    Hi Josh...
Just watching this prompted me to describe my recent flight to Menorca from Bournemouth here in the UK with a TUI package holiday
It was just me and my 14 year old daughter. We were both tired as it was an early flight and we are both nervous fliers.
We boarded and my daughter immediately burst into tears and was desperate to get off.
Eventually I had to speak to the cabin crew.
A lady called Claire took Amy to one side, reassured her how great the captain was and gave her a hug. Amy calmed down but then started crying again.
Claire then moved us to the very front seats where we had more room next to the cabin crew.
She reassured Amy again (obviously I was too) enough that we could take off.. I believe it was a 737.
Once in the air the view was incredible and Amy burst into laughter and did a high five with me. She settled down and we had a fantastic flight.
Claire and her colleague Colin checked on us regularly. We had a lovely coffee and soft drinks as is a short flight.
When we landed Claire and Colin gave Amy a gift from the shop of chocolate turtles .. a lovely gesture.
This was amazing service on a fairly budget flight...
Very well done to Claire and Colin and to be honest, all the TUI staff were very nice, helpful and professional 😊

We flew last week Singapore Airlines economy LGW-SIN and back...sadly felt their service wasn't as good as last year we didn't even have a drinks service before the meal service on the return 🤷‍♀️ they didn't engage with customers, meal choices ran out very quickly, didn't put all the snacks out it was like we were inconveniencing them asking for a snack or a cup of tea. Crew were rarely in the cabin. The older style of their A350 (only 7 years old but a clear difference to the more recent batch of their A350) is dated and less roomy than the newer. It was very sad as last year we felt they were fantastic hence we booked with them again! Maybe you could try them longhaul in economy? I know you have flown many times with them but when we paid more than we did last year you feel let down!

02:14 Yes, it seems to be a trend. As an example, Finnair has a fantastic Business class, however, they split the Business class into Light, Classic, and Flex. The "Flex" is the only option that is actually how Business class used to be in most airlines. Business class "Light" means no checked in luggage, no seat selection, no lounge access and no ticket changes. Classic has still no seat selection (!), but checked luggage included, lounge included, ticket changes included. It is only in the Flex option you finally get the seat selection as "included".

You did a brutally honest review on Albania's flag carrier--and your video footage gave people every reason NOT to fly Air Albania. You get a Business Class ticket, and in the end you are offered downgraded products? What an insult for the customer who paid the price but didn't get what he expected. And what was that, 'no Coke?' and that coffee what you requested was not served to you? The recalcitrant attitude of its flight attendants is also a point against the airline. Air Albania drastically needs to shape up its entire operations for it to become a top-notch world-class flag carrier--or else they will have to ship out, ending up in bankruptcy for NOT delivering what the flyer expects. A painful but true reality Air Albania needs to fathom--and think about on how to drastically improve itself

Hey Josh! Been cabin crew for about 5 years now. Me myself I have visible tattoos, yes, i can wear long sleeve shirt but it helps to have a short sleeve shirt, especially on high season as it can get very hot and we tend to sweat, so it gives a bit of relief and freshness during the duty. However it really depends on what kind of tattoos you have. Having more comfortable footwear is also a good thing unless you are wearing a sneakers ofc... some days our duties can reach up to 16-18 hours preforming short haul flights, yes- short haul. This is very problematic with ladies as they have to wear heeled shoes, so having more comfortable footwear kind of helps. About chewing gum... sometimes i tend to pop some mint or gum, after having a coffee, so i don't have a coffee breath. But I do it in galley where noone sees me and before getting back into cabin I remove it. It's some of the cabin crew who doesn't follow these basic grooming guidelines, especially young ones as they tend to be rebel and "you can't tell me what to do" kind of people. Hope it gives you some insight of why these grooming changes are happening.

Sadly, it’s the way most airlines are going. If it’s bad in Business Class, then it’s even worse for us plebs who travel in Economy. I remember getting a cooked breakfast in Economy on a Dan-Air flight from Gatwick to Manchester in the early 1990s. I guess that’s why they went bust. Went BA Club Europe from LGW to Faro and back in Oct 2022 and the food was horrible (the service wasn’t much better either). Everything’s being ‘dumbed down’ these days, even on so many trains. Used to love travelling but these days I loathe it; it’s nothing but hassle all the way.

Even with Qatar Airways, lounge access for Business Class passengers is no longer a matter of course. If you are not careful and book the "Business Lite" fare, lounge access is not included. Lounge access is only included from "Business Classic" upwards.
You now also pay extra to reserve a seat in the Business Lite and Business Classic fares. On the Madrid - Doha - Bangkok route, for example, this amounts to around 70 euros - per segment. This was different at the beginning of the year.

its like this everywhere in every customer service situation. More money for less. Paid full on Business class with United Airlines to Mexico. Showed up an hour early to the domestic airport (PVD) for a US Leg of the flight. Got on-line for First/Business class check in. One couple in front of us. We sat there for 45 minutes watching the time tick by for missing our flight. Guy behind us starts freaking out because they aren't checking in premium passengers. They were literally like screw you we don't care if you paid double for this flight. And if you raise your voice at us, we'll have you kicked out of the airport. Typical Tyrannical Airport behavior. My wife and I left the line/ printed our tickets out and dragged our bags through security and were the last ones seated for the flight. Never flown them since that experience. I filed a complaint. Was never ever contacted. What an industry.

Josh, another great video and review.. Cheers to you.. I think part of the reason why business and first class as a distinct premier class is shrinking is the price tag for a lot of people especially when there is nothing given in return and I believe the airlines know this and are still offer a small number of seats as premier class just to look equal to others but then offer shit in return thinking tomorrow this class won't exist anymore and it is for time being for the few suckers out there who still believe in the product.. It is sad but this is my opinion.. I personally have only flown (upgraded) business class once on a 15 hour flight from LAX to SYD airport because I was ill and wanted to get some sleep in.. Although I can afford to fly first class on every flight I take, my mentallity has been the extra money can go a along way in the philanthropic work I do and I settle for economy every time.. I don’t think he’s an airline review vlogger anymore like you or Dan or the other people you mentioned. It is quite clear in his videos that he works with airlines, he is given access by them, which actually makes for very interesting and informative content. While airline reviews like yours are interesting and informative as well, you cover a different facet of the industry. Yours is a decidedly customer experience focused, while his is more of a general coverage of the airline industry. Different topics and focus, but both have a place in aviation media. As an avid traveller and for someone who has been in the industry for years I really appreciate your reviews and feedback on the routes and airlines you use. This is exceptionally useful as I am a partner in a travel company and can use it if clients ask questions. However, something I have notice last couple of vlogs is that you have made negative comments or slight side swipes towards Sam Chui. While you are entitled to your view and that his model is totally different. By talking negatively of someone I feel does not reflect well on you and the hard work you do. I believe there are other ways to get your message across without mentioning specifics. Stay good at what you do and not by belittling others and what they do, even if you do not agree on their model.
When it comes to service I do want to add the fact thatBA puts priority tags on cases but the cases never come out first. It is all very random. I do not know why this it’s happening but I fly BA almost 99% of my flights and in 4 years my bags have come out priority. You should put it to the test.

As an Albanian myself, you're absolutely right on every ground here. Very few Albanians use the airline in spite of being the "flagbearer" just because we all know how shitty the service is for the price. Nobody from the crew has any real service training, I would assume most of them have moved from other low-budget airlines which don't actually offer higher-tier tickets above economy.
Just as a bit of extra information, Air Albania was actually founded in cooperation with Turkish Airlines and sometimes they operate jointly, although it is (supposedly) entirely state-managed by Albania. The funny thing is that in spite of supposedly being state-managed, it's prices even for economy class are quite a bit more expensive than alternative airlines, not to mention the limited flight destinations.
The bad service would almost be forgivable if the prices reflected the quality, but unfortunately that is not the case at the moment.
Hopefully they look into all of these horrible reviews they're getting, both from Albanians and foreigners and improve the service, because as it stands right now t's frankly a little bit embarrassing holding that name.

I've never been in Albania, but I do know quite a few people who have, and they all speak of it with stars in their eyes, with only the best praise for the sights (especially the coast and the charming Ottoman-era towns), the hospitality of the people (they say it's exactly as Josh said: they appear grumpy at first, maybe they're a bit cautious with strangers, but it doesn't take long for them to reveal their real kind and warm nature), the food, the cafés (best in Europe, according to some), and especially for how affordable all that is, especially compared to nearby Croatia and Greece. In fact, I have a British friend who is an Albania fanatic and goes there at least twice a year - he's even considering retiring there. I hope to go there one day, and until then I'll reserve my judgment and trust my friends.

Why is the industry losing great people? Great or passionate people have waiting for 5 years, often accepting jaw-dropping pay cuts, for the sector to turn around.
