Wow I just paid for my Procreate and ordered a second generation pen 🖊 from eBay. Fingers crossed that it will do what it says. I paid with PayPal so I have a guarantee. Would be interested in a video on your custom canvas sizes ..... particularly the DPIs you used for each setting, so they can be recreated. Think someone may have mentioned it before in the comments.
Why it cant go back on mine at 8:53? I made cube as example but after i press it it catches it all 4 lines, it can't undo and select only one? Btw great tutorial

I would like to learn digital format and need o start at the very beginning.Many times people who are used to tech skills and language do not realize that beginners often cannot understand those terms. "Interface?" and off we go. Could you suggest a very basic beginner's book to prepare me to follow yours. I was lost at 10 minutes into this and I would so like to learn to use my app properly and then dive into your channel. Thank you, so much.

So, if draw three lines, 1, 2, 3. And after I draw the third line, is there no way to go in and edit just the first line? What if I wanted to resize it, move it, or edit the points then? Is that not possible in Procreate like you could in Adobe Photoshop? (marquee or lasso the line, then edit > free transform?)

Thank you Joe 🙏 I don't use screen protectors because I haven't felt the need for it. I like the feeling of drawing on glass, but who knows, maybe I'd like drawing using screen protector even better. I've gotten this question before, so Perhaps I'll try it out and make a review of it 👀
Best tudorials ever. I am having a problem with my apple pencil 2nd generation. It connects with my ipad pro, is fully charged but refuses to function with procreate. What can I do? Reprogram it?
I see from your comments that I am not the only person struggling to move just one line and not the whole layer. In your replies, you have been directing people towards your Procreate 4.2 video. I've just watched 'Procreate 4.2 Update! - Crop & Resize, Clipping Masks...' (even though most of it was too advanced for me at this stage(!)) ....and I still couldn't find anything that related to the above problem. Did I watch the correct video? Perhaps a link and a timestamp would help. Thanks.
What do you mean just one line? As in linework, or one line of pixels?.. In order to move anything within a layer, you need to select the content using the selection tool -> then use the transform tool to move it around on the canvas. If you need the selection to be moved onto a new layer, then you should copy the content "swipe three fingers down on the canvas" and paste it "swipe three fingers down on the canvas ". Does that answer your question? Hope it helps
Thanks for your swift reply! I'm fine up to 8:52: I've drawn my 2 lines, I've found "edit shape" and I can edit the individual lines. My problem begins with the selection tool [arrow(?)]. Tapping on the arrow selects the whole layer BUT ....when YOU press undo - the little editing circles appear on the last line you transformed, allowing you to edit it separately from the layer. ....When I press undo, all I get is "undo transform" and then "undo line" - no editing circles. I'm only familiar with the selection and transform tools up to the point I've gotten to in your videos, i.e. here [so not very]! Going through a few of your comments, check out the ones from esthykechan [where you recommend your Procreate 4.2 video], kailin henriksen & melody howie. They all have the same issue as me!
I’m having a problem with my settings. Every time I create a line it does go straight, but when I press on the arrow, all of the lines have to be moved at once, rather than selecting a line and letting me move it individually is it possible for you to walk me through what I’m doing wrong or what needs to be fixed in my settings
This is a great tutorial with ProCreate. However I already know all of these features, if you would you can focus on more the hard features of the app. But this video is great keep it up!
As a rank beginner, first time opening the app, I find your video very good except ... the really really basic stuff like how do I draw a line? When I trace the apple pencil on the screen nothing happens. Is there something I haven’t switched on? Your video seems to indicate it just happens when you touch the pencil to the screen, but not for me, help! Thanks
In the Procreate settings, it says "If you are using an Apple Pencil, there's no need to connect, you can start using it right away.". Only thing I can recommend is to contact customer support. Go to Actions-->Help> customer support

OK, seems I wasn’t pressing hard enough, doh! New ipad, afraid to damage the screen I suppose. I started to see ghosts of colour then pressed harder and ... hey presto ... there was my line. So, as I said, something I wasn’t doing.
I accidentally deleted a layer, is there a way to get it back or do I have to do the whole thing all over again. Also, the video was really helpful, thank you 🙏
Hi Richard, thanks for the feedback 👍You can undo by tapping with two fingers... If that doesn't work, then no there is no "trash can" or something like that for the layers that you can retrieve them from.

+Roy Turvey thank you for your feedback. It should simply work. Is the pencil connected? (Does it work in any other app on the ipad)?
Art and Design Yes the pencil’s connected, it’s the new 11inch ipad pro with the apple pencil 2. It works with other apps & in email etc.
In the Procreate settings, it says "If you are using an Apple Pencil, there's no need to connect, you can start using it right away.". Only thing I can recommend is to contact customer support. Go to Actions-->Help> customer support
