    After years of testing, TeraFlex has perfected our all-new IR (Independent Rotation) Bushings. These innovative bushings debut in our new Alpine IR Control Arms featured in some of our JL Wrangler Suspension Systems.
    Although traditional rubber bushings offer quiet operation and satisfactory longevity, their limitations began to surface during off-road driving and extreme articulation. Suspension bushings must twist as well as rotate, which causes suspension bind. The effects worsen as lift heights and suspension travel increase.
    TeraFlex IR Bushings end the industry-wide struggle to engineer zero maintenance bushings with unrestricted droop. IR Bushings feature an innovative inner sleeve that freely rotates 360 degrees without placing load on the bushing. The internal contact surfaces of the rotating sleeve feature an extremely tough, hardened bearing surface that is factory lubricated and permanently sealed.
    IR Bushings remove bushing bind during suspension compression whether on the highway or the trail. This results in a noticeable ride improvement. Eliminating rotational stress reduces bushing failure. The free movement of the IR Bushing extends its life span.

    Even though I am not very happy with my Teraflex Falcon lift kit, I love this guy, his humor and how he explains things. He,'s probably the reason, why I am still using Teraflex..

    I'll have to reserve judgement until I see them in a practical demo.
    Dennis: I'd highly recommend a video comparative to what Matson put out for their bushings a few years back. I can't have an opinion when I can't see them working.
    However, that said, if they're a Teraflex product I know they've been well researched and well tested.👍

      Have you forgot about the TeraLow 231 ... lol... sometimes it's best to wait and see products in practical application first ;-) ... a set of nice ballistic , summit, or Currie joints are proven for rod ends... if you want bushing style joints the metalcloak and synergy joints work well ... and you can get the synergy as direct replacement for the clevite bushing used in the lower arms , but with the 18mm sized thru bolt offering for the ram truck offering allowing you to ditch the factory 9/16th bolt .

      Yes, if you decided to upgrade in the future to the IR bushings. They will for sure fit your arms. We are currently working on getting a bushing kit put together for just that application.

    I know that you guys thoroughly test your products. I would really like to see one of the joints from your test rig that you have been using. Is the joint greased? If so does it require a special grease? Articulation isn't the only thing that matters, but it would be nice to see how this new joint helps to increase your flex compared to standard clevite bushings or competitors joints.

    • @teraflexsuspensions
      @teraflexsuspensions  5 років тому +2

      The joints are sealed race bearings and are greased from the factory. No need to ever grease them. They are specifically designed to eliminate any bushing bind making they axles able to articulate easier.

    You're not showing the bushing binding under articulation...Your only showing compression and droop and there was
    as no up close footage.. I truly can't see orings lasting lasting in that environment.... Anyone can swing an arm up & down..People want to see the forces applied to the bushing like a heim would endure at or beyond the failure point... Your video told & showed me nothing...
