She left when I was down, when I was in crisis, I didn’t mean shit to her, but hey you know what? I’m still here still out their grinding living life when I could of chose to give up, life goes on ✌🏿
Hahaha u stole this from me like ten years ago and that's awesome. But it was my roommate who caught me all sweaty, and it was because I was playing the drums on my desk for IDWTGU. Very cool to see this comment. You reminded me of a very funny memory. - Johnny
Ah yes. Descendants still make me pogo around my living room even though I’m fourty and my kids are watching Sesame Street next to me. I’m still a silly girl at fourty. Thanks guys
I fell asleep and this song came on this one time and had the most heartfelt dream I ever had. I'm not kidding, it brought out what I wanted deep inside my head, when I woke up I was actually sad because it was only a dream.
"I know a place, up in the air It's not very far, I've been there before I know a place, cool and warm Cool in my blood, and warm in my heart So come on down and walk with me, and tell me I'm your man I only want to know a couple of things about you Where were you when I was in so much trouble with myself And do you still believe in me like I believe I've been thinking good good things about you Cool and warm, good good things about you If you've been thinking good good things about me So cool and warm when you put your arms around me All On my own, I know where to go Living the lie, in your eyes I know a place, cool and warm Cool in my blood, warm in my heart So come on down and walk with me, and tell me I'm your man Let's see if I can get it right with you this time around I'm not afraid of losing you, my little girl But do you still believe in me like I believe I`ve been thinking good good things about you cool and warm, good good things about you If you've been thinking good good things about me So cool and warm when you put your arms around me"
Been a long time since they've have to settle for 8 and 16 track analogue tape machines. But they are much better engineers now. I miss part of it too and not just with these guys. So much of the other stuff is sounding either bad or homogeneous. Records don't have the character they once did. The room sounds, the bleed, the mistakes even. The funk. Ironic that this is what's going on in the midst of a vinyl revival.
Still listening almost 50, remember skateboarding every where and the bands and those times where more amazing now then I could have ever thought then!... they where so many great bands! And these guys!! Yea dont need to say much more. Now I make more memories listening to all those great bands..it never gets old!
❤ This song came out in 1987, a solid 5 years before grunge was even a dream in the eyes of America. A classic punk song, and my favorite Descendants song of many.
What's your point about it coming out 5 years before grunge? It came out a year or so before Vanilla Ice too. So what. Are you trying to say it was grunge before grunge? I hope not cuz it has absolutely ZERO resemblance to grunge. PS: Green River, the Melvins, and Soundgarden - all titans of grunge - had already released music by the time this record came out. Also...this album came out in 1985.
I got these old dudes to play this live finally after like 20+ years in Orlando a few years back. They now play it on the regular. Youre welcome. Still dedicated to you Jessica of course.
This song reminds me of this guy I used to have a huge crush on. I always had eyes on him but I went for someone else. He gave me feelings like no other. Wish I was with him vs the last guy
This is what my first boyfriend and I decided was "our song". Iconic. I'm a senior in high school now and legit repressed this so deep, but I was looking at my most played songs on spotify and this showed up and everything came back.
My boyfriend has gotten me into the Descendants and other punk rock bands over this year.. I'm gonna deem this song as one of ours... it's so good! Probably my favorite of theirs ❤
I have heard this song over 5 thousand times if not more skater punk fuck up from the 80's still the best best best best you will ever hear, never stop questing ALL
god i miss this! what happened to music? its this many years later and my ipod still consists of nothing but descendents, dead kennedys, operation ivy, screeching weasel, misfits etc, etc, etc.... WHY DID THIS STYLE DIE? it was so good!
same thing for me descendents has been around my life for the past 15 yrs i can always found a song that brings me back to good or bad times in my life
I hear ya man. Sorry that happened. I started talking to this girl the other night and she seemed really cool. Haven't really met any cool girls in like a year, so I'm excited and was singing this song in my head all morning in my golf class.
got milo tattooed on my wrist , and only one kid at school could figure it out ..... but i go to a concert and everyone catches it. i know where i belong xD
My band ACW used to play music like this back in the 90s and we had great moments with friends however everything has an end! Nowadays what I can do is, to go for shows and hang around rock places...there is still a lot of good bands out there! Seems like the punk feeling in the bands died well they are getting old!? Life goes well? IN south america and another parts of the world raging for this genre! still a lot of people fighting the law and still winning! XD ahah
It sounds like someone is patting Milo on the back while he's singing "I know a place, up in the air, it's not very far, I've been there before, Well I know a place..." He's got that Belinda Carlisle, Eddie Vedder vibrato thing going on in part of this song. Lol
“i only wonna know a couple things about you, Where were you when i was in so much trouble with myself!?” that single line hits me emotionally and physically every time
Do you still believe in me like I believe
come on down and walk with me and tell me i'm your man
Literally puts me on th verge of tears every time I hear it, glad I’m not the only one who gets hit by that line every time. 🤣
She left when I was down, when I was in crisis, I didn’t mean shit to her, but hey you know what? I’m still here still out their grinding living life when I could of chose to give up, life goes on ✌🏿

High school love for sure.
This sounds like a song you listen to when your thinking about taking your ex back or not
@@slyslickandwicked5272 this song makes you wanna off yourself if your single ,but if you got someone special in your life it makes u happy
oh my god one of my favorite UA-camrs is a descendents fan 😭💕
This is exactly what it sounds like
my brother: "Why are you all sweaty?"
me: "Because I was listening to Descendents."
The most accurate
just shit my pants y'all smell it

I will always be surprised that this was released in 1985. The sound is not that far off from something you'd hear in the mid 2000s.
does anybody else agree that it's impossible to stop listening to this?
floraliee i agree
i just keep on comin back
they got a lot of songs that do this to me. hard to escape em!
On a very Allular level 🖤
greatest love song ever written
Ah yes. Descendants still make me pogo around my living room even though I’m fourty and my kids are watching Sesame Street next to me. I’m still a silly girl at fourty. Thanks guys
You r the best, silly girl 😘
And nothing else makes me tick
Like when she's on that pogo stick...
Me too, I'm 44 dad of two 11 year old twins. They think I've gone banana sandwich.

Did you make steps to get those things, Claude
Drain brought me here
I saw them cover it live the other day. It was awesome.
"I know a place, up in the air
It's not very far, I've been there before
I know a place, cool and warm
Cool in my blood, and warm in my heart

And do you still believe in me like I believe
I've been thinking good good things about you
Cool and warm, good good things about you
If you've been thinking good good things about me
So cool and warm when you put your arms around me
All On my own, I know where to go
Living the lie, in your eyes
I know a place, cool and warm
Cool in my blood, warm in my heart
So come on down and walk with me, and tell me I'm your man
Let's see if I can get it right with you this time around
I'm not afraid of losing you, my little girl
But do you still believe in me like I believe
I`ve been thinking good good things about you
cool and warm, good good things about you
If you've been thinking good good things about me
So cool and warm when you put your arms around me"
Supah Gualtah you are amazing. :-)
Thank you
I love descendents, I like the new stuff, but I miss this sound, more natural, not so loud guitars, more clean. Deliciousness!

His voice worked better when he was young. But there new stuff is still punk as fuck.
Totally agree. Best Descendents is 80's descendents.
best, catchiest song ever..I could listen to this a billion times. a true classic....
I'd say here with me is their best

1985. That’s when I got the vinyl. They had their next album out by the spring of 1986.
this song has such an awesome vibe to it. a feel good vibe. a windy day, taking a drive around empty streets with your mates.
So cool and warm when you put your arms around me

I wish they made more songs like this, it's so amazing.
Right? Ace is great too.
True! Can’t Go Back is a great one
This track has such a rad vibe to it that I can’t seem to find in any of their other tracks. I can play this one over and over again.
It is definitely an outlier. It’s unfortunate they didn’t explore this a little more
been adicted to this song since the first time I listened to it and on
This song reminds me of this guy I used to have a huge crush on. I always had eyes on him but I went for someone else. He gave me feelings like no other. Wish I was with him vs the last guy
That's the tricky part about love you have to be ready to get hurt sometimes
Hope you went back and worked it out with him by now
I'm that guy😊
So good. So god damn good.
Well said Perseus Jackson.
Jason Pintado LOL, not a problem Brock.
indeed
You could say it's a good good thing that this good good song exists

El Punk Rock puede salirse un poquito de la critica y puede llegar a ser dulce y sentimental y esta gran y legendaria banda es el ejemplo de ello
