Wow, do I remember this. It was on all of the DC comic book back covers. All of these and more Aurora kits (especially Land of the Giants, Invaders and Voyage fo the Bottom of the Sea). Even though the 70s reissues were perfectly timed for me for some reason almost none of these were available in stores near me, unfortunately. I would've loved those Comic Scene ones (especially Superboy); what great box art we had back then. And i had no idea comics came with them. Thanks for the video and details. (And who of us would guessed Spidey's villain (Kraven the Hunter) would one day get starting role in his own movie (soon to be released as of my writing this).
I have the Polar Lights reissue of the Lost Space 420 kit from around 1998. I modified the Chariot to have all of the windows open and have an interior. I used a clear plastic test tube to make the corner windows of the Chariot and a clear plastic CD cover for the flat windows. It bugged that there was no Judy figure in either the 419 or 420 version of this kit so I sacrificed my re-issued 419 kit I had built a year before to create one. I took the Penny and Maureen figures, modified Penny's head and attached it to Maureen's body to make Judy. I did not worry about Dr. Smith or the Robot since neither was with the Robinsons when they encountered the Cyclops in the show.
@@TheModelVault Oh, and I also took the small Enterprise that came with the K-7 model, put it on a tall wire and have it behind the model, thereby duplicating the box art.
I got a little more "R" rated with mine, I added a small extension to the base on Spock's right and I got a Moeibus Monster Scenes re-issue of the "Victim" female figure. I carefully sanded away all of her clothing, added nipples to her exposed breasts added a barely there loin cloth, painted her green with black hair like an Orion and posed her grabbing Spock's arm that is holding the phaser to stop him from shooting her pet.
How did you manage to get all these? And the paint ups are awesome ❤great series! Have u seen all the moebius re issues???? I have the entire run of the moebius monster scenes plus the monogram reissue of the monsters of the movies 2nd Frankenstein
The Lone Ranger and Tonto look really nice.
Enjoyed the vid but we didn't see the Seaview, Flying Sub or the Spindrift?

Thanks for watching! Yes i still have the comics for the Hulk and Spider-man myself.
Love the old Aurora models. The Mod Squad Woody is a1951 Mercury not a 52.
That Penguin really does looks like Burgess Meredith!
lol, thanks for watching!
Yes indeed!

Thanks for watching, this is actually a documentary and not items i painted myself.
Why eliminate the signs? I mean, they weren't on a separate sprue or anything.
I'm not sure?
Sadly, as a young child, I had some of these and they ended up as bath toys.😮💨
Yes i played with my Spider-Man and Hulk all the time too! Thanks for watching!
