good morning chaos fragrance, 2 months ago for the first time in my life at the age of 40 I started wearing cologne, and I noticed from all the youtube videos creed aventus is like the most talked about, but it is a few hundred dollars, I went on the creed website and found the aventus oil for 210dollars, I was wondering would I be able to make cologne from this using the method videos out there with perfumers alcohol? is that about right, if so my math says I should be able to get 2 bottles for less than the prize of one. not sure if this is how oils and cologne work, please school me, thanks. p.s. I am a subscriber and you are my go to guy, I bought my first cologne from your suggestion and I'm super happy.
Gerald Torres Aventus perfumes oil from Creed cannot be a substitute for the perfume itself! If it costs $210, just save a few more bucks and offer yourself the eau de parfum, then after maybe you can purchase the accessories such as the perfumed oil, the body soap etc...! I use the perfumed oil to moisturize the spots where I normally spray my perfume as to make it last longer & project better! Hope you enjoy it!
I respect Aventus for what it has accomplished. It’s a gamble when you buy a bottle because there is a chance it will not smell like your previous bottle. For the price, that is too big of a risk for me to take
Your right... I own two bottles, from 17 and 18 they smell good. But to be honest the limited cdnim smells great no difference to my 17 bottle. I finish what i have and then stick to cdnim edp....

I bought my first ever Aventus this spring on the gray market and received a 2019 batch and love it! I just wore it casually as I work in hvac and not in an office. Casually, it didn't seem to last long. Didnt seem to perform well. However, there is something to the nose blind. I wore it 2 days ago in a court case I had to attend. I sprayed it 9:30 in the morning. I got whiffs all day long even with a mask on. Healthy whiffs. Court lasted until 8 in the evening. I went out later with my brother and still caught healthy whiffs until midnight easy. So, I can attest tob the fact that it lasts long. I just think we become nose blind. By the way, I applied 4 sprays
I still have an original 2010 Creed Aventus bottle, bought a New bottle a week ago 8 sprays later the new batch was still smelling the next day even after a shower you need to get lucky I suppose don't have any issues it smells like Aventus. By the way Subscribe this dude is pretty cool. Cheers.

Thank you for giving us a video talking about this re-formulation. It is frustrating to purchase an expensive fragrance only to discover it does not smell like you expect( it’s nice to hear that it is not the case for Aventus.
I tried it for the first time today. All i can say it is that it is one of the lightest fragrance i've tried. It is like an Eau Fraiche rather than an EDP. I had to spray 3 times the sample on a single spot on my hand to be able to smell it. The scent is very very light, after 1 hour it became a super soft skin scent that i was hardly be able to smell. Everything about this scent ( for what I'm experiencing in 2020 ) is a complete joke: the scent, the longevity, the sillage, concentration, the price.
Absolutely true. Had the exact same experience. Bought one few days ago. All the controversy around aventus is true for me, and the positive reviews if there are any seem like bs for promotion purposes.
Blind bought my first bottle from Creed Boutique in Las Vegas (Had a friend bring it back for me). Literally the first woman I came across after applying..."Someone smells SOOO good". I dont know what the "original" smell that everybody is chasing is but my '19 batch does the job very well.
Spot on! I read that they added “orange” , and I can slightly detect it. Therefore, literally the only difference is that there is a slight bit more of a juicy citrus vibe from the orange. Makes it mite juicy/bright. The pineapple / bergamot is still very present with vanilla / birch in the background
I own a 2016 and 2019 batch. I too can see that the newer batch is much clearer and does smell a bit more lite/brighter. Having said that I still do like the 2019 batch. Thanks for the content. BTW having to stay in is giving me the opportunity to wear my cheaper frags and clones
For me on my skin, it’s mostly gone after 3-4 hours. Did the IFRA ban something that enabled Aventus to last longer?? Yes, the newer bottles still have that awesome quaint essential DNA, but the performance has certainly been shortened 😢
I spoke with a perfumer recently and he told me the hype around Creed Aventus batches is nonsense. He has been around Aventus for 10 years and believes the amount of money and status that Creed has means that any issues with quality control, or a complete change in DNA of a fragrance is highly unlikely. Our sense of smell changes frequently and we can become less sensitive to our existing fragrances over time. Fragrance DNA also changes over time, not just depending on how it is kept but in general. With this being said then a 5 year old bottle of Aventus may possibly have a slightly different scent to our noses, particularly if we are used to wearing it, compared to a brand new bottle. Anyone buying a new bottle of Creed Aventus today should not be disappointed.
Nope, you're wrong. I am a parfumeur, and the new Creed Aventus clearly sucks balls! And professionalism is lost in the inability to come to the public with consistency! They know what people like, but they cannot reduplicate it! They have simply lost their touch!
I have 19Z01 and lasts a good 12 hours on skin for me and seems more like the 2013 aventus batches with the extra birch. Interesting video but I do wonder if its all about skin chemistry as comparing this to my 13U02 it smells much more similar to that batch as compared to any recent batches like 17t01, 18d02 or 15u11, which I also own. All said and done Aventus is Aventus and it all dries down to the exact same smell ( unless you have a pre 2013 batch which is slightly more on the ashy / smokey side )
It's a fact the new batch is watered down. The bergamot no longer has the bright citrusy smell that it used to have. Smells more like a blood orange now

Dior Homme Intense 2020 vs previous one would be a nice option. We all are aware that Dior Homme 2020 is totally different but I've heard DHI 2020 is closer to original
Aventus is dead now. I had batches from 2011 too 2015. At least 2 bottles a year. This stuff was majestic. Ultimate compliments. Crazy projection and longevity. Fast forward to 2018 and it’s got worse, weaker and more expensive. It’s almost insulting. If anything, latest batches smell a little weird. I detect something my nose had never done before. No one complimented recent batches. My Mrs hates Aventus now. She loved it 2015 and 2016 but said it smells like cat piss now. She prefers PV Emperor and even CDNI. The frag world has moved on now and in comparison to other Niche Scents it’s mediocre for the price. I hope the fall in sales and Aventus fan boys like me are no longer fans will push the new owners of Creed to do something about this. If they made a flanker Aventus Intense / Extreme and took it back to those infamous batches I would buy a bottle tomorrow. Until that happens I will not buy anymore Creed fragrances.
I used to get tired of aventus just getting into fragrance. I like to be different but after all these months I said screw it. I paid for a 22C01 bottle… I’m pretty excited to finally give “the king of fragrances” a shot.
Thank you. I'm new to Aventus and i got the newest batch 19Z01N and i got no issues. But i can tell that over time a lot of fragrances get stronger in scent and performance especially in the first year. so it is possible that you will get that 10-11 hours longevity in 2021 with your new bottle.
I got the same batch and a solid performance, 8-9 hours longevity and nuclear projection for the first 3 hours. Dont understand what all the whining is about. It may be not as dense and smokey as it used to be once, but its still great and still a beast.

Aventus is aventus... Yes there are slight variations... But 99.999% of people cannot tell the difference. I have the "great" 15u11 also 17n01, 19s01 and i have decants of some 13s and 18s.... Honestly i love them all. I also have CDNIM and after 30 mins the dry down is bang on. DONT read into it guys. If you own aventus.... YOU have the best fragrance. Dont go on the hunt for that "holy grail" cause if you own any aventus.... You got it.
The reason people think it smells different or last less longer is it depends what climate your in i have smelled my aventus while i was in miami and was much fruitier due to high humidity and in northern states cold dry weather smells more vanilla and woods less fruit
My bottle from 2019 will potentially be my last bottle. I doesn’t smell as outstanding, it doesn’t perform as well as it used to & I no longer get compliments from it. I literally haven’t gotten one compliment from it & I understand why. I was disappointed when I first sprayed it & it still hasn’t aged in a more attractive way. At least I had my time to shine with previous batches. Long live the legend.

I wrote to Creed to ask about the reformulation and they said to me that the fragrance is the same, no reformulation done...I think the fact that the parfum has plenty of natural elements, some of them hard to find in same quantities, they have to "change" the formula a little bit...but always keeping the same DNA. If you use Club de nuit...you'll be happy in the dry down but it smell cheap, specially in the opening, and also, its very artificial, you dont know what substances are you putting on your skin...honestly, I prefer to save money and buy Aventus rather than buying club de nuit...
If one has fu-money I would totally recommend the most recent batches and tell them to reapply the juice every couple of hours instead spraying plenty in hope to extend longevity. This is one of those fragrances that just evaporate quickly regardless of how much you spray. I went with 12-16 sprays and it is pretty much gone after 2 hours and you're left with a faint birch and a little musk. It kind of makes sense as most of the magic happens in the opening and the middle accord is more about subdued woody/floral notes. Compare Aventus' rose and Mefisto's. These are different worlds. Even the vanilla in the base is insignificant with my 2022 batch. I don't get any oak moss (compared to my beloved Hacivat) and neither any patchouli. The musk is phenomanel but unfortunately rather subtle and I get it exclusively after having sprayed a lot and being 6 hours into the drydown. Basically only towards the end. Aventus is probably the weakest performer of all my 50 fragrances and dozens of samples. It has the projection of a weaker extrait and the longevity of an eau de cologne.
I’ve been wanting your opinion on new Aventus batches ! I tried a few (2017-2019) and wasn’t impressed. Yes they were good! But nothing like the hype. As a consumer I should NEVER have to worry abt the company’s quality control, that’s suuuch an unnecessary thing to have to go through my mind. I own a 2019 bottle , I've never owned or smelt any other Aventus batch. For me personally the fragrance is great , it has very strong projection for the first 3 hours and I get around 10/12 hours longevity. If you were looking to buy a new bottle then I wouldn't hesitate.
Never had creed before but batch 19U11 has just turned up. Just got out the shower so sprayed 4 times. Im not sure if it's any good or not but smells alright at the moment
I also bought a bottle of this few months back during winter. It isn't beast mode as others have said. Still love it though so I just completely overspray. Though I would save more of it if it was beast mode.
Haven't smelled this one. However, I have 19Y11N, and that has an Aventus opening. BUT, the dry down just isn't there anymore. Can't smell anyyyyyyyyyy birch in the dry down, and over all it seems fairly linear.

My 19Y01N bottle I bought from July 2020, the juice inside is also very clear like in this video, not a bit yellow like my 2017 bottle. BUT, I decant new bottle to 10ml spray, then put the bottle in it's box, let it sit for a while, now I see the color turn yellow just like old 2017 bottle. I guess it sit down made the ingredients blend better and smell better.
Makes me kind of sad that I didn't get into Aventus until recently. I decided I am not going to fork out the cash for the older formulations. Also decants through the groups/raffles have helped me out too. Now I own a 30ml 19P11, and 50ml 19U01. I did however buy my first full presentation Creed bottle of Aventus Cologne since that stuff really blew me away in terms of smell. Would like to see you do a full depth review of it
Batch variations of Creed Aventus is Lack of quality control. Paying $400 plus for something that doesn’t last long or smell different shouldn’t exist. Hopefully the new Creed owners improve on the consistency of the scent.
I love aventus , I’ve got a 100ml and also picked up a 50 ml back up .... BUT, I got a sample of afnan silver supremacy with a purchase a while back and I’ll be honest it’s so so good and very close to the real thing , to me anyway
I have a 2019 batch and it’s really heavy on the pineapple and citrus. I personally enjoy it. Wish it was a little bit smokier. Also, it doesn’t seem to perform the best.

Since lyral was banned last year it obviously had to be reformulated. That doesn't necessarily mean that the new version has to be worse than the previous formulations.
Is there anyway you can do a review on the newer batches of CDNIM? My newer one smells a bit different than my 2018 batch, is there anyway you can do a review on the newer batches and see if it’s still pretty close to Aventus? That’s really the only reason I buy CDNIM is because it’s so close to Aventus and I just don’t have the extra money to get Aventus right now. Nice concept Dallas! I would recommend doing a review on the newest batch of Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. I have the newest batch and there has been discussion that it has been reformulated. Never had any older formulations, so would love to hear your opinion
i got a 2020 batch it smells good and the preformance is not that bad for me but than again i never owned a older batch , but the diffrence is that with eros you dont break the bank if but if you buy a 300 dollar fragrence and it preforms bad now thats frustrating

Aventus isn’t the same fragrance anymore. Apparently it’s a brighter fresher fragrance now that’s even more mass appealing. No more high dose of patchouli or birch.
I assume there's no way to try an older batch from 2014 or 2016, in 2023. Or if the 2023 batch (current) is still worth getting? and has the same good sillage or performance/scent?
My last bottle batch L4221U01 was an absolute disaster… like a water down version and it was purchased from Creed Boutique directly. Never again Creed, Aventus would replace by Y or Explorer.
What would you recommend if my favorite fragrance is Dolce and Gabana light Blue intense? I like the citrusy and saltyness. I’m looking for something very fresh and transparent and citrusy. Not really dense or musky. Very clear and refreshing smelling is what I’m going for like D&G light Blue intense. I just don’t know where else to look.
I loved aventus so much, it was my signature sent of 2019. then i bought armaf club de nuit intense, and since then i can not smell the aventus DNA.. sad story short, parfums de marly & maison francis kurkdijan is the way to go for me now👍🏼
I kind of disagree with the video. I bought a new bottle of aventus last week. My versace dylan bleu lasts longer than my aventus. I sprayed both on my arms and dylan bleu doesnt only last longer, it projects stronger as well.

I tried a new batch of Aventus today at a Bloomingdale's and honestly, I don't think it smells like Aventus. I believe it is taking a different way, it smells way more citrus and lighter. Dry down has changed as well, I could get that smoky vibe, instead I got more like an earthy smell ( patchouli) neither got that musky smell. I own CDNIM limited edition and I do believe it smells like the Aventus we all knew back then. I am pleased with my $65 CDNIM LIMITED BOTTLE.
Creeds started going down the shitter after 2014. How do I know? All of the bottles I own pre 2015 smell like completely different fragrances from my post 2015 bottles especially GIT.
It sucks. I bought a bottle and need to put my nose right up to the skin to smell it. For $35 its hard to complain ... but LCDN Intense is useless now. And older bottles are hard to find now.

A friend of mine told me that the new version of creed aventus misses the smoky note which is prominent in the old versions so idk if its righ or not?

Interesting video but I do wonder if its all about skin chemistry as comparing this to my 13U02 it smells much more similar to that batch as compared to any recent batches like 17t01, 18d02 or 15u11, which I also own. All said and done Aventus is Aventus and it all dries down to the exact same smell ( unless you have a pre 2013 batch which is slightly more on the ashy / smokey side )
It's a fact the new batch is watered down. The bergamot no longer has the bright citrusy smell that it used to have. Smells more like a blood orange now

Aventus blended with Molecule 01 smells incredibly good! You should try layering Molecule 01 over Aventus. I highly recommended.

Aventus is dead now. I had batches from 2011 too 2015. At least 2 bottles a year. This stuff was majestic. Ultimate compliments. Crazy projection and longevity. Fast forward to 2018 and it’s got worse, weaker and more expensive. It’s almost insulting. If anything, latest batches smell a little weird. I detect something my nose had never done before. No one complimented recent batches. My Mrs hates Aventus now. She loved it 2015 and 2016 but said it smells like cat piss now. She prefers PV Emperor and even CDNI. The frag world has moved on now and in comparison to other Niche Scents it’s mediocre for the price. I hope the fall in sales and Aventus fan boys like me are no longer fans will push the new owners of Creed to do something about this. If they made a flanker Aventus Intense / Extreme and took it back to those infamous batches I would buy a bottle tomorrow. Until that happens I will not buy anymore Creed fragrances.

I used to get tired of aventus just getting into fragrance. I like to be different but after all these months I said screw it. I paid for a 22C01 bottle… I’m pretty excited to finally give “the king of fragrances” a shot.

I'm new to Aventus and i got the newest batch 19Z01N and i got no issues. But i can tell that over time a lot of fragrances get stronger in scent and performance especially in the first year. so it is possible that you will get that 10-11 hours longevity in 2021 with your new bottle.
Agreed mine got a yellow tint and performed better after one year of buying.
I got the same batch and a solid performance, 8-9 hours longevity and nuclear projection for the first 3 hours. Dont understand what all the whining is about. It may be not as dense and smokey as it used to be once, but its still great and still a beast.

Aventus is aventus... Yes there are slight variations... But 99.999% of people cannot tell the difference. I have the "great" 15u11 also 17n01, 19s01 and i have decants of some 13s and 18s.... Honestly i love them all. I also have CDNIM and after 30 mins the dry down is bang on. DONT read into it guys. If you own aventus.... YOU have the best fragrance. Dont go on the hunt for that "holy grail" cause if you own any aventus.... You got it.
The reason people think it smells different or last less longer is it depends what climate your in i have smelled my aventus while i was in miami and was much fruitier due to high humidity and in northern states cold dry weather smells more vanilla and woods less fruit
My bottle from 2019 will potentially be my last bottle. I doesn’t smell as outstanding, it doesn’t perform as well as it used to & I no longer get compliments from it. I literally haven’t gotten one compliment from it & I understand why. I was disappointed when I first sprayed it & it still hasn’t aged in a more attractive way. At least I had my time to shine with previous batches. Long live the legend.

I wrote to Creed to ask about the reformulation and they said to me that the fragrance is the same, no reformulation done...I think the fact that the parfum has plenty of natural elements, some of them hard to find in same quantities, they have to "change" the formula a little bit...but always keeping the same DNA. If you use Club de nuit...you'll be happy in the dry down but it smell cheap, specially in the opening, and also, its very artificial, you dont know what substances are you putting on your skin...honestly, I prefer to save money and buy Aventus rather than buying club de nuit...
If one has fu-money I would totally recommend the most recent batches and tell them to reapply the juice every couple of hours instead spraying plenty in hope to extend longevity. This is one of those fragrances that just evaporate quickly regardless of how much you spray. I went with 12-16 sprays and it is pretty much gone after 2 hours and you're left with a faint birch and a little musk.
It kind of makes sense as most of the magic happens in the opening and the middle accord is more about subdued woody/floral notes. Compare Aventus' rose and Mefisto's. These are different worlds. Even the vanilla in the base is insignificant with my 2022 batch. I don't get any oak moss (compared to my beloved Hacivat) and neither any patchouli. The musk is phenomanel but unfortunately rather subtle and I get it exclusively after having sprayed a lot and being 6 hours into the drydown. Basically only towards the end.
Aventus is probably the weakest performer of all my 50 fragrances and dozens of samples. It has the projection of a weaker extrait and the longevity of an eau de cologne.
I’ve been wanting your opinion on new Aventus batches ! I tried a few (2017-2019) and wasn’t impressed. Yes they were good! But nothing like the hype. As a consumer I should NEVER have to worry abt the company’s quality control, that’s suuuch an unnecessary thing to have to go through my mind. I own a 2019 bottle , I've never owned or smelt any other Aventus batch. For me personally the fragrance is great , it has very strong projection for the first 3 hours and I get around 10/12 hours longevity. If you were looking to buy a new bottle then I wouldn't hesitate.

I also bought a bottle of this few months back during winter. It isn't beast mode as others have said. Still love it though so I just completely overspray. Though I would save more of it if it was beast mode.
I just bought a batch of 19P11 and it’s very bright opening, almost citrusy/apple. Doesn’t smoke down till very very later.

Haven't smelled this one. However, I have 19Y11N, and that has an Aventus opening. BUT, the dry down just isn't there anymore. Can't smell anyyyyyyyyyy birch in the dry down, and over all it seems fairly linear.

My 19Y01N bottle I bought from July 2020, the juice inside is also very clear like in this video, not a bit yellow like my 2017 bottle. BUT, I decant new bottle to 10ml spray, then put the bottle in it's box, let it sit for a while, now I see the color turn yellow just like old 2017 bottle. I guess it sit down made the ingredients blend better and smell better.

Makes me kind of sad that I didn't get into Aventus until recently. I decided I am not going to fork out the cash for the older formulations. Also decants through the groups/raffles have helped me out too. Now I own a 30ml 19P11, and 50ml 19U01. I did however buy my first full presentation Creed bottle of Aventus Cologne since that stuff really blew me away in terms of smell. Would like to see you do a full depth review of it

Batch variations of Creed Aventus is Lack of quality control. Paying $400 plus for something that doesn’t last long or smell different shouldn’t exist. Hopefully the new Creed owners improve on the consistency of the scent.

I have a 2019 batch and it’s really heavy on the pineapple and citrus. I personally enjoy it. Wish it was a little bit smokier. Also, it doesn’t seem to perform the best.

Yes I I think it has been reformulated I have one that I bought in 2017 and it was better and more musky than the one that I bought in 2019.
Get a 2020 Eros Batch just to get disappointed with the performance, perhaps reviewers stop hyping it.

DIY fix, Ambroxan 5gs plus 100ml of perfumers alcohol. about £30..... sprayed over Aventus and it surpasses old projection levels.

Aventus isn’t the same fragrance anymore. Apparently it’s a brighter fresher fragrance now that’s even more mass appealing. No more high dose of patchouli or birch.

My last bottle batch L4221U01 was an absolute disaster… like a water down version and it was purchased from Creed Boutique directly.

What would you recommend if my favorite fragrance is Dolce and Gabana light Blue intense? I like the citrusy and saltyness. I’m looking for something very fresh and transparent and citrusy. Not really dense or musky. Very clear and refreshing smelling is what I’m going for like D&G light Blue intense. I just don’t know where else to look.

I kind of disagree with the video. I bought a new bottle of aventus last week. My versace dylan bleu lasts longer than my aventus. I sprayed both on my arms and dylan bleu doesnt only last longer, it projects stronger as well.
I have 19s11, and I have been happy with it. Although, I should say that I don't have any other batches for comparison.

Glad to hear the nose blindness to the scent is a common thing. After an hour of wearing it I can't really smell it but others can.

I tried a new batch of Aventus today at a Bloomingdale's and honestly, I don't think it smells like Aventus. I believe it is taking a different way, it smells way more citrus and lighter. Dry down has changed as well, I could get that smoky vibe, instead I got more like an earthy smell ( patchouli) neither got that musky smell.
I own CDNIM limited edition and I do believe it smells like the Aventus we all knew back then. I am pleased with my $65 CDNIM LIMITED BOTTLE.
Creeds started going down the shitter after 2014. How do I know? All of the bottles I own pre 2015 smell like completely different fragrances from my post 2015 bottles especially GIT.

It sucks. I bought a bottle and need to put my nose right up to the skin to smell it. For $35 its hard to complain ... but LCDN Intense is useless now. And older bottles are hard to find now.
