I have been flying Emirates Business from Australia to Europe for 22 years and definitely have no thought of changing from them. Always choose the A380 when available. Occasionally have chance to upgrade to first class on a sector for a small extra payment. They are the best.
I recently upgraded myself from economy to business on my trip back from London to Auckland (for just the 2nd leg), and I’m so glad I did. The best 15 hours I’ve spent on a airplane ever, and a very good bookend to a wonderful trip away :)
I have a sort of similar experience, not quite Dans trifecta but memorable enough to me that I took a photo of it that I still have. In March 2020 I decided to bring forward my Emirates return flight from Cape Town back to London because South Africa was about to lock down due to the Covid-19 pandemic (the UK was also about to lock down but I wanted to be at home for lockdown not stuck in a foreign country). I got to Dubai and changed planes for my connecting flight to LHR and was very amused to see that the gate I was departing from was gate C19!
I'd never have ever thought of flying Emirates as I used to be loyal to Qantas. Then one day my Qantas Business class Sydney to London ended up being on an Emirates flight and that was my first experience ever with Emirates. They are 1000% better than Qantas in every possible way. The service is above and beyond, the feeling of the flight from the moment you enter the airport is first class. I'll never fly anyone else ever again unless I absolutely have to. I'm now 100% an Emirates loyal returning customer. Oh and Dubai Business lounge is to die for, my favourite part of a long haul is that stop in Dubai!!!

@@PcarNess for me it was completely random - think it was an oversold flight, so I got lucky - could also be that I have a loyalty account, so they prioritized me

You are absolutely right about consistency! It’s vitally important that whenever I fly in a premium cabin and it’s my money paying for it, I want a consistent experience and a consistent hard product.
Not necessarily, there’s no definition for “business class”, the product should just match the cost. It’s like saying “a burger shouldn’t be anything other than wagyu beef”, what if it’s a $10 burger? If they’re charging premium price, expect a premium product. There are plenty of airlines that sell a budget business class and you can’t expect premium on a budget
I don't have the budget to fly business in the near future but I appreciate your content, I feel like I have flown and experienced it myself each time I watch your videos, thanks!
@15:00 you mentioned consistency, yes consistency is very important for an airline, it allows passengers to have similar onboard product on every flight with a particular airline.
I’ve been flying with emirates for years and have experienced every class of service. Unlike other airlines ,Emirates makes flying fun. That X factor you mention ? It’s the hospitality -something that emirates shares with its passengers no matter the class of service. Love your videos and can’t wait to see what’s next !
That drink!! I boarded an A380 last month in premium economy & oh my ... when I saw that lemon Mint drink coming my way, I instantly thought of you Dan & chose that drink simply because you love it. Guess what? I loved it too. It's so incredibly delicious 😋 😍
Emirates has a specific place in my heart. I was a visiting researcher in Lisbon back in early 2020 when the pandemic broke out, and Emirates was the last airline that still operated flights in March and it carried me back home safely. Had I not booked Emirates, my flight would be cancelled long before and I would be stranded with an expired visa and would have a hard time to find somewhere to stay during lockdown. In a sense, Emirates saved my life back then and judging from the fully booked flight, I assume a lot of other people as well. And even on that flight, service was not compromised in the slightest. This warrants my loyalty with Emirates on any international travels. I'm going back to Lisbon next year and I'm saving up points for business class this time. Cheers, thanks for the review!
You raise a very good point Dan and one that has stopped me from straying from Emirates! We have wanted to try Qatar a few times, but the idea that you don’t know what plane, seat or configuration on any of the flights has always put me off. With Emirates Business / First Class, I know it’s always going to be good - and it’s never let us down. It’s a great thing that they’ve upgraded or will upgrade the 777; don’t understand what the hate is about, the business seat on the a380 is ridiculously comfortable and has a good deal of privacy, so not sure what Anyone else would want.
I totally share your view. It is simply divine. I was randomly upgraded on my first emirates flight and i kept repeating "OMG" in my mind the entire duration of the flight. The way they handle it is so smooth, that i was literally all relaxed just 5 minutes after boarding (The drinks and hot towels, and all gifts definitely help). After that i literally forgot i was on the plane for most of the time.... I unboarded almost totally regenerated. Unforgettable!
Emirates has fancy products like Bvlgari and Voya on board. The lounge for Emirates is neat in terms of food and a shoe shine. Though the washroom in Emirates sucks the showers and toilets felt like you were showering in a YMCA compared to Qatar. Qatar has multiple lounge for various status members, so it doesn't get crowded. I really like the lounge in Doha. The whole esthetics and art are really elegant. I do feel like Emirates catering in some instances is better than QR, though QR dine on demand is neat. Though being able to fly A380 more often is plus point on EK than QR.
I have so many pairs of Emirates First Class PJ's (and the cool kits they provide too). I use them all the time and my entire family use them as well. It's really interesting that long Business Class flights now get them as well. Love the on board Emirates service. It really is amazing.
I agree Emirates is very good. But! If you remove price from the equation, I'd say my favourite airlines for long haul are 1. Qatar (Q Suite) 2. Emirates 3. Etihad. However, the pricing for routes like London to Manila or Bangkok varies massively, so in reality my actually booked order is 1. Etihad 2. Emirates 3. Qatar.
One of the perks I appreciate about Emirates Business that I don't get on Qatar is complementary chauffeur service (except on the cheapest fares). It saves me money to get to/from airports. And with 40 passengers to service and one of the cheaper business class products out there, you've got to wonder how they could afford it.
the Emirate of Dubai has lots more going for it than the state of Qatar. Even within the realm of contract workers who get deported after losing their jobs, Dubai is like the London/New York of that industry. The Las Vegas of Saudi youth, even. ie, people actually go to/from Dubai. So the routes have real demand over just connections. Which means cargo as well.
I love the Emirates Boarding Music, it so good. But to anwser your question. Some airlines have a beter A-game than Emirates, but their B-game often sucks (like getting Qatared and flying one of those crappy seats). Emirates offers a good product overall and is very consistent. Also their ground services are much more consistent than others. They have Emirates only lounges on many airports, while other airlines only have that on their home airport. I love Emirates, and would gladly book Emirates Business Class over many many airlines.
I have never flown Emirates business/first class but it is another thing to achieve on my wish list someday .. i have to say all the food looked grey and unappetizing so total shock, Love the A380 on most airlines so lush and all that 20's glamour of the polished wood looks amazing , Thanks for another great honest review 🙂

for me the best was always Singapore, with Emirates and Qatar a close second…. but for most of my flights, I need to be practical, and they are off the beaten track for the North Atlantic. Always hated Emirates lounge - try it at night, like Grand Central Station during, you guessed it, rush hour. If I could take the 380 to the supermarket, I would. Great vid, as always!!
I’d agree. I pick Qatar over Singapore because I’m in the U.S. and fly to India and have a trained service dog. Qatar’s QSuites are miles ahead of the Emirates business class in my opinion. Emirates looks flashy but in a gaudy way whereas Qatar’s QSuites is way more private and minimal.
Great video... but the A380 you flew seems to have the old business class seats. Not the updated white seats (as shown in the pic you referred to for B777s upgrade). They are slowly rolling it out across their A380 line. Quick way to tell is if the A380 has a premium economy cabin (when taking up the stairs), then it has the updated white business class seats.
They are doing that right now, and adding premium economy and game changer suites to more of their 777’s. Hoping for that entire fleet to be retrofitted

I love your videos, Dan, keep doing it and I hope you reach 1 million really quickly!
I'm going to be heading properly overseas from Australia later next year, I plan to splurge for business class, this just cemented my choice to fly Emirates. Especially as I am a nervous flyer!! xx
I have to agree with Oskar, there is a different feeling being on an Emirates Airline flight, a happy feeling! I had the same feeling when I was on board last month.
I've flown with Emirates Business Class, BA, Qantas, Virgin, Finnair, Vistara and I would say - Emirates was definitely a highlight! I like to capture shorts of my travels and I'm excited to try the new business class! Thank you for sharing! :)
Hi Dan, I have not watched your videos for a while, for no reason really. But after starting to watch this video, I realise that I have really missed watching your great channel. I am a huge fan of Emirates, and business class in the 380s. And I love to board from the lounge in Dubai. That is so nice, to be able to enter an elevator straight from the business class lounge, and board the plane from there. This February, I flew with Qatar Airways from Zürich via Qatar to Bankgok and back, in business class. And I have to say, that I was a bit dissapointed. Maybe I expected too much. It was not an unpleasant flight, but it was not as great as I thought it might be. I will always prefer flying EK, CX, SQ and maybe even BA and LX, over QR.
Last year, I got to enjoy the first and probably only First Class flights in my life. Zürich to Johannesburg and back, with Swiss. It was a great deal, as we actually paid less than for business class with EK for example. We just had to fly from Stockholm, which was cool for us, and have a 24 hours stopover in Zürich, which was also fine. I enjoyed it a lot, for me as a flight freek, it was a great experience. I especially enjoyed the lounge in Zürich. Onboard, the experience was really good. But I would never pay the regular price to fly First Class.
Your comment on progressively changing your mind on Middle Eastern airlines is interesting. I live in Southeast Asia and to fly to Europe, we have a choice of Asian, European and Middle Eastern carriers. The Middle Eastern airlines usually have very attractive fares but my experience has been a mixed bag. The flights from Asia are usually red eyes, and it doesn't help that you have to transit around 7 hours into your flight, just when you're settled in and ready to nap. You land in the Middle East around 2am, sometimes without an aerobridge, and spend half an hour or more in a bus. Then you have to navigate a huge airport, where staff can be brusque, unhelpful, cold or just plain unhappy. You finally get on the plane again, where food and service may be good, but the transit experience leaves you totally drained. And then you wonder if you should have just paid a bit more for the non-stop (or even one-stop) options on Asian and European carriers.
Emirates is definitely an outlier in the region for having enough gates for their flights. But yes, if your options allow using Swiss, Air France, or any of the major Asian airlines, it really doesn't matter much. I just sort by trip duration on google flights & then check the airline website for seat availabilty.
Great video Dan however Emirates still seems to expensive to justify it at least for Biz or certainly First on my budget! Cheers 🥂 mate! -Caleb’s Aviation 😅
I flown Lufthansa business, Finnair business, Qantas business, Singapore business, Qatar business but Emirates A380 second floor is my absolute FAVOURITE
@@tallguyforfun I flew with Lufthansa from London to Frankfurt then Dubai. The plane is old but the quality of food and service was impeccable. business class
Great points, consistency, class and luxury. These beat out the airlines who add flashy new things to some of their planes. When you book a flight and expect a certain product it is nice to know you will get it and that is what Emirates delivers. Q-suites are very nice but so many people have to rebook or just take subpar seats when the get "Qtared".
I love that you are honest with your opinion whether it’s positive or not too much. Have flown both EK a380s and b777 and I love them both. Keep flying 👍🏼👌🏼
I would love it if you tried Westjet, if you take a flight to Calgary from Europe destinations and Asia destinations you could do a dreamliner business class review! Just an idea, love your videos!
For families, I am 100% for Emirates. The lounge on board the A380 is the perfect place to bring your toddler to avoid disturbing other passengers. And the crew are wonderful with kids.
I recently flew their B777-300 Business Class from DXB to ORD, which had a 2-3-2 configuration. Although their seats were comfortable, I found it annoying that I had to jump over the person next to me to go to the lavatory. Speaking of the pajamas. I was flying First Class (upgraded using points) from KWI to DXB. I was given a set of pajamas and slippers, even though it was a two hour flight. Emirates has the best slippers and pajamas of any airline I have flown.
I flew the A380 Business from Melbourne to London and it was great. Coming home however I opted for a cheaper route and made the disastrous mistake of flying via Singapore on the 777 economy from Dubai. The A380 return economy (to Dubai) had good seats, adequate leg room for someone 6ft and under, charging ports and a full entertainment package. The 777 however is horrendous and uncomfortable, smaller seats, less leg room, less entertainment choices. The business class still had the 2-3-2 lay out and I was glad after seeing it that I was unable to upgrade using miles for that product. It just doesn't hold a candle to the A380 configuration. I was lucky that I checked and changed my seat before my return flight. Fortunately the flight wasn't full, so from Singapore back to Melbourne I had a full row of 4 seats and I was able to lay down to sleep. I cannot fault any of the cabin crew on any of my flights, they were all fantastic.
We were going to fly out of ADL on the 777-200LR but now flying from MEL on the A380 for exactly the reason you pointed out. 2-2-2 as opposed to the 1-2-1 layout on the A380, and an Emirates lounge at MEL and of course the inflight bar. SQ has absolute rubbish seating in comparison and won’t fly them unless the issue of hard seats and awkward sleeping position is addressed.
Hi Dan, great video as always. I'm flying Emirates Business Class for the very first time from Adelaide, Australia to Hamburg, Germany. The Adelaide to Dubai sector is a 777-200ER. I'm in seat 1K Would you choose a different seat? Anyhow, keep up with the great videos and thanks for the Saily recommendation.
i wish you had the updated version of the a380, the color scheme is beautiful, the seats are much more comfortable and the cabin feels, much more spacious
Dan if you ever get a chance, I was able to fly in business on a small french airline this past june. Its called Corsair and despite being in their older cabin on the A330-300, the flight from Paris to Montreal was extraordinary for the seemingly budget price. The soft product was terrific and smaller items like slippers and glass cups instead of plastic were great additions. This airline doesn't get very much attention and I think it would make a great video. Thanks!
I found there was no privacy on the business class aisle seats. I was trying to sleep and the overhead light from the guy in the middle seat was aimed directly at me (aisle window seat). Also so many unsupervised children that arent looked over by their parents running up and down the aisle. Wish there was more privacy, even a privacy screen!
I'm so glad to hear that Emirates is getting rid of that 2-3-2 configuration on the 777s. Truly worst in class and the reason I stopped flying Emirates because on the route I took most frequently the LHR-DBX flight was fine (A380) but the onward (longer) connecting flight on a 777 just killed it for me. The key now, at least for me, will be how quickly Emirates rolls this out to the entire 777 fleet because until it does isn't it going to be similar to the Qatar experience, never quite knowing for sure if you'll get the seat type you booked or be unlucky and get a plane change to a 777 that hasn't had the business class upgrade yet? I guess I need to go off and do some research about what timescale to roll out the upgrades Emirates has announced.
Dan, I just realized you still don't have any video about Polish Airlines LOT. In case, u have a plan to do such a review, would be great, before you do long-haul from Warsaw with the 787, to fly from Amsterdam to Warsaw on E195-E2 with their extended service.
Emirates is the best I've ever been on! the best service and very comfortable and very good service!! business is one of the best and the first class really is first class!! the A380 is so comfortable and the lounge in business class is really good. Glad you are finally showing this! keep in mind travelers that the nice lounges are only in Terminal A in Dubai. They have them in terminal C but they are smaller and don't go directly to the gates. You can have them take a polaroid photo for you and they deliver it in a special card.

“Pretending to be an extrovert” 😂 I can so relate!
17:50
My last flight was AirNZ skycouch class (with connecting flight each end). Much better then normal economy.
You are correct about us loving the seat maps!!
Nice video. These seats are much more comfortable than the 777 business class. So it would be really nice if they replaced that in the 777
They are doing that right now, and adding premium economy and game changer suites to more of their 777’s.
Especially as I am a nervous flyer!! xx
Amazing! I hope you have the best time 🙏
I have to agree with Oskar, there is a different feeling being on an Emirates Airline flight, a happy feeling!
Always love the plush and sumptuous Emirates premium services.
Seat database is dope...
For me, it took your videos from fun-to-watch to loyal subscriber who watches (almost) every video
The Emirates A350 business class is flamboyant, and I also love it.
Loving the beard btw
I think the way Dan described Emirates compared to Qatar makes him "Spot On Dan" instead of "Non Stop Dan". Cheers from Vancouver!
Your videos have always been great but im seeing the improvement from one to the next Dan! Keep up the great work!!!!
The boarding music, Frank Sinatra!!! That's what made it so special. :D
This upgrade looks good to me! Thanks for the great review.
I’m glad you like it!
Great video Dan however Emirates still seems to expensive to justify it at least for Biz or certainly First on my budget!
Cheers 🥂 mate!
-Caleb’s Aviation 😅
Can't agree more about the decor and ambience! Very special. Stay away from the artificial sweeteners! :)
I’m due to be flying with Emirates from LHR to DXB next APRIL. Treating myself to business class.
Best airline! I'm one of those 100% loyal Emirates customers!
I flown Lufthansa business, Finnair business, Qantas business, Singapore business, Qatar business but Emirates A380 second floor is my absolute FAVOURITE
Is Finair or Lufthansa any good for business class?
Thanks for this. We'll be flying Emirates Business in a couple of months. Looking forward to it.
Hope you enjoy it!
Excellent thanks. You mentioned the launch of the A350. Will u be on the inaugural flight to Edinburgh?
I would love it if you tried Westjet, if you take a flight to Calgary from Europe destinations and Asia destinations you could do a dreamliner business class review! Just an idea, love your videos!
At the end of the day, seat comfort, cleanliness, friendliness and food quality are way more important than just having a closing door
I just flew it two weeks ago Dubai to LAX. It was chefs kiss 😘
I flew RyanAir Stanstead to Dublin , it was 🐎 💩
For families, I am 100% for Emirates. The lounge on board the A380 is the perfect place to bring your toddler to avoid disturbing other passengers. And the crew are wonderful with kids.
Keep going guys. I love these vids. Thanks for your hard work. Pretty soon you’ll hit one million subscribers! You deserve it.
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!🩷🩷🩷✨✨LOTS OF LOVE DAN!
The staff are genuinely proud to work for Emirates
These videos are so good
We were going to fly out of ADL on the 777-200LR but now flying from MEL on the A380 for exactly the reason you pointed out. 2-2-2 as opposed to the 1-2-1 layout on the A380, and an Emirates lounge at MEL and of course the inflight bar. SQ has absolute rubbish seating in comparison and won’t fly them unless the issue of hard seats and awkward sleeping position is addressed.
Excellent review and trip report as usual. If I can nitpick for a minute, I'm pretty sure 18:33 shows you flying over Myanmar rather than Bangladesh.
Flew 6 times and will always stay loyal to this incredible service and atmosphere
Can’t fault them on their business class lounge experience though - amazing food and drinks!!!!!
Sorry but the business class from Cathay Pacific is at another level. You've got to try it.
1. Great video!
2. Thank you for that.
3. Although it's a super silly comment ... your new Viking look works. It is what it is.
4. Happy Day to you!
97k more to go for 1m. Very wxcitingvand well deserved! Also love your podcast that Alex joins you on. 😅😂🎉
Emirates A380 is definitely one of the best. Emirates should install a door in business class seats
What camera do you use for your vlogs its super clear and nice.
Thank you! Always the latest iPhone Pro :)
Dan, I just realized you still don't have any video about Polish Airlines LOT. In case, u have a plan to do such a review, would be great, before you do long-haul from Warsaw with the 787, to fly from Amsterdam to Warsaw on E195-E2 with their extended service.
Seeing the costa coffee in Dan’s hand shaking around near the start of the video whilst he’s talking is quite unnerving.
Really enjoyed this, Dan & Oscar - thank you!!
Thank you! 🙏
Yes Emirates is my favourite Arline and my first choice Arline ! I prefer even pay more and fly Emirates because I know what I am getting and not going to b disappointed
A chui dan collab would go crazy
I'm actually digging the stub, Dan!
We are looking to book business class from Manchester to Bangkok with a stop at Either Doha or Dubai. Which would you choose? Emirates or Qatar Q suite?
Or even Ethiad etc?
Will be able to see for myself, as I plan to fly Emirates at the end of the year.
That tofu dish looked so good 🤤
Nonstop Dan got LASIK 👀👓
"Pretending I'm an extrovert": best line of the video LOL
