I feel like the Dwellers Below is a must for a Durthu Build, just because so many times it comes down to him being mobbed at the end. Even if you don't end up using it... having it in your back pocket is really nice.
I am reminded of a scene from an episode of Matt Smith's Doctor Who, where the Daleks admit that the insane Daleks contained in their asylum were not exterminated on the grounds that said insane Dalek's hatred was beautiful. The Doctor naturally being disgusted by this revelation. I'm guessing that, as much as a rage-filled tree that he is, Durthu would most likely be disgusted if his hatred was praised by Khornate daemons of all things. A case of _"Your approval fills me with shame"._
Jesus you just really don’t understand how strong the hellforged host is until there fighting againts units with 50 MD plus and killing them in 10 seconds
A large part of that was cause of how much they infiltrated the unit. It wasn't them attacking the front wall of spears and only exposed to however many are in the front, but every single demon had contact with a separate unit.
@@Zayl1016 Unless the eternal guard had been braced it wouldn't have mattered. 52 damage+13 anti-infantry+36 charge means the eternal guard are straight up getting one shot on by initial charge attack.
@@Swampert919 true enough! and it isn't like there are no ways to get around them like shooting or magic. so they are allowed to be that good in a brawl.
I feel like flesh hounds could have a 100 gold cost increase and would still be an auto include in a lot of matchups. I get that khorne needs anti backline units, but they are pretty oppressive for their cost.
With no magic and only one very shitty ranged unit of their own, they need strong back line harassers like Flesh Hounds. Let's maybe take a moment and see how the faction holds up in MP overall before we nerf another unit into oblivion.
I just want to say that you produce the best multiplayer battles on the platform. Other content creators just tend to hover over the battlefield with a few failed attempts at close-ups. But your style of filming is great. You even take time to provide cinematic shots of key moments. The only man that rivals your quality is Zerkovich himself.
I was very happy with the Exalted Balrog play! Just be patient, use up all the breath attacks, take easy fights and then save the hard ones for last. It is the same with N'kari. You do not want to YOLO your precious Greater Daemons into the things that can actually hurt them!
I think the life caster could have got away in straight lines. Changing pathing slows and stutters the unit just enough to let charge animations kick in. GG either way. This was my theory craft build with Khorne vs ranged but I want furies over more dogs if I can adjust the costs somewhere. Cool to see if played correctly it could maybe handle a counter rush melee build.
i think the biggest weakness in your build was the glade riders to me they just seem worthless to bring as well khornes not gonna be bringing any squishy archers or anything and yk u need units like hunter of kurnos to win v hounds i think zoats could be a big winner in this matchupif you are trying to match khorne in melee like here
Those glade riders are pretty essential for screening against flesh hounds. Even if they don't do a whole lot of damage, they can defend the bladesingers and soak up charges long enough for Durthu to come over.
All of this good Immortal Empires content out there but I must say yours is the best. I like your commentary and how you aren't afraid to try risky but interesting builds. Keep up the good work.
glade riders with hagbane tips might be really good for dealing with hounds. They are fast, have magic ammo, and with the poison slowing the hounds, they just won't be able to catch you. the poison willalso just help in general to blunt their damage dealing capibilities so they don't right through you quite so fast.
Bromance im so happy that you are releasing IE battles now. TWW3 were ok but they felt the fatigue of the months after release. Keep em coming u hottie u.
Very valiant attempt to melee rush the best melee rush faction in the game. Biggest problem is khorne warriors, pretty much all of them for wood elves. Eternal guards have AP, but are meant for anti large mostly so their attack is too low to hit warriors consistently. Blade singers are best really, but are really expensive and wardancers..I think they have the worst time. Their so low in hp and armor that any bloodletter will send them to a early grave and warriors have high armor/def that will grind down wardancers as well
I look forward to crushing any chaos force that encroaches on any sacred forest of the wood elves once Immortal Empires is released. Wood elves have some of the most fun campaign mechanics. They are soooo great at ambush tactics! I think all wood elves, including Durthu, really need a core of high-end missiles. That's what was really missing in this match up.
Is there anyway you can include if it's Domination or field battle, like in the description? I don't get the same enjoyment watching a Domination battle like I do with a field battle. Almost skipped the video aftet not seeing a description. Sorry if you've already addressed that and I missed it. P.S. Big fan of your channel, thanks for all you do!
Damn what a sick battle dude. Great match. Pretty close especially considering what happened to the winter heart guard. Unit should be triggered to ignore initial order and start defending itself in a situation like that. I wonder if less cav and/or spears and more blade singers/add some tree kin in (firebark elders for fire resist?) would work for a melee rush. Blade singers might lose dmg on the charge to flesh hounds but think could cut thru their model count, treekin support would help. Maybe wardancers/Asrai spears for cheaper option depending on cost. Curious also how dryads might trade into bloodletters compared to eternal guard also given they do high dmg to low armor and have magic attacks despite any fire dmg they might take.
u get a lot of requests ofcourse but i can't wait to see a battle of warriors of chaos vs khorne, to be precise skarbrand vs kholek to see just who got the most brute power. keep up the good work man!
This is the first replay i've seen where khorne didn't get stomped into the ground, very satisfying! Albeit they were up against a build that favors them lol
Swiftshiver shards will be a must against all Demons, but especially Khorne. Having a core of Deepscouts or Glade Guard will tear through with the magical attacks, at least in campaign. I dont think u can contest the fleshhound mobility on the ground here just because any khorne player in his right mind will bring tons against WE. But i think u could get away with hawk riders. Their only threat are furies and big scary demon and they should have enough speed to kite both of these. Furies u could probably kill in melee after a bit of kiting aswell (espescially with magic support, earth blood and/or eagle summon). Guessing this was an agreed upon (no ranged units) match? Cause otherwise you would think anyone would use the elite ranged WE units to destroy Khorne units typically
nope just trying to catch Khorne off guard. Khorne can go very wide and bring tons of shielded chaos warriors though, so shooting isn't necessarily an easy victory/automatic choice either
This isn't meant as criticism because I've never played multiplayer so I'm just curious, but what's the reasoning behind fielding a wood elf army with no ranged units? Isn't that one of their main strengths as a faction?

That sweet element of surprise. Everyone expects wood elves to have archers. Against high elves I do full melee rush, for example (partially because I was frustrated that glade guard are more expensive than high elf archers but have less range lol).
