      always remember, age is just a number! im almost 30 and i will always admire and look up to older ppl who confidently wear whatever they like and they look good wearing it. i bet you’re gunna look amazing in this top!
      im totally new to crochet, almost finished my first two projects (one top and a bikini top) and am using cotton yarn for both. ive tried making a few tops using acrylic yarn and ive either pulled them apart or just stopped altogether.
      im in australia and summer is coming up. cotton is the only way, especially because i struggle in the heat 😅

    how do we continue increasing it to fit for a larger size? i understand increasing the rows but there seems to be a pattern of rows with increases and rows without. really wonder how this would work on bigger busts too cause its gorgeous!

      Thank you so much for your kind words and support 🥹🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 going forward I’m making patterns that would use measurements so it’s easier to tailor to your size!
      I used my own measurements for this top and it fits like a size xs/small! For this top, you can increase the length of the strap by multiples of 4 to create a longer strap. I would also measure the distance from your side (where the edge of the lace strap would be) to around your nipple for the first ridge. I would follow the pattern but add more rows (if you decide to add more increases make sure it adds up in the end so that the stitch count is even for the mesh row!). For the side panel, I would add an extra row or two at the end with no decreases. For the back panel maybe start with a chain foundation of about 3-3.5” and continue the pattern until you have the same height from the bottom of the top to the top of where you attached the strap to the back panel…
      I hope this makes sense! If it doesn’t feel free to ask more questions and I will gladly answer them all!!

      @@rosbenz224 It’s about a xs/small, my bust is 32A for reference but theres a bit of room so it’s not super tight!

    this is lovely and your tutorial is great - thank you for sharing. I would love to make this for my daughter in law, but I think she is a little bigger than you (you look tiny ☺☺) . so I too would be very grateful if you could share the measurements of your top .

      Hello! I replied to a comment below on how to increase the size. My bust size is a 32a however the yarn stretches so there is room. The front portion of the top from armpit to armpit is about 11 inches. The side panel is about 4 inches. The back panel (including the lace strap) is around 10 inches across the top widest portion. Please let me know if you have any other questions I'll be glad to answer.

    Is it enough to measure medium or is it short????

    • @petpetcrochets
      @petpetcrochets  8 місяців тому

      You can add to the strap by multiples of 8 to make it longer and work the base of the top up high so it won’t be short! Also add more rows for the base and back of the top

    • @petpetcrochets
      @petpetcrochets  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi, the details of the yarn is shown in the video as well as the materials! It’s 100% mercerized cotton from the brand Patons and I use two hooks, 2.25 and 1.9mm hooks 😊

    Hi have you only got one size option x

    • @petpetcrochets
      @petpetcrochets  10 місяців тому +1

      For the lace strap you can go up or down by multiples of 8 until it is your size! I added the ribbing detail when I got to around my nipple line, so depending on where that is for you, you can add more rows. For the middle of the top, add rows until you get enough coverage for your bust. For the back panel, I would wrap a tape measure across the waist area or where you want the top to end and take down that measurement. Then measure what you have for the front panel and subtract that measurement to get your starting chain measurements. From there you can increase more rows if necessary until the back panel is enough coverage….I hope this all makes sense!

    Is there actually 58 stitches right before the mesh? Row 16...

    • @petpetcrochets
      @petpetcrochets  Рік тому +1

      Hi! I should have said this in the video but for the mesh row I did not work into the turning chain… previously we have been counting that stitch on the top of the turning chain so it would be a total of 58 stitches, however, for the mesh we work the last stitch and do not work in the turning chain. Sorry for the confusion, I hope that makes sense!
