Dude!!! Fucking sick video, straight to the point, concise, easy to follow and that wiring schematic at the start, Sheesh. I have not seen anyone do that before. Please make more!!!!!
This is nice for short time defense raid. It's still better if you put basic power saving circuit with blocker and xor switch. What would you do if it's night and a long raid?
That's an option for you too definitely. However as long as the broadcaster isn't broadcasting a signal the large battery will not drain any power so the battery fully charged quickly. As long as you use 6 solar panels you could have the pods on at all times theoretically, and it will last you through the night. If you don't have any solar panels a fully charged battery should last you around 5 hours which should last you through any raid.
Yep it will not drain any battery as long it's not activated and will last a long time in night. But that's not the only you need to consider in raid the purpose of basic power saving circuit is not just to save power but to become emergency power if one of the power sources is destroyed during raid. I'm not saying this is wrong tho this is enough to defend the base but lots of power is being wasted instead being use of.
Very true and I do something similar for the main circuit / turrets in my base's compound. When I made this pod, it was just meant to be easy to set-up, placed outside my base in order to slow down the raiders and make them waste at least some of their boom on the pod. Perhaps I will release a more in-depth pod with your suggestions in the future!
Sorry haven't checked in. I use the broadcasters/receivers over a smart switch so I can just pair one switch instead of multiple. You can certainly pair them with smart switches instead
hi im just wondering if there is any way to implement motion sensors or anything . we want to use these pods to help deter offline raiders while we go away for the weekend but we also dont want to leave them open the whole time incase the turrets get grubbed. we want to be notified if we are getting raided and be able to open the pods from my phone while im away if thats possible
Yeah there are, I am also away but I have a circuit I can link you can use for the future. Basically you just set the hbhf sensors to trigger a broadcaster on a timer which sends a signal to the pods to open them.
Thanks for the tips! Me and my boyfriend play rust and have been struggling with the Electricity so now we just roleplay.
Really nice video

When you showed me this originally awhile back it really helped a lot with raid defense!
Effective raid defense!

Why do you use RF receivers and RF broadcasters if a simple smart switch can be used instead of them?

Just had the agony of building 6 of these on our base ty for the design man but bruh is it annoying to build it 6 times as a trio😂
Yeah there's no denying that 🤣
