We are owners at MB Oceanwatch and have stayed here during many different seasons over the years. This is resort is extremely busy during spring break/ Easter time and the summer months. There are several dislikes that we have that have never been resolved here that still get my goat. First is parking….simply put….it sucks ! Ocean side villas are “supposed” to have 2 car max allowed in garage. This is definitely not enforced, because if you go out and are not back by 8pm, you are not getting a spot there and will need to park in the Woodsy lot which is at minimum 10-15 minute walk back. #2 dislike is the reserving of pool chairs as early as 6:30am during busy seasons. This occurs not just here but at many resorts (Aruba is 5:15am) to get a chair around the pool. We do love our home resort even with these pet peeves.
I thought if you were staying in the oceanside building and had two cars they gave you two different colored parking passes. One to park in the garage by the oceanside building and then the other car had to park back in Woodsy? Pool chairs is certainly a problem at many resorts and if I recall correctly OceanWatch has some signs that says chairs can't be reserved before a certain time. I find when they do that it means it is open season for chair hogs once whatever time passes. Thanks for watching!
OceanWatch is a beautiful resort. I can certainly imagine how cold the nights could be there in December. We were in Hilton Head last December and it certain was cold there. Thanks for watching!
I bought my Timeshare for Ocean Watch in 2013 but prior to that I had been going since they first opened. Our favorite close restaurant is Carolina Roadhouse. What we really love is having the full service Marriott Hotel across the driveway. We walk-in, head downstairs and utilize their pools, water slide and pool restaurant. The kitchen you showed looked much smaller than we usually have. I believe the ocean front villas are just a little bit bigger than all the rest, especially with the layout being completely different. Great video!
Yeah, someone else had mentioned that the ocean front units have larger kitchens. I am not sure if the ones in Starfish are like the ones in Maple and Pine which we had or if they are more like Conch and Scallop. Either way, we make it work. Thanks for pointing out the difference and thanks for watching!
I walked through Oceanwatch yesterday. I liked how close the villas were to the beach. I have some family members that lovr the beach but cant do a lot of walking so that's important. The other thing I liked about Oceanwatch are the gas grills. I saw that Sheraton Broadway Plantation had charcoal grills during stay there last week. I think I would prefer gas grills because it's less cleanup.
Keep in mind that there are some villas that are further from the beach. The Maple and Pine buildings that contain the garden view and ocean view villas are behind the mian complex. So if you want to be close to the beach, be sure to reserve oceanfront or ocean side views. As for the gas grills. Sheraton Broadway Plantation does have them too. I show them in my resort tour of that resort; ua-cam.com/video/KgiUI_aoxB8/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
The "Whatever Crab" sounds like an interesting place to eat LOL!!! We are heading there at the end of December! The pools look great! Did you take the drone shots yourself???
The Whatever Crab was only a little bit better than the Cranky Crab restaurant😆 Yes, I got a drone a few months ago and OceanWatch was the first resort where I flew the drone. Thanks for watching!
@@DestinationTimeshareyay...great...i want to fly there too....what time of day did you do it where most people where not out...or does it depend on time of year too
The three front buildings are right on the beach with mostly good ocean views (lower floors will be obstructed. They are closest to the main pool and beach. The other two buildings in the back (Woodsy) are considered ocean view and garden view. Higher floors do have ocean views. There is a great pool back there along with a waterslide and also quiet pool. We have stayed in both sections and we liked the back Woodsy area. The main pool area in the closer three buildings is really just a big concrete slab with a couple of pools. The back area is more nicely landscaped. Parking in the back is also easier since they have surface parking and a large garage. All cars for people in the front three have to park in a cramped garage. It really comes down to how important the view is to you. If you want great views and close to the beach you may want to pay extra for the oceanfront and oceanside views. If views aren't as important and you don't mind the longer walk to the beach, then go for the back two (Woodsy).
@@PlasticPellets What did you decide? If you are looking to purchase, I would definitely look into a resale deed. You can save considerable money buying resale.
@@DestinationTimeshare no, not purchasing a timeshare, just booking 2 weeks on VRBO....I decided to rent a Gardenview and save the money, even though initially I was only going to rent an oceanfront unit
It's probably about a 10 minute walk total from your villa to the beach. If you cut through the lobby area, there is also an elevator to go down and another ramp down to the lower pool where the gate to the beach walk is. I would suggest to instead walk along the driveway that is on the north side of the Scallop building. This will bring you out into the lower pool area with easy access to the beach walk and no ramps or elevators. I also have a resort and room tour videos which may give a better idea as to the size of the resort and you can see from our balcony how far away from the water we were. ua-cam.com/play/PLu2eSHfY1FI9Xkh3g51ZwtIrTghLZj1uC.html Have a great trip and thanks for watching!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom oceanfront corner unit in the Scallop building and our kitchen was not that small. Our kitchen was very spacious.
