I have GVHD (Graft Versus Host Disease) since 2012. The first time they saw this was on my eyes. But i got pretty severe GVHD (over 75% of my body. - Skin.) We tried everything the past couple of years for my dry eyes. Different fluids/eyedrops. Late last year i've been trying scleral lenses and it is really been life changing for me. I can see again. Don't have headaches from the light (photophobia.) And the pain is gone. It's really a relief. It does cost a pretty penny though. But i live in Belgium and i'm lucky enough that we have a great care system over here. I personally had to pay €750 (about $820) But if you know that the total cost is €2000 (at least here, i don't know how much it cost in other parts of the world) i consider myself lucky. Also, i personally would've paid €2000, just for the pain relief alone. After all these years. And finally been able to see at a screen/monitor again. I can do what i loved doing which is photoshop and music creation.

I have a scleral lens on my left eye & it makes a HUGE difference in my vision & with my dry eyes
Doesn’t it feel weird having a contact in only one eye, my doctor said if I only did one it would feel noticeable ( that was normal contacts)

what is a rough estimate for scleral lens success rate in dry eye patients? are we talking 50% or higher/lower? obviously it matters what type of dry eye you have
