  • Although it can sometimes feel like the people who are the most emotionally healthy were just born that way, but the truth is, becoming emotionally healthy, grounded and relatively stable (take that with a grain of salt), is something most of us have to work on.
    I'm guessing you've heard of IQ , but have you heard of EQ.? Our EQ is our emotional intelligence - our ability to understand our emotions and the emotions of others.
    Typically people with high EQ are not just more emotionally aware, but they have learned how to be aware and tuned into emotions without harsh judgment toward themselves or others.
    So what can we do to work on becoming both more emotionally intelligent and emotionally healthy?
    In this video I talk about 5 simple habits any of us can start using in our daily lives that will have a big impact and naturally help us become more emotionally healthy.

    HI Julia I've really love watching your videos and have appreciated watching you describe your experiences, learning about myself from your expertise. I have had several relationship breakdowns and was medicated based on a number of diagnoses made when i was going through grief, anger, drug abuse, schitzophrenia related to medication withdrawls, Paranoia and psychosis because I felt disrespected and emotionally rejected while at a critical stage of my teenage development. I am 33 and still single. I suffer from depression, loneliness, and am struggling to recieve communication from my exes. I believe I only because of my prayer and step out in faith to serve god where he needs me.
    I am also grateful for your beautiful smiles and jokes which make me feel good.
    Thankyou for uploading your youtube videos and being there as a support for those who are struggling alone.

    Hello, just wanted to thank you for your videos. I am a team captain for some hard charging door kickers. They will never admit it but I go through a rundown of your videos with my guys daily and it has helped them tremendously in their day to day lives. Thank you for taking the time to do so much to help others.

    When I first heard "make a point to be difficult to offend", I thought it meant not to offend others. I later realized that it meant, make a point do be difficult to be offended which is even better advice, I think!!! Hah!!

    I find the videos where you describe what emotionally healthy people do , riveting. It's more helpful to have a healthy model to learn from , than just having our own unhealthy ways being pointed out , as some people will do. This way , we know what we're aiming for. Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing the vital information in your videos. I'll be sharing your channel with someone who currently can't afford to see a therapist. I feel it will be quite helpful to him until , & even after, he can get things worked out.

    Thank you Julia, been following along for a few months, always great advice. I'm guilty of personalizing quite a bit, I think it has do with being self conscious and the worry of being judged by others. In the 80's I always watched the MTV top 20 music video countdown every Sunday!

    • @juliakristinamah
      @juliakristinamah  7 років тому

      Brent, thanks so much for your kind words and support! Yes, the idea of being judged by someone is really hard to swallow. I hear you on that one.
      I loved the top 20 count down too and totally miss it!

    I love all of you posts but this was really helpful to me on another level. Some of these things I do and others I don't. So it encouraged and educated. You often ask for ideas for future posts. Well I did wonder if you could think about how we can deal with negative and bullying bosses and people in authority. It is often hard to remove oneself from their influence and is quite demoralizing. Thanks again

    Hi julia I hav really struggled with taking things personally but I am working on it. Also working on being more assertive as I hav also struggled with that for a long time. As for being more fun I really try to do because I want to and I feel that I get made fun of when I do that. That's really hard as i hav suffered with depression n anxiety n stress for a long time.

    A Letter to my Fake Best Friend that turned out to be a Demonically-Possessed Narcissist! You discovered my powerful LOVE ENERGY from the very day of our meeting; which I still believe was orchestrated by FATHER GOD! THE GREAT DIVINE CREATOR "KNOWS ALL!" & Everything happens for a "PURPOSE!" Discovering the Deception & Evil of my friend, has completely "changed" my entire perception about "LIFE!" I have honestly learned so much from being involved with you ... actually owe you gratitude for "opening my eyes!" to so much Evil & Deception that exists today ... that I was drawn closer to discovering "WHO I AM" & "MY PURPOSE!!!" FATHER GOD used this toxic relationship, in order to draw me closer to HIM; so I could awaken the Unconditional LOVE & precious BLESSED GIFTS & TALENTS that were lying dormant! My experience of learning from you, studying you like a specimen under a microscope in a science lab; receiving the intellect, Wisdom, Knowledge, Insight, Intuition, Focus & abilities that encouraged me to embark upon my Journey & Destiny to higher dimensional existence -- in Vibrational Frequencies & ENERGY of LOVE ~ LIGHT & TRUTH!!! ... will never-ever be forgotten ... through intense intrigue & curiosity ... you made a great impact on my LIFE & FUTURE!!!

      Julia Kristina Counselling Hi Julia....not too much. My husband and I are working on that....he has a tendency , when I am telling him something , in the beginning of my talking to say "uh huh", and it interrupts me, so I've asked him to please not do that.. but yes....it seems I have to say something over and over a lot, to be heard, or sometimes I get angry, and say something ugly, which I don't want to do.....but he does think about it, like when he's driving to work, ....and will usually say he's sorry. With my family of origin.....no. I usually get told I'm wrong, in one way or another, if I'm not a carbon copy of my parents....
