Always my fave Batmobile. Since I'm an oldtimer, I had built the 1956 Revell Lincoln Futura concept car which was much later modified into the TV show Batmobile by Barris Kustom Industries. The first time I saw it on the TV series I recognized it as the Lincoln Futura. Nice job as always Chris adding your magical touches to this beauty.

i bought this kit months ago and it is on my bucket list. And now I get to see a professional build one! That's a cool build. My favorite scenes are the POW, ZAP, WAM BAM and when they drove the b-mobile out of the b-cave!

I remember many years ago when I saw the batmobile out the window of the bus I was on in Hamilton, Ontario and due to rush hour traffic, I was able to watch it for quite a few minutes...made my day!

This was really nice-the antenna thingy is either the bat beam-a laser shoots out of it or the switch to operate the chain cutter on the corgi toy version-there is only one Batmobile and this is it.

THIS makes me want to build even more! So thanks again for these awesome videos you put out every-single week, sometimes more than once a week. Whatever you put up, is always cool. My buddy, J.J. Jones, spent the summer of 66 or 67 (I can't remember and J.J. is "gone" sadly). Anyway he towed one of the show cars to car shows (novel). They had him drive an old '49 Chev fastback as the tow car. PLUS, the Batmobile had NO engine so it was push, push, push. Then put up with Chevy issues then push some more. Not J.J.'s best summer. Anyway, this has inspired me to diorama that whole mess - Batmobile, Chev fastback and trailer have been ordered.
    Thanks soooo much for sharing...

The 1966 version of the Batmobile is my favorite version of all. Alot of people don't know this, but the 1966 Batmobile was built and customized by famous hot rod customizer "George Barris" using a 1955 Lincoln Futura. Another thing alot of people don't know is that George Barris also custom built a bicycle for Eddie Munster of the TV series "The Munsters" but it NEVER appeared in any episode of the show. But I actually read online that in between filming for The Munsters tv series, Butch Patrick ( the child actor who played as Eddie Munster ) would sometimes be seen cruising around Universal Studios in Hollywood in his full Wearwolf make-up and costume on the bicycle and that one day he hit a patch of oil and Eddie Munster skidded the bike and wreaked it. But fortunately the bicycle wasn't damaged and Eddie Munster wasn't hurt, just shaken up a little. But if you want to see pictures of the bicycle, be sure to check them out online. Just punch in the words "Eddie Munster bicycle photos and it should pull up several photos of it. There's even a really good black and white photo of Eddie Munster posing with the bicycle. Awesome build Chris ! As always !

At the local hot rod Auto show there was Robin and Wolfman Jack at a table signing a photo of them . The Batmobile was on display next to them but it was an odd version done with a felt fiber spray onto the paint to look like Bat skin .
The infomation Plaque said that the non reflective surface was for night driving to sneak up on villians while void of Street Light and Moonlight shine from a normal gloss paint .
Never saw that version since the 1967 Auto Show , Barris had said that he made 5 cars for different functions but this one might have been a Static version to tour N.America at the auto shows.

About a decade ago, I attended a Fathers Day Roadster Show in Pomona, CA. George Barris was there in a covered booth signing autographs and talking to his fans (I said hi) and he had a Batmobile there next to the booth. It was one of the cars used in the series, and the reverse opening hood was open about a foot. I took a peak inside and saw that rather than a Bat Turbine, the car was powered by a Bat 390, (big block Ford) which would be a good way to go when adding an engine to this kit for total accuracy.

You're welcome Chris. Glad I could share some of the history with you and your other subscribers. I'm a HUGE Batman fan. Me and a good friend of mine took a trip to Atlanta Georgia to Six Flags and had our pictures taken with the Batmobile. I think it was a replica of the Batmobile like the one Michael Keaton drove in the Batman movie with Jack Nicholson as The Joker. They used to do what they called the Batman stunt show. I got to see it ! During the show, The Joker and his hinchmen crashed a party that Bruce Wayne and Vickie Vale where having. Then the Joker stole the Batmobile and almost ran over Batman. And of course Batman kicked the Joker's butt ! It was awesome ! I love Batman !

Wow....this is NOT a simple repro of the old Aurora kit at all! This is really nice, despite being a snap-tite. I'm not sure if you remember the old Aurora kit but all the kids who liked models back then (60's) eventually got one. Some of us were even lucky enough to get Green Hornet's 'Black Beauty'. Btw, that silver and gold assembly in front of the windshield has 2 purposes. It was the antenna for the Detect-a-scope and it was also the projector for the Bat-Ray, depending on what episode you watched lol. Those pipes in the back aren't exhausts either. They are again, dual purposed being an emergency flare system and, an anti-theft system. A label for the signal flares was a flip down that said Anti-Theft during normal ops and flipped down to read 'Starter' when Batman and Robin parked on the street. This was demonstrated when the Joker (I think?) once tried to steal the Batmobile. I'd want to hyper detail this kit but it would be hard to choose which version of the interior to do. Or if I would cut open the doors, engine and trunk given how nice the body is on the kit. Ah....one day lol. Thanks again for a great kit reveal and build.

My favorite scene was when Batman is on the fishing wharf, with a bomb( you know the round bomb with a lit fuse in it), he's going from side to side, one side has a fisherman the other side has a boy and girl in a boat, Batman looks at the camera, says " YOU know some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!" Nice work as always. Thumbs up. Got a question, in the TV series of Batman, they always show when the Batmobile takes off, it leaves burnout marks from the rear tires. Now if this car is a Thrust Drive, like a rocket, why does it spin the rear tires at take off?

I built this snap kit too a couple of years back. The decals in my example were shocking though. They simply would not adhere to the parts regardless of what I did. I also left the figures out as that made it seem too toy like

If you're having trouble identifying some of the parts from that snap-on batmobile kit, let me help you with that, the bat phone, the silver the three silver things are the exhausts, that he handle is the bat-turn lever when the car does an emergency u-turn. all other parts are having trouble identifying like the shifter and the so-called siren is the bat roof emergency light.

I always liked when they were exiting the Bat cave. I remember those bushes how they moved outta the way for the Bat Mobile. and then went directly back into the same place where they came from. Do you think Robin's knuckles were white under those glove? maybe that's why he wore them? Anyway, POW, BIFF, BAM. Great job, Batman. Keep up the great work. Tom T4, out. God go before you always.
