw 2… my first SAW film, I love it so much! Watched it when I was around 6 - 8, so it holds a special place in my heart :3 thanks for continuing this franchise it’s one of my top 3 horror franchises of all time
The Saw series gets a bit more gruesome at times in later movies I will admit that, but if you liked finding the original Saw bathroom in this movie this series is FULL of tons of twists, turns, flashbacks, and ways to tie the movies together. Its bloody. Very bloody. But it basically turns into a horror soap opera, and I love it for all its cheesiness too, each movie has one of those great callback flashback sequences at the end and its always a rush of fun as you tie in the clues you might have noticed and the ones you might not. Please keep watching but I understand if the gore gets too much.
The first three saw movies are not that much gore since the creators of it are behind it. They wanted to make one, but due to its success they made a sequel, and after knowing the producer of the movies died they went back for a final movie as a tribute ending it as a trilogy. Everything after it, it’s just the studio wanting some money
never clicked a noti faster holyyyy im excited for this edit: you have to watch the whole series im sure you'll love it, it turns into a damn soap opera :D
"I did not see that coming" is the phrase that applies to basically all the Saw movies. They are all very creative and unpredictable, even the weaker ones. Some people will tell you to skip some of the movies, but don't do that. The entire franchise is like that with twists that will blow your mind at the end, one of the reasons why it's such a great franchise.
Oh you definitely need to watch at least a few more. It's so nice to see how John or Amanda construct their traps and how they choose their victims. Even to the minute nuances in how they both operate. I love this series and I love you bestie!
oh, reading out the puzzle on the screen actually made it kinda easy to solve. you cant implant a memory so "back of your mind" has to be literal, what's over a rainbow are clouds and a sun, the thing they all have in common is that they were convicted by the same person, the order of the combination lock has to do with the order they were arrested (this is me guessing having not seen this before) the kid is the dic's son who arrested them boom. got it...i think?
Jigsaw being such an interesting villain is what made this franchise so popular and successful. The gore does ramp up a lot starting with 3, but the story continues to be really interesting so if you enjoyed the character of Jigsaw you should absolutely continue watching the series
i had little skeleton head toy what made that exact laugh noice at the beginning and we used it in "horror cave" in our school :D Now thinking back it was really funny that we "actors" who scared ppl just standing in pitch black halways and toilets and waiting ppl to scare xD And the fact that how well you actually see in pitch black environment when you stay there long enough its kinda scary to think who or what might be lurking there.. just something to keep in mind 😅😂
hey queen!! Yes I definitely think you should watch Saw III ! Also I don't know if you've watched Happy Death Day before or not but I think it's such a fun watch especially as a horror/comedy movie! I usually don't like horror/comedy because it's not spooky enough but I think that movie is so fun and you should definitely check it out! Keep slaying frfr
You wanna know the messed up thing is? All of these traps could have been overcome if they just paid attention. The most damning one was when the girl put her hands through the razor box. She didn’t even play the message. And she fell into the obvious trick
If so far you've liked how Jigsaw handles logic and the human mind and the detailed and twisted way of planning and executing his plans... you still have a LOT to see. Jigsaw is an icon, one of the best created villains in the world of horror films. The way in which each film shows new pieces of the puzzle of its philosophy is masterful. The development of his ideology and his complete plan are being developed and made known with small or large details that we see film after film. So try to pay attention to details, conversations, locations, and events that may not seem relevant or confusing at the very first moment... Beyond being a saga with deadly games, it is a saga that shows how a "villain" MASTERFULLY develops his ideology, whether or not you agree with the way in which he does it. Excited to see your new videos, I love Saw reactions videos, so I am here for the next ones!
Saw III has two of the nastiest traps in the entire franchise, so if you're gonna watch it... prepare yourself. Then again you've seen Terrifier so you'll probably be okay 😂 I personally did not like Saw III but others seem to disagree. My favourites are I, II, VI, and X.
The first movie blew my mind. This one as well. Starting with Saw III it’s pretty much just about elaborate traps. There’s still a bunch of twists and turns but they almost take a back seat to the gore. If you can handle the blood, the puzzles are pretty interesting. And watching them all has quite a payoff at the end.
Saw 1-6 are masterpieces . Saw 7 is decent but it gets a little cheesy. Jigsaw and Spiral are something… and Saw X was such a good comeback movie for this franchise
The first two movies are surprisingly decent, and don't lean overly hard into the gore, grunge and traps. They have a strong investigative/psychological element to them. That starts to change with the third movie (which is still decent) and there's a sharp downturn at the fourth and onward.
You have to watch them all! Their is so many things interconnected, plus many more twists, and more! I can't say due to spoilers but you need to watch all, Saw X is the latest but the next, Saw 11 is next year! Saw 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Jigsaw (Saw 8), Spiral, Saw X (10) Saw 11 was supposed to release this year but pushed back to next year. A great horror franchise.
I do like the fact that you said he's not in a safe is he and it turns out that was actually what happened and then you also pointed out that you didn't trust the fact that Amanda was laying face on the ground and that it was too similar to jigsaw I never even would have thought of that
I would definitely recommend watching saw 3, and eventually if you don't feel like watching the others PLEASE watch saw 10. It's just a really good movie!
I am a big time horro movie fan, and I have to say that you have incredible observational skills, link clues in an intuitive manner, and have an enviable aility to understand complex mystery.
Saw 3 has one of my favorite medical scenes ever! I recommend watching the 3rd one for sure! I don't think I've seen the 4th and on, but it's a fun and entertaining franchise ☺️

I didn’t realise you are in Rhode Island. Grew up next door in Mystic, Ct.
Love your reactions.
i had little skeleton head toy what made that exact laugh noice at the beginning and we used it in "horror cave" in our school :D Now thinking back it was really funny that we "actors" who scared ppl just standing in pitch black halways and toilets and waiting ppl to scare xD And the fact that how well you actually see in pitch black environment when you stay there long enough its kinda scary to think who or what might be lurking there.. just something to keep in mind 😅😂
And she fell into the obvious trick
i love your reactions sm and i would love for you to continue reacting to all of the saw movies ❤
Please do the rest of the franchise! I love your reactions and how you catch onto the clues!❤
Check out these movies Hostel(2005), House Of Wax(2005), and Wrong Turn(2003).
I’d say Hostel II as well! but Hostel III is dog water, don’t even bother.
'nerve agent' always immediately sparks the memory of the jerma gas rant
Saw III has two of the nastiest traps in the entire franchise, so if you're gonna watch it... prepare yourself. Then again you've seen Terrifier so you'll probably be okay 😂 I personally did not like Saw III but others seem to disagree. My favourites are I, II, VI, and X.
What was the nasty one in 3? Remind me 😢
i dont remember, but is the pig one in 3 maybe? That one always got to me.
@@RonaldDinniled1 probably the pig and the twisting limbs one
@@holssvsp I forgot about those 😭😭😭😭🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
agree. i found saw III to be very intense, even though i usually don't mind gore as much
The first movie blew my mind. This one as well. Starting with Saw III it’s pretty much just about elaborate traps. There’s still a bunch of twists and turns but they almost take a back seat to the gore. If you can handle the blood, the puzzles are pretty interesting. And watching them all has quite a payoff at the end.
The thing you gotta remember about the Saw Franchise is that's its all an ongoing gory soap opera. It's all connected.
Saw 1-6 are masterpieces . Saw 7 is decent but it gets a little cheesy. Jigsaw and Spiral are something… and Saw X was such a good comeback movie for this franchise
Time for Saw 3 babyyyyyy!!!!!!🥳 So excited you’re checking these out and that I voted for this movie on your roll lol
After watching Caitlin make so many incorrect guesses during the Scream franchise, it's nice for her to get the W by guessing the twists this time 😂
Do the whole series please. Absolutely loved this video
Saw 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Jigsaw (Saw 8), Spiral, Saw X (10)
Saw 11 was supposed to release this year but pushed back to next year.
A great horror franchise.
I do like the fact that you said he's not in a safe is he and it turns out that was actually what happened and then you also pointed out that you didn't trust the fact that Amanda was laying face on the ground and that it was too similar to jigsaw I never even would have thought of that
It’s a really super nice movie …I don’t know what the jumping back is about 😂😅
OH! So that's what I need to put up with eyeball stuff in horror movies. Someone else freaking out more than I do. Got it. 👍🏻👍🏻
I would definitely recommend watching saw 3, and eventually if you don't feel like watching the others PLEASE watch saw 10. It's just a really good movie!
the first trap of this movie = id reather dieeeeee, DO NOT COME CLOSE TO MY EYEBALL AAAAAAAAA
Saw 3 is the only movie Ive ever walked out on. Strangely enough it was the frozen scene that hit the hardest
Please do them all
I can’t wait for you to get to Saw X 😭😭 it’s such a good one!! You’ll love it
Technically you can watch Saw X next. Then Saw 3
GREAT REACTION AND YOU ARE SO SMART TO GET THE CLUES FROM THE BEGINING
I watched this with a group the first time and they were so mad because i figurec out the three twists 🤣
This is still the best Saw film.
I remember part 4 being the first one I had to step out of the theater for a moment to get fresh air.
amanda is one of my fav horror characters ever tbh
I am a big time horro movie fan, and I have to say that you have incredible observational skills, link clues in an intuitive manner, and have an enviable aility to understand complex mystery.
Saw 3 has one of my favorite medical scenes ever! I recommend watching the 3rd one for sure! I don't think I've seen the 4th and on, but it's a fun and entertaining franchise ☺️
Finally!!! been waiting for so long for you to react to this
I like it when you are so focused on every detail of the movie. I hope you watch more Saw movies.
Saw II is my favorite though whoever acted Xavier was a chad
PLEASE WATCH THIS WHOLE FRANCHISE. This is my favorite horror franchise, it so good!
You were face down on the floor I've learnt my lesson with people face down on the floor
. Dead 😂😂😂😂😂😂
