Nice easy and yet effective jig. I will have to give it a try and catch some big girls here in Florida. Thanks again for taking the time to show us killer patterns.
Hey Smalljaw It’s great to be watching you again Nobody ties jigs that are effective as your jigs are at catching fish. I was wondering if you could let me know what type and brand the round nose pliers are that you use for forming the bends on your spinnerbait forms. Thanks. God Bless
I have a Griffin Odyssey Spider and it has been holding up great!! I don't get hook slip even with larger hooks and the fact it is made in the U.S.A. and has a lifetime warranty is just icing on the cake!!!
@@smalljaw I know this is an older comment, but I'm looking for this mold. Can you provide any more information about it? I've been looking for this video for a week! New subscriber here.
You could fish it on any of those choices with the right tackle. I think mono or fluoro would be best followed by braid and leader, I wouldn't use straight braid. The key is the rod, a medium light with a soft tip and a reel with a good drag.
Thks. Can you recommend a manufacturer of quality jigheads on quality hks that arent an arm & a leg? If they offered a UV head that would be a definite bonus. Id prefer to start making my own as I pay more on shipping than on the jig & Im waiting a week everytime I see a pattern I like. Anyway thx.
Thank you Jim!!! It depends on what you mean when you say a quality hook. Most mass produced jigs use Mustad hooks which are good hooks. I'd suggest looking at Siebert Outdoors, they sell jig heads with premium hooks at reasonable prices. In fact they probably have the best prices on jig heads with top of the line hooks, if their prices seem too much then there isn't anyone else I'm afraid. Just one at a time. It is hard to tell because I hold all the fibers in a bunch after cutting it to length, the cut fibers still work well and add to the fullness of the jig.

Good day. Till this day, you make the best jig videos. Quick question you mentioned that you mix something in your lead to make them firmer.

What kind of vice do you use
Griffin Odyssey Spider Vise.
It's hard to tell but are you tying several quills or just one at a time?
Just one at a time. It is hard to tell because I hold all the fibers in a bunch after cutting it to length, the cut fibers still work well and add to the fullness of the jig.
@@smalljaw Thanks for getting back to me SJ
