I still love Aventus and the clones don’t compare to it. It’s still my most complimented fragrance and I have over 400 fragrances.
The clones suck i tried goin cheat and spent hacivat it performs but its kind of weird smelling at times not a crowd pleaser and it was 155 dollars im gonna spend the 300 on creed cologne

I completely agree with you I bought a 15 mL decant of creed aventus and it smells of more significant quality of armafs club intense. Personally I would purchase a full bottle if I could afford it

Hi Ross, I recently discovered your channel via Justin's videos and loved your content immediately. And 100% with you on this, finished my long time worn Aventus and man I really don't think that I'll buy it again. All good suggestions here and I just want to add another one, an old Turkish cologne brand Rebul started a niche line called Atelier Rebul and their the Atelier fragrance is a great Aventus inspired scent.
First off, I just want to say good job. You're doing a great job. You're probably the only frag reviewer I check out on UA-cam. And I've seen them all in the last 15 years.
A couple of weeks ago, I dropped a comment on your review of Not Only Intense. I compared it to Club de Nuit Intense Pure Parfum and Limited Edition. And of course to Aventus. I said I'd pick the Not Only Intense over both Club de Nuit Intense. For someone who has owned over 13 bottles of Aventus since 2010, I'd also pick the Not Only Intense over any Aventus made after 2012. What a blasphemous thing to say 🤣.
Not Only Intense is a monster. A beast. Reminds me of Aventus pre-2012.
I left home 5 o'clock this morning with 3 sprays of Not Only Intense. Back home now it's 6:30 in the evening, I can still smell this monster. The sillage is beyond belief.

Agreed with your take. Nishan Hacivat is solid. I have that. Also have DUA Poseidons Elixir 2.0 and Pineapple Vintage Intense The One. Solid as well both more in line with fruity versions and easy 10+ hours for me.
I had a 2017 Aventus batch but sold it. To me wasnt worth it with the collection I had.
Also theres a couple of DUAs that are hybrids - Poseidons Invasion (Aventus and Invasion Barbare) and Poseidons Berry Affair which are good too!

Afnan Supremacyc NOI is my new aventus DNA favorite. I have had many OG Creed Aventus bottles, but with all the clones and inspired by's, creed comes in around 4th place on a good day. Creed has lost the crown, but without Creed there wouldnt be that scent DNA we all love. So thank you Creed for the Aventus scent profile!

This was a much needed video. I too own many different variations/clones on Aventus as well as a 2015 batch that's has about 40% left that NEVER gets sprayed. Those that are just getting into fragrances definitely get asked about Aventus and have NO clue about batch variations until they dig further into. It's absolutely not worth the cost that's being charged these days. Aventus is like the hypebeast that won't go away lol.

Great video buddy! Try and get your nose on Borouj Spiritus! It's a very great quality Aventus inspired. Borouj Perlador( A hyped up Inspired version of PDM Carlisle) I totally agree with you that Aventus is a fool's gold at this point in time.
I can see the argument. My 2019 bottle, 19U11, smells amazing, performances good, and it was my first niche purchase. The crazy part now is when you can get the CDNIM Limited Edition Parfum for $60 that smells very close while performing better or Hacivat that takes the scent profile to another level, why even go for Aventus? It is getting to the point of being Fools Gold and not many want to admit it. A lot of beginners come into Fragcom and see that as the pinnacle of fragrances but there really isn't a pinnacle at all.

I have to disagree in that I enjoy my 2021 bottle of Aventus much more than Hacivat or CDNIM. Honestly, if I dropped and broke my bottles of Hacivat or CDNIM, then I wouldn't bother replacing them, but I'd definitely buy a new bottle of Aventus if I lost it that way! And I'm saying this even though Aventus isn't even close to being my favorite fragrance; it's totally excellent IMHO tho!
Nishane Hacivat is an excellent alternative! I definitely feel the similarity! I've had my 100ml bottle for over 2 years now. If I can get aventus for less than $200 then I might buy it.
I picked up a 8ml decant of Aventus. I wanted to know what the hype was about. I got maybe 2 hours out of it. I like Micallef's Royal Vintage better and longer lasting. Royal Vintage I can get in 30ml at a more reasonable price. I do want to try Nouvelle Liaison from House of Sillage.
Thankfully I have 4 four ounce bottles of Aventus from 2016. 16L01,16H11,16C01 and 16M01.
All of them are great!

Got Hacivat in the mail today. Performance is nuclear. Love it. Still prefer Aventus, I think it’s the perfect mix of the DNA. This is still absolutely incredible, though.
Adventus is still 14K gold but Nishane Hacivat is 24K gold and Club De Nuit Intense is 18K gold. All of them are great and nice quality but these two new fragrances with a similar DNA out perform their old grandfather.
Ross you should try pineapple intense from Montagne Parfums. It’s probably the best at around $50 for a 50 ml bottle.
Have you tried King of Kings 2.0 yet Ross? I know you’re a fan of the OG and can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Have you tried the new CDNIM EDT? I got it and the performance feels much weaker, probably to try to push the Pure Parfum and the EDP sales up....
I have a decant of aventus and it's a 2021 batch I mostly do 2 sprays on each side of the neck and I get 5 to 6 hours and I get whiffs of it here and there. It may last longer but by then I shower and then I still smell it on my skin but very faint.

I love Creed Aventus, I don't get the hoop la regarding the batch thing ... The DNA of Aventus is there and it's signature is unmistakable! My choice any day, anytime, or whenever! Creed Aventus, there is no substitute!
I have a newer batch and I don't have a problem with it's longevity. And oddly enough my sotd on the 4th was hacivat. I agree hacivat is completely different to me.
Afnan SNOI is my scent of the day, so good in the heat and humidity.

I have a bunch of aventus clones. I only have a small sample of aventus. I have to say, the opening and mid have a nice fruity quality that I don’t get from the clones. One day I’ll get a full bottle but I think it’s bottle worthy to me.
First time I wore Armaf Club de Nuit and got two compliments. It will be awhile before I invest in Creed Aventus.
I actually never bought a full bottle of Aventus and only own a 30ML decant I got from someone on eBay (batch 18B11 although I don't really keep up on the batch thing). Also own Club De Nuit Intense and I wanna get my nose on Pineapple Vintage's Vanilla Intense (the idea of Aventus with vanilla sounds amazing to me cause vanilla's my favorite note). After that I think my Aventus DNA collection is complete cause I don't personally need a shitload of Aventus clones. I will say though another good one is London from English Laundry. Pretty good Aventus clone for like $20 last time I checked.
For me, it's the same, I prefer Mont Blanc Explorer more because in the high heat humidity Corpus Christi, it's not as stringent. For me it's just more wearable. Which should be a big factor in your selection.
Ah..... the infamous Creed Aventus! I might be in the minority but I really don't understand all the hype or people claiming to be the "king" of all fragrances. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice, inoffensive scent and all but for me, I simply cannot understand how anyone would pay in the upwards of $400+in retail or $250+ at a discounter for this. Yes, I've tried Aventus along with few clones/inspired ones and one would be crazy to buy the original when you can the clones/inspired ones for a fraction of the cost that smells pretty darn close to it. if you are not an avid collector, you could probably go without Aventus (same for GIT), if you are a collector nothing wrong with having a bottle. I bought a bottle from Venba (Ross recommended) in 2020 20k01 batch, used it occasionally, sprayed it the other day and there was a distinct difference in smell and longevity, it was better imo.
I have both the cdnim edp and aventure intense. Aventure smells identical to aventus but doesn’t last long. However cdnim is a beast. Great projection, dry down is solid and opening is fine and lasts long
I think that when there are so many great clones out there it would seem redundant to me. CDNIM, L'Aventure are brilliant and even Zara has a great cheapie alternative called Vibrant Leather. I'd buy the real deal if it wasn't so outrageously expensive.
Aventus is definitely fools gold. Have a 21Z01 and would not recommend anybody get it. Mine has sillage max 15 minutes, longevity maybe 2 hours, but intimate longevity only. I would recommend Morning Chess from VIlhelm (closer to CDNIM), Hacivat from Nishane (darker, a bit for more older), and Cedrat Boise for a fruitier take (sweeter, for younger). And for context: I only got it with the intention of having it so I can say it's bad (plan to get into IG some time soon), but I did hope to at least get some wear out of it in the gym or something. Can't even do that... lol
I got club de nuit intense man and I've had a decant of aventus and I actually got more compliments on the cdnim. Maybe coincidence?? Either way I'm not going to be able to afford the full bottle of creed anytime soon lol
I feel like I'm almost obligated to try it, just to say that I've had the experience, but I really feel no desire to. I feel that way about Dior Sauvage as well.

I agree, if Aventus had the same performance as it used to i would pay the money. But now days i get the same vibe from explorer CDNMI. Also the average joe, 99% of people of the street smelling your sillage in the air aint gonna tell any difference.
I really like Aventus but it's been over-cloned. And the scent is a little passé, or I thought it was. I have a decant of a batch I didn't like at the time so I left it for a few years. Anyway I decided to use up the last 25mls, so I gave it a blast......wow the scent has matured into the scent that Aventus is known for, not only that but I could still smell where I sprayed 2days after. So the conclusion is if you've purchased a bottle and it appears weak you may need to only use it on special occasions and let it age like wine.
Its natural ingredients mean you wont get good performance until a few years after purchase. Just spray it a few times when buying a new batch so it oxidises and put it in a draw for 2 years then take it out. Thats why old batches are so sort after due to maturation.
Aventus still smells really good. A coworker of mine wears aventus and its just still very good but I can't spend that kind of money. I have one dupe by Dua and it's a fresher inspired version with Iso e super and other notes not in the original. I love my dupe.

I have a tiny bit of the legendary, 2011 C42B11X02 batch of Aventus left. Nobody can clone that monster of a fragrance, but I wish somebody could, because it's the best Aventus I've ever owned. I also have a small decant left of a 2013 batch (C42B13W01) that is more fruity but not as beastly version of Aventus. It's very difficult, if not impossible, to emulate or clone the OG batches of Aventus, but DUA has come pretty close with their "Origins Of Poseidon: EST 2010" bottles. Most of these other frags you've showed on this video are too artificial-smelling in my opinion. Yes, even Nishane's Hacivat.
@@realrareap2420 Yes, I do. It's the closest clone to emulate the OG Aventus, but it's still not what those legendary Aventus batches are. I don't think anyone can recreate the OG Aventus. Not even Creed themselves. The DUA "Origins Of Poseidon: EST 2010" gets close like I said but it's still not the same.
My favorite unique alternative but not a clone of Aventus is Fashion District EDP, it's a cross between Aventus and Michael Jordan Legend 😎
Same here bro' ! I had bought Aventus years ago....have no idea of the "batch" or whatever. THEN...the major hype train started and has never stopped...lol...right ? So...I just let myself "forget" about it.
Now, I own many clones of Aventus....and yes.....I love a couple of them way more than the OG Aventus....so I would never buy the actual Aventus again. My 100% favorite clone of it is: CDNIM Limited Edition version ! I all of a sudden have been wearing the crap out of it...and it remains my all-time most complimented scent.....and I have put it in the Top 20 for life scents list. I recently got Hacivat, and, I agree with you on that one. Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense is also awesome....and I find it different in a way from a complete Aventus or Hacivat. I recently got Lattafa Qaed al Furson...and I do like it...but I only get a "vibe" of Hacivat..IMHO. I am late to the Cedrat Boise "party"....have NOT smelled it...(!!!)...gasp !....so I am just going to go for the new Cedrat Boise Intense instead. Mont Blanc Explorer is on it's way to me, after using up my decant....love it.
My top 3 compliment getters are CDNIM EDP, Supremecy NOI and Layton. With CDNIM taking the top spot. Everywhere I go I have people follow me and track me down, women and men to tell me how good I smell and ask what I'm wearing. And a lot of them say "oh man you're wearing Creed." So with that said I see no reason to pay the price of the current Creed.
Curly Fragrance made a good point that older fragrances/ batch codes age and with age they develop a richer, maybe more desired smell which she thinks could be why people say older batches are better
They were also better when they were the current new batches as well. My 19s11 hasn't improved in 3 years. See the point? Yes, with quality oils, fragrances will macerate and will get richer for sure. Most of the time
I agree 100% that it is not the greatest fragrance. It is very good without question but personally I have found other fragrances to be more appealing. Everyone has their own personal favorite for sure. This fragrance is likely to be in most peoples top 10 or even top 5.
I have an Aventus bottle from 2014, and just recently bought a 2022 bottle. The fragrance is not the same.
1st I think if you're a fraghead and you know about Aventus (as most regular everyday folk have no clue about aventus) definitely get at least a 10ml sample and try it and form your own opinion.
2nd about this performance thing I bet we can name over 100 frags from all price points where people complain doesn't perform like it used to I honestly think it a nose blind/mental thing and a spray number thing. You only do 3 sprays but want to be smelled from 20 feet away all day long that not gonna work don't be shy with the trigger spray that shit like it supposed to be sprayed lol
3rd thing something has to be said about how everyone goes nuts over this version and that version I have never seen anything like that from any other frag before to cause that kind of hysteria it must be pretty good. And all the clones like WTF Aventus like 10-12 years old these companies still sole purpose is to copy it or make their version. Nobody doing all that with Nautica Voyage.
And my last point do you really need Aventus hell no but it also about a feeling it gives you of luxury class head held high good feeling!! It is a luxury item like why wear a Rolex does it do anything better than any other watch?? Or Mercedes-Benz vs Toyota. Toyota better gas performance maintenance is better and reliability it way better but nothing like the good feeling of pushing that nice Benz. Same with Aventus nothing (clones) compares!!!

Never been thrilled with Aventus and I 99/100 times pick Aventus cologne. And because of that I have only liked two similar fragrances Elysium and explorer but those are more similar to then inspired by. As far as hacivat or CDNIM or afnan I don’t like them at all. The moss from hacivat is just way to much for me and smells like a mossy cigarette.
It's true, you have to be a bit lucky to get a "good" bottle. I bought my 100ml earlier this year at a very good price (213€), previously I had a 50ml. The scent from the 50ml bottle lasted between 5-6 hours on me, which I found okay despite the price, however the scent from the 100ml bottle easily lasts 10 hours + (it's also a bit smokier and not as fruity). I have also tried some cheaper alternatives, all of which smelled very good, but never triggered the feeling like Aventus. There are too many fond memories associated with it and I like to recall them from time to time. For example, it was the first niche fragrance I ever smelled and loved from the start.

Aventus is The Godfather of Fragrances like it changed the game like Jordan did in 83 on the bulls , it’s just that damn good man like I’m a collector and I’ve smelled A LOT of accords and fragrances/notes etc and I’ve even said some are better than Aventus ….. but you just finding yourself just keep loving it 😂

I have afnan NOI and it barely hits the 4 hour mark on my shirt with 3-4 sprays, i really wanted the arab dupe houses to work but it's been all missed shots up until now, none of them last longer than my cheap designers and yes, they are original I don't get that monster longevity everyone talks about and im not nose blind either because it only happens with afnan, lataffa and armaf. even good ol' trusty legend spirit outperforms them and makes me super sad

Hacivant is amazing on the opening for aboit 20 minutes. The dry down to me is not that good at all. It is a long lasting fragrance though . 8 hrs plus on my skin . Test this out before you buy it
Ill wear Mont Blanc Explorer instead of this. The sampler I had just smelt almost borderline perfumy to me so I let my lady at the time where it or put it on her sheets
The LE CDNIM is so good. Such a well made product. With it existing I have a hard time recommending the normal one. It’s much cheaper but also much worse.
How about EDP vs LE for CDNIM?
I disagree: 2017 (when I started) had performance issues also, same with 2018, 2019 and 2020. All new batches will receive complaints. Some years after, they are suddenly "grail batches". Now my 19p11 is one of the most sought batches, it's great actually.
When you consider a company and their reputation, it’s baffling how and why they would allow the inconsistency of their fragrances to occur.
Obviously, the first answer is profit. The name “Creed” doesn’t carry the weight it once did. Apparently, the dude who is running the show doesn’t know that or doesn’t care.
Because the fake fragrance lover hypebesst will buy it. Creed is the True Religion jean of the frag world. Sheep found out what the OGs were rockin so they follow.

Finally the cold hard truth, I would never pay what Creeds asking for something that isn't even in the grand scheme of things all that special or unique... Great you smell amazing for $400 bucks and I have 10 different ways to do that at half the cost. However I do get it if you have the money and it's your thing have at it Hoss.

Creed Aventus the only fragrance to make me literally salivate
I like it, but I grab explorer and club de nuit intense which sit right beside it . I'd never buy another bottle.
I have a few clones, but the simple truth is that there is NOTHING that can match Aventus in terms of quality and smell. CDN I is a clear imitation. Afnan doesn't hold up. Literally nothing I've ever smelled hits the way Aventus does, which is why I'll probably buy another bottle when my current bottle runs out.
Tres Nuit is a great substitute for Green Irish Tweed. CDN Sillage is not only is a great substitute for Silver Mountain Water, but it actually smells better in some cases because it smells like the old formulation. CDN Milestone is so close to Millésime Impérial that it just doesn't matter anymore. Hell, even Craze is more wearable version of Pegasus.
But when it comes to Aventus, for as many people have tried to clone it, NO ONE has gotten it just right. Aventus is head lining the arena and everyone else is singing karaoke.
Smells great but I want Suavge longevity
I have Afnan NOI, Hacivat, CDNIM LE Parfum, and 2021 aventus. The first 2 definitely nuclear. Even after a quick shower or swimming pool, you can still smell it. CDNIM is very good, that aventus dna is right from the beginning. Not as nuclear as the first 2 but I can smell it for far longer than aventus

I got decants of the newest batch of Aventus and they literally last 15 minutes and dries down to a faint birch bark smell. I know it's not an olfactory fatigue thing because my Parfums Vintage clones perform WAAAAAY better and I get nose blind to THAT one. Clones at this point are way better to own because they actually clone the batches of Aventus that are good. Creed Aventus is going on hype at this point with their bottled fumes.

i always roll my eyes when people make a big deal about the "lemon pledge" opening on cdnim lol....it lasts like 5 minutes and it doesnt actually smell like floor cleaner. people big mad because they try to show off and waste 400 bucks on a frag made by people literally laughing at you because you spent 100s of dollars. thats on them, not me. and ive had decants of aventus, im not just bs-ing

One of my favorite variations now is called "Game Time" from Alexandria Fragrances. It's a combination of BR540 & Aventus. I've never smelled BR540 but Game Time is pretty incredible IMO!

Afnan not only Intense don't even smell like Aventus. It's rather more similar to PR BlackXS.
For me it's the new Club De Nuit Intense Pure Parfum.
Donsent matter how many clones of Aventus will be,,, no one came close to Simple beautifull perfect mix of Aventus
