I love him and Tony Lombardo, but overall I prefer The Music Karl Made and the playing of Tony, I also really like the dude who played on Enjoy, I don’t know his name but it was pretty good
Agree completely! I think after all these decades, Descendents & ALL loving family has given Stephen the support and confidence to begin to truly sing. They are a family. ❤
Some truly awesome human at Taylor said "we should get the Descendents to play an acoustic set" and actually made it happen. This was outstanding. #PrideOurselvesOnBringingTheRock
When I listened Hope for the first time, so many years ago, my bad english did not permit me to understand Milo was talking about a girl.. I just heard 'my day will come.. I'll be the only one'.. Deep concepts for all the adolescents from every country and time, and immediatly I recognized Hope as a classic.. one of the greatest song ever written
@@cheysanx5512 yes instead of "Cause I'll have my way, you won't have a say anyway 'Cause I've got you, you don't stand a chance" he instead says "I wanna have my way, I don't have a say anyway, Cause I want you, so give me a chance"
Weeping while listening and watching this. I think these days' kids won't have any dream to be old and together still as a band... What a good world we had....
It's nice to hear some of the subtle nuances of songs when performed on acoustics. I've been listening to Descendents and ALL since the 80's and there's always a message they tell in story of that I may have also endured or enjoyed. This band and members will always be one of rock history's most influential artists. Milo☆, Steph☆, Karl☆, Bill☆ carry on. Tony☆ still a favorite bassist, Frank☆ RIP. #FreeholdCrew #ILikeFood #MrBass #Bugface
Great performance here! It was fun to hear them mix it up with the acoustic set. But most of all, I really enjoyed the storytelling aspect and the insights they gave. I saw ALL back in 2002 and still hope to one day see the Descendents in concert.
I've played alot of Acoustic guitars in my time, and I can honestly say that Taylor makes the best playing, and best sounding Acoustic guitars! I got my Taylor 3 years ago and I really don't want any other Acoustic guitars, I am happy to have mine and I love it!
Hello Milo, These Videos of The Descendants & You. Remind me of my Good Friend Jon Schafer. We always listened to you he played your Music for me all the Time ,Hes like my Brother. Hearing you Sing brings back Such Great Memories. You all are Great Milo ,Thank You.. Darcie😊
finding this so late but really cool. a band that wrote the anthem to my teenage angst. really would have loved clean sheets but thankful for some great floods of memories of skateboards, and hooligans.
Great to see these guys do their thing in any format, and of course it all sounds great knowing they mostly wrote these on acoustic, the foundation is ALL-ways there.
Freaking Love The Descendents!! Karl is definitely a Awesome Bass player!! Speaking of Bass Lol.. What a weird looking little Bass but it'd be So awesome to have one! Many years ago I had a Acoustic Bass that I'd leave on a Guitar Stand in my room (Securely of course lol) and if I had some sort of Bass Line or a Bass Melody going on in my head I could quickly grab that Acoustic Bass and Translate it to the Bass. It was a Epiphone El Capitan.. it was big and Bulky and it sounded ok but not great. I'm gonna have to look into these little Taylor Acoustic Bass guitars 🤘
Karl sporting the trifecta on his lapel: Hüsker Dü, the Adolescents' blue album, and the Cheifs - a largely forgotten, but utterly brilliant gritty street-punk outfit whose output was posthumously collected on the Hollywest Crisis album.
First song written with the band was hope!! Get fucked one of the greatest songs ever written. I've been there Milo has been there pure emotion and despair. Thanks guys legends
I've been a Descendents fan for over 30 years. Never heard these acoustic. They need an acoustic album! You can feel the emotion so clearly.
I agree. Everything is too loud! this can make young kids realize the beauty of punk...but actually hear it live
Karl Alvarez is no.1 punk bassist!
I love him and Tony Lombardo, but overall I prefer The Music Karl Made and the playing of Tony, I also really like the dude who played on Enjoy, I don’t know his name but it was pretty good
John Entwistle will always be the best punk bassist.
Hell yeah!!! Nothing against the traditional punk pick players on bass , but I’ve been playing for 20+ years and prefer fingers
And one of the best punk writers as well
For real.
I need a full album of acoustic songs. This is too good.
Acoustage!
So good,! Oi
Milo goes unplugged
Stephen sounds GREAT on those backing vox!
Punk never dies. This is excellent.
This is pop, not punk
@@zetascorpii9519 lighten up, Francis.

I love that they played Lucky. One of my favorite Descendents songs, pretty underrated.
And "The Way I know"
A maior banda de todos os tempos da Califórnia!!! Pronto falei 😅
Descendents The best 🤟
Um salve de Belo Horizonte MG-Brazil 🇧🇷
Stephens voice is so good I wish he did more background vocals
Agree completely! I think after all these decades, Descendents & ALL loving family has given Stephen the support and confidence to begin to truly sing. They are a family. ❤
He's a pretty decent drummer as well
@@DavidAlpin-hv8jq I didn’t know that & I’ve met him. He’s a musical genius so I’m not surprised. Did Bill teach him?
He drummed in a band from Utah called massacre guys..they had 1 album out called behind the 8 ball
@@DavidAlpin-hv8jq that’s really cool. Thanks for the info.

Man they sound so good acoustically it sounds so natural and not forced wouldn’t mind an acoustic album or a few songs acoustically from them
One of my all time favorite bands playing on Taylor. Does it get any better than this?
I know rite...
This is amazing
I would have loved to hear "Ride the Wild". This is AWESOME
My…. heros. All of them

The tone of Lucky is ridiculous. Thanks so much for this.
We had solid tears of joy in our eyes!
It inspires me so much to see this old dudes rocking til this day, exactly like when I listened to "When I Get Old". FODA PRA CARALHO!
Saw them live 3 weeks ago and my exact thought just watching them on stage was "how amazing seeing these old dudes still rockin'"

03:17 Like The Way I Know
06:43 Lucky

you can have punk rock without a bass, but why risk it. Foundational band for me. Love seeing this.
the first time that descendents on so many years, record something in acoustic, definitely an undervalued band.
Descendents are literally the best band ever
Nice to see Taylor featuring some cool musicians for a change.
