Same actually, especially seeing how razordons are just turning units into ground beef. Lizardmen we’re my first TW2 campaign and they’re about to be my first for IE
OMFG this is insane. I have never played any Total War games or any Warhammer games, but this UA-camr is just so insanely talented at hyping up for an entertaining show!
I haven't been on this channel for a while but I used to love it!! Still do! I love his enthusiastic description of lore. However, recently his enthusiasm has dimmed somewhat. Have I missed something? Are fans not into warhammer 3 as much? There used to be so much more hype during 2. Maybe I'm wrong.
I was always sad that Razordons weren't used much in WH2, because they are such cool units! Hope that it stays not this powerful, but more than it was in the last game
@@avenge2168 half? More like 3/4ths. Stegadon and bastilodons looked great but Jesus Christ the saurus, the kroxigors, the skinks the salamanders look like cheap dollar store chew toys
While it seems like the thing with the werekin was almost certainly a glitch it kinda looked like grimloq slapped him to kingdom come with his tail which was kinda neat to me
We have all seen naked Belegar and naked Throgg a 100 times now... but never the naked Alarielle or Morathi. What is wrong with us, as a community, that things are like this?
Favorite battle I've seen in a while! Liked watching it on Heir's side as well! Pour one out for the skinky boys who held off and shattered the skin wolves from piling into that blob at the end.
Hot damn that was an awesome match, so close I was astonished at that ending. Superb match from two legends of the game. And it was a land battle. Real fun to watch, thanks Indy
First time I've seen Throgg in game three. I've missed that dude. More Norsca and Throgg content please! Let's see how he does against the new kids on the block too. I wonder if he brought more marauders with shields if that would helped at all. Shooting into squishy spears and berserkers was a field day. Maybe Norsca needs a buff. They are one of the oldest factions with only two lords.
Between the opening salvos melting berserkers like ice cream, the sorcerer getting unmade in 2 shots, and the skin wolf getting kicked like a field goal, I think we should start a foundation to suoport Heirofcarthage. Haha
This battle shows why I love land battles so much more and kinda counters all the claims that you can easily predict the end results of land battles from the first few minutes.
One of the things I loved about Oxyotl was that one red skill had everything his army needed. Skink with shields, with great weapons, javelins/blowgun, chameleon skinks, Razordons, and salamanders. You had everything you needed in one skill line. I loved it. Razordons we're amazing and I'm glad to see that they annihilate units in a few volleys in Immortal Empires too. Anyway, excellent fight. It's really interesting to see and hear the two sides of this fight, I had watched this fight on Heir's channel and it was a hell of a fight and both of you did an amazing job.
No way it was Heir that got in in to the total war games starting with shogun 2 and then tww1 but found your channel and one or to other like Turin, Zerkovich, Cody Bonds, fantastic to see some cross over 🥳🥳
Just heard Rubber Duck of War talking about how strong Razordons are and unsure whether that amount of penetration was intentional. Great to see it in action, even a more restrained version could see a lot more of those guys showing up in multiplayer (let alone the many lizardmen campaigns I’ll be playing)
An amazing battle. One of the best things that Heir that has always had my respect and admiration is his amazing battle to recover in the middle of a battle that didn’t start out too well. The other is his innate understanding of the game and units; in other words his macro. Great job Indy! Well-earned victory over a very worthy opponent.
Finally some Razordon action! In my experience they've been insanely good throughout the entire TWW2 since they were added. I have already decided to have them in all armies against Chaos and similarily high armored races before this video.
For me it was always interesting that salamanders always picked over razrdons. given how AP works in the game and works on almost all other units you would think people would always chose AP damamge then the more niche ire damage so for me it was just time when the razordons would shine. as for norsca i would love to see an item in MP for throgg that gives trolls nearby like 40-50m give + 15 leaderschip given he is the king of trolls
Even though this is a video about razordons, I feel like it shows how broken Throgg is! Imagine if those razordons didn't get those shots. Awesome game.
Very impressive use of manticores, I would have gotten them pointlessly killed way earlier; I also like the idea of shorter ranged, high damage units being more viable than they were in Warhammer 2, where we would basically never see the lower ranged units, because they just didn't have the DPS to actually do anything useful. Absolutely fantastic battle all around.
I hope that the other salamander units will still be good as well with the move to Immortal Empires. Kroq-Gar with his new start being expanded and not boxed in is going to be such a fun start now. Toss up between him, Grimgor, or one of the new Warriors of Chaos for the first IE (maybe N'kari because starting on Ulthuan is just such a power move).
There's probably a tiny AoE on the projectile and the skinwolves were so clumped up that like 4 of them got hit by the AoE and keeled over after the first one got hoogied into the shadow realm
I would imagine Heir's response was "Where the crap did my infantry go?" There's so many things that just annihilate infantry, though that has been a repeating motif since game 2.
This reminds me of my wood elf campaign. Units lost at least half by the time the opposing army managed to close in melee. I never had to do anything but 1st tier units.. Never made any sense why wood elves were that powerful.
The Razordons absolutely cancelling all those Berserkers is impressibe, but I'm almost as impressed at just how few Berserkers it takes to wipe out most of the army of Skinks.
The Razordons need to keep the AP. Dealing with armor with their infantry is a slog and the razordons is the counter for that without bringing single entitys. They are a perfect fit with salamander packs.
There wasn't a lot of anti-large on the lizardmen list. With Razordons as strong as that, the lizardmen really only needed spears in the frontline instead of sword&board, as the infantry fight was already won. The Saurus cav definitely should've had spears, with all the large mobility Norsca has, Norsca did manage to bully the lizardmen quite succesfully.
The razordon performance is a bit strange. Obviously a bit too efficient against the infantry at this point but against large targets they didn't even seem to tickle their targets. I like the idea of having them be a hardcore anti-infantry tool but I don't know if the penetration is the thing that needs to be hit here. With 3 missiles per volley, each dealing about 3/4ths the damage of crane gunner shot even with only 1 model being penetrated the damage potential is pretty insane. Reducing the shots per volley to 2 or just cutting the damage down to about 1/2 of a crane gunner shot (probably around 17 ap damage and 5 base damage) would fix the crazy infantry damage output, but would make them a pretty bad option against large targets in general.
An amazing battle, thanks to Heir for joining me!

Kroq-gar is such a boss. He is rapidly rising up my list of possible first campaigns.
Same actually, especially seeing how razordons are just turning units into ground beef. Lizardmen we’re my first TW2 campaign and they’re about to be my first for IE
funny, after finally returning to WH2 last week for one last hurrah, Kroq Gar was my first campaign! (on Vortex no less)
I never picked him only because he felt so isolated in the corner. Wh3 is going to make him one of my most picked starts.
I'd really wish the Skink Oracle was actually animated. It looks so jarring the way he just statically sits on the Troglodon as it moves about.
It's a show of dominance
"Whoa... Nice Kroq bro. Seriously 10/10."
OMFG this is insane. I have never played any Total War games or any Warhammer games, but this UA-camr is just so insanely talented at hyping up for an entertaining show!
thanks mate much appreciated! its a really fun game, lots of content here to get you up to speed if you wish

I was always sad that Razordons weren't used much in WH2, because they are such cool units! Hope that it stays not this powerful, but more than it was in the last game
last game where it wasn't used at all yea great logic
And then you look at GW's models of Razordons... They didn't age well.
@@mycatistypingthis5450 Thats true of like half the lizardmen line
Imo they should keep the penetration on their ranged atacks, but reduce it to 1 model like on the crane gunners.
@@avenge2168 half? More like 3/4ths.

I laughed so hard when the skinwolf just bounced back like a pinball at the end and Throgg just freestyled on the floor! Amazing.
Already seen this one on heir's channel but it's such an awesome battle that it deserves another watch.

Kroq Gar vs that Shaman sorcerer was beautiful. So satisfying and epic to watch, seeing the big boy bear down on that poor little caster

That Hand of the Gods cast did things to me I didn't think were possible.
What an amazing battle between 2 legends, gg to both.

Their units are pretty good, they just need some dlc to make them less predictable and give them more options
Wow what a tight finish, awesome stuff.

saw heirs video but what a match man lol great game to you both!

What a close game ! Despite the advantageous early the lizardmen struggled a lot at the end insane !
the second Oracle hit on skin wolves actually killed 5 models again
It was a great display of high-priority threats overload from Heir of Carthage, too many targets for the razordons to be able to fire unimpeded.
For me it was always interesting that salamanders always picked over razrdons. given how AP works in the game and works on almost all other units you would think people would always chose AP damamge then the more niche ire damage so for me it was just time when the razordons would shine.

I remember seeing people on the reddit talking about how things will be moving away from a range meta, then the Razordons show up
Heir could've won if he'd brought his beloved Levy Freemen.
Shockingly close considering that opening damn
Those trog shots won the game I’m quite sure if those were kin had all their models it would of ended up differently great replay!

Were you usign the game music or other games OST,? there were moments it sounded like lagiacrus theme from Monster hunter tri.
Was literally like "OKAY, INDY suuuuure they are broken..." Then i saw them delete Norsca... "Oh god.."
Razordons have multiple projectiles don't they? That certainly helps.
Kroq Gar is a champion nothing more to say
What was changed about Kroq in MP? Warhammer 2 would be just a generic lord on the carno rather than kroq because of the amulet+price
Well with demons now in the mix there are a plethora of large low armor targets for HotG to nuke
May be a stupid question, but is there a community discord from you?
yes right here! - discord.gg/BBGhXjDmUw
